The dream began somewhere out in the middle of a forest on the outskirts of a town. There was a kind of fly over thing going on where I saw a bunch of different landmarks without any real basis for what they meant (until later). When the fly over was done, I was walking into the front door of a high school. As I was entering, I was reading a notebook that listed off a bunch of different things that didn't make much sense, until I got to the end and realized I was reading notes regarding the idea of vampires in the community. I had been mapping the forest in an attempt to find a vampire stronghold that was in the area, but didn't know exactly where to go. I had a theory that it had something to do with a small item I found: a kind of "badge" or pin. I can't remember exactly what it was in the shape of, but it was animal like and I thought it was either a rabbit or wolf (the edges were very sharp angles that made it pointy, so hard to distinguish). There was also a smaller shape in the bottom right corner of the badge, but I can't remember anything about it.
As I came inside, I had to get more info and I knew who to go to and where to go. There was a teacher that I somehow knew either had a connection to it all or was possibly a vampire himself. I went over to him and asked him. He was resistant at first, but eventually when I showed him the badge, he knew something was seriously up and caved. He did not know much about it, but he knew enough to give me the name that he thought the badge represented (I think he called it "Pride Rock", but not positive). I thanked him and walked away to the lunch room area. When I got there, I saw a group of about 10 guys sitting at some tables. I knew that at least 4 of them were involved in some way with an event that I recollected (but pretty sure wasn't a part of the dream that I rememberingly experienced). I started off away from the guys I was sure were part of the group I wanted to talk to, asking them about an event that I remembered happening. After the clearly not part of it people, I went to the 4 guys I thought were and picked one of them. Apparently I made the right choice right off the bat. The guy I asked was instantly busted and caved in, talking about it and letting me know I was right. When he was done talking, the other three guys glared at me and got up and left.
There was a gap of time where I must have done something, because I remember next walking back into the cafeteria area. I was going to a friend, the guy I had asked about the event, and saw someone that had been extremely close to him suddenly get up and dart away. I was confused and got closer and was looking at my friend, who was looking pale and trying not to be suspicious. However, he picked up that I wasn't going to just drop it, and he lifted his right hand to give a two finger wave, and I saw it was completely covered in blood. He leaned his neck to the side and I saw the blood around his neck too and knew what it meant. I panicked slightly and tried to help him, but it was too late. He, along with the other people that I thought were suspicious before, all turned at almost the same moment into bloodsuckers and started to come after me. I ran, out the doors, and suddenly shifted to my house. I had closed and locked the doors and windows and gone to my room. I heard them break the front door down and knew they were coming for me, so I tried to figure out an escape plan. My only option: bedroom window. And I took it.
I climbed out the window, but couldn't get to the ground because I was 3 stories down, so instead I went up and got on the roof from the gutter. I got there, and just sort of dangled to try and avoid being seen, and night was starting to fall. I saw some of the vampire people moving around the house, so I got on the roof and almost climbed over the peak of the roof, but I saw one of the vampires from the far side jump up and get high enough, so I stuck behind the peak and slid back down. I lost my grip a little and was dangling off the gutter, as a vampire chick in a bright white fur coat walked under me. Apparently the darkness was enough to keep me from being seen, so they called off the hunt on the idea that I had gotten away. So they picked a new target: my neighbors. I had to watch from the roof as they jumped the wooden privacy fence to their backyard, where a man and woman were having a pool party of just the two. The vampires all attacked and violently killed both of them; their blood got everywhere in huge streaks and even started to stain the pool red with their blood. When they got done killing, they broke into the house and raided it before leaving. I decided it would be safest to either stay in my house or use my neighbors house, since they had already trashed both places and figured they wouldn't assume I came back/stayed there.
I decided on my neighbors place and somehow got there, having a few friends with me now suddenly. Just as I was talking to them about what was going on and trying to make a plan, I heard someone break the door down to the house. We all freaked and tried to hide as we heard whoever intruded coming our way, and hid in a small alcove of a bar area...which was a poor place, because there was a square hole clearly showing our hiding place. Apparently, we thought if we held perfectly still, they wouldn't see us through it. One man, a vampire we found out soon after his arrival, walked over to us and grabbed a bottle of scotch off the shelf without even seeing us (because he was already completely shnockered). We thought we were in the clear, until he called his friend over who immediately saw us through the square hole and grabbed us. He told us that we were all going to be taken to "Pride Rock" to be properly dealt with. As we were marched out of the house, I had a smug smile on my face like I was planning it all along.
