Beyond This Atmosphere.
Hello, fellow dreamers!
Um. I'm a newbie so I'm really sorry if I have just screwed anything or everything up! Ah, I have always been interested in dreams, especially lucid dreams. I found “Mortal Mist” a few days ago, instantly deciding to join up! Now I can share my dreams without my parents telling me to be quiet about my dreams! Heh, heh! Alright. Then. I guess I shall begin with the dream I had one night ago!
Icicles.
Friday, April 24, 2009
I was on the side of the road, the cool breeze brushing against my pallid skin. I was near the gas station that is located a little ways down the road from were my neighborhood, Deerwood, is located. It was nighttime. I was holding two deep black garbage bags that were filled to the brim with my belongings. I had the sinking feeling of dread as I realized that I had snuck away from my home. I did this as I had wanted to go to the power plants, although they are six miles away. I then stepped out onto the road looking right but not left. I became frightened as two cars hit me back onto the sidewalk. Some crimson red liquid explodes out from my right side but I didn't feel anything. I had lain there stunned before getting up..I was then in a freezing ice cave underneath my home, along with Q•Ko as well as Saya. I got up, joining up with my Father. We then proceeded to walk over to a blocked off location of the ice cave. I bent down to look through a rift in the ice. I felt a cool breeze. I then noticed a dazzlingly sharp drop downwards. My Father had already begun to break away at some of the ice. He managed to somehow break it all of, revealing the drop.
“Wait.” I had tried to warn.
My Father then stepped forward, accidentally as well as purposely sliding down. All the ice tumbled forwards along with him. I notice there is no longer a drop. Instead there is a floor appears to be a dropped ceiling. I then hear my Father screaming hysterically. He comes sprinting back to me. With all of his might he jumps up, desperately scraping the ice to get up. This centipede creature that I barely am able to see comes, devouring him.  Me, Q•Ko, and Saya sprint back to the main group which consists of my Mother, Sonic, Rose, and my little brother, Eriq.I then “WAKE UP.” to see “Eriq” all up in meh face. For some unknown reason my breathing is constricted. “Eriq” gets off of my bed. My breathing is no longer constricted. I turn to the real Eriq who is on my cherry red bean bag, calling his name repeatedly.I am in my parents living room with my Father, my Mother, my Grandma, my Grandpa, and Eriq. I walk into my parent's bathroom to acquire toilet paper only to hear a deep roar. I then realize it is the centipede creatures.
“Um. maybe that roar sounds only threatening to them.?” I inquire.
“We need to get out of here.” My Mother mumbles, walking agonizingly slow to the front door.
I cautiously open the front door to reveal pallid yellow slime that's all over our carport. I then run shrieking.

Trance Into Distant Skies...

the brightness of the stars,
inside of my dream,
breathed a sigh,
aah,
the light of the night,
the curtain of clouds,
i tilted my singular glass of wine…

Wow, dramatic start to a dream journal! Giant, roaring, father-munching centipedes. Sounds like something I would be relieved to wake up from!

Oh and I also think I started annoying people talking about dreams so much Tongue it's great to be able to write them down here for other interested people to see!

What are you apologizing for?  You've screwed up nothing.

What a great start to your dream journal here!

Thank you.

Ooh, a false awakening. Always do a reality check every time you wake up and you'll get lucid for those.

Yeah, you didn't screw anything up. I don't think you really can unless you mean to.

Your Oblivion dream seems really interesting.  I like the collection of themes and colors you had in it.  I'd suggest that you start using paragraphs though, so that it's easier to read and take in.

Some interesting things I noticed about your dream that I liked was that you were exploring a building, which could symbolize you discovering something about yourself, and you started and ended the dream in a pastel orange area, which seems to say that you never left, even though you appeared in Walmart at the end.  I recommend as a follow up to the dream you go and look at each of the areas that you were in and ask how they could be significant to you and what they could be revealing to you.
