Dreams helped me too, as bad as they were when I had the type that help people out [mainly because I had no clue why I was dreaming such stuff]. I think they were from self-esteem issues, but once I knew, they were room for me to learn and better myself [hence why if I ever had the nerve to post topless dreams, you'd see I was never really too caring of what people thought].

Dallyup is right MB, you sharing these things is always something we'll enjoy hearing. It shows you're not afraid to tell us what's wrong, there are people who would keep to themselves no matter what, which is bad; it eats them up. So don't be afraid to share, you've obviously got people who are willing to listen.

Can't say for you but I know the dreaming, both lucid and non, have helped me deal with all of it and come out the other side in way better shape than I would have been without it.

I think it probably does too.

I always enjoy your sharing, dreams or life in this reality.  You are a bright light.

Thanks, Dally.  I've enjoyed getting to know you as well.  MM has brought an interesting group of people together.

Yes I definitely think if your dreams are troubling you it will help to talk about them, and make them lose their power.  A lot of times it seems like just doing that can make them go away.  Hmm, I wonder if that might happen to me with the family dreams.  I'd feel kind of bad if I exorcised them from my dreams!

hug  Thanks, LB.  By listening to me, you got into my first dream last night.

Dreams in this post:   D:3 L:1 F:3

I had the ipod on most of the night, listening to subliminals and hemi-sync recordings.  It got uncomfortable towards morning, so I took it off, then had the short lucid.

Conversation with LucidBulbs 75%

LB and I are posting back and forth.  She is asking me about the stock market, and I am explaining to her a bunch of stuff about investment strategies that I don't really know.

Fragments

--Yukky white spiders in the bed.

--A guy with a mask on, saying (singing?) good-bye to me.

--A woman wants me to shopping with her.  She tells me there is a sale in the basement.

On the Bus 95%

I'm sitting in the back of the bus with kids from grade school.  BS is next to me, and there is a boy with red hair behind us, whose name I think I should know (Jim?), but I feel bad because I just can't remember it.  We look like kids, but really we are grown-ups.  We pass down-town, by the landing on the river, where the bars are, and the boy tells me that it's all run-down there now.  I tell him I haven't been down there for years, and I try to see what it looks like now, but I can't really see it.  He says he still lives in town, and his kids are going to a different school than we went to.  Beth notices that I am wearing ear-phones, and she tells me that she wants to learn how to lucid dream.  I tell her I will teach her tomorrow, but not today.  (When I woke up, I realized the red-haired boy was sort of a combination of several kids I knew, or he changed from one to another.)

On a Plane 95%

I'm riding on a plane with my ipod on.  The steward says we have to take our ipods off and put them on the tray-table to be inspected.  I am very annoyed by this, and my ear-phone wires get all tangled up when I take it off.  I put down the tray-table, and somehow the wires get caught in that and I have to ask the man sitting in the seat in front of me to move his chair to let the wires go, which he does.   A woman sitting next to me is watching this, and she makes a comment similar to Beth on the bus about how she is interested in lucid dreaming.  I encourage her to learn and tell her it is a good hobby.

The Gift 100%

I'm lying in bed.  I can hear music and I think it must be my i-pod still playing, lying next to my pillow (it's not really).  It's the Stones playing "Miss You". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qljSuSX1Na0  I think I hear a commotion in the garage, so I get up to see what it is.  A big dog that I don't have anymore is bothering one of the little dogs I have now.  I tell her to cut it out.  I can still hear the music, and I hear these lines from the song:

Well, I've been haunted in my sleep
You've been starring in my dreams

And I think, oh, wait a second....could this be a dream?  And as I think that, I feel as if I am having a successful WILD; I see swirly gray stuff, and I think, oh I have to get into the dream.  The dogs become amorphous blobs, and the garage fades.  I try to visualize an outdoor scene to go into.

I am standing in the loft of an big apartment.  I think about what I wanted to do when I got lucid*.  I had been thinking about it before I went to sleep and every time I woke up, but I can't quite think of it.  I think how strange it is that the mind doesn't work quite right in dreams, and remembering is so difficult.  I feel totally normal mentally, like I should be able to remember, but I'm aware that I've forgotten what I wanted to do even tho I had just been thinking of it a little while before.  I think, if I get started moving around, it will come to me.

The apartment is very open and sparsely furnished.  I realize I'm in a high-rise building, so if I fly out of the apartment I can get into the city and maybe get something done.  I try to focus beyond the apartment, and I see a city-scape, sort of pale and cartoonish, but existing there beyond the walls.

I dive off of the balcony, planning on escaping the apartment.  I hit a big heavy coffee table which slows me down considerably.  It takes several moments for my head to pass thru the top part of the table, then I'm in the space before the top and bottom shelf.  I feel like I'm slowing down more and more, and actually getting stuck in the table.  As soon as I think that, I'm back up on the balcony again.

I look around the apartment again.  Now all of the furniture is gone, and in the middle of the floor is a package.  It is a gift, wrapped in orchid-colored cloth, with a bow of the same material.  Oh goodie, a present for me!  I can't wait to see what it is.  I dive off the balcony and pick up the package.  It is hard and flat, like a book.  I start to unwrap it...
(Tom moves and wakes me up! %*&#$#!!!)

I try to WILD after waking up, and get HI several times, but never am able to get back into a real dream.

* What I had planned on doing was flying to Macinac to visit pj on his vacation, and along the way using TK, or becoming insubstantial, or doing whatever other opportunities came up.  Basically same as always, so I should be able to remember it.  >:(

Well that's a very interesting thing to occur in a lucid, your mind presents you with a present. That would make for a good premeditated task as well. I would be almost affraid to open a present addressed to me. Remember the movie "Seven"?

indeed Mb your family life has been tough but I couldnt agree more, you certainly have handled it right, in fact you have helped me out alot with your advice.

Cool dreams last night! lol I laughed at the convo with LB he he I can just picture you talking away like that lol! I am sure I am guilty of doing the same thing lol

Its interesting how 2 DCs tried to engage you in talk about LDing, do you think that was a result of the Ipod? and speaking of them how annoying is it when the wire gets tangled! lol shame that occupied a large amount of that dream

nice one on the lucid MB, lol at getting stuck in the table. I love the way your dream shifted! it must have been so cool! I dont think I have ever experienced anything like that. Maybe you could make a new task for constructing a dream scape like you did.

ahhh how annoying just when you were about to find out what the present was! how annoying lol

Haha, you got annoying iPod dreams as well Grin Great to hear, that you are using your iPod now and it enters your dreams too. And even better that you got a nice lucid!! Good thinking when you heard that line!

Bwuh, I hate it when I forget my most important lucid tasks :( Too bad you didn't visit pj :(
Strange that you got caught in a table, as if your mind wanted to hold you back...
But hey, you had a nice lucid, that's a good start and promising for more!

Thanks for sharing on your family stuff. For me, it shows a whole other perspective of you.
You were just doing the best you could and you are very loyal and helpfull, so please don't blame yourself for that!

That magical bunny doesn't always help; my Dad's friend really did die of what the dream-friend had; and he and I used to argue all the time about God before he got sick, but at the end it was very sad; he died young, in his 40's, and he was not comforted at all by his beliefs, he was extremely angry and despondent; he kept saying he was going to be "annihilated".  Which is one way of putting it, I guess, but I don't think it would bother me as much as it bothered him.  I wouldn't care at all about dying, except I don't want to leave anybody who is dependent on me.
these words are so sad, but painfully true (no wonder even castaneda's words + teachings are used as comfort to some).  i just got back from the ER where my dad is awaiting open heart surgery tomorrow morning.  these words you wrote mb are mostly my thoughts as i made the hour drive back home, oh and to stop off to buy the $50 missal from a religious store at my dad's request for him.  at least having the oxygen helps him and his spirits are a bit better now than the last 3 days or more.

OK!  I'm ready for more recording-induced lucids tonight!  I recommend it to anybody who hasn't ever tried it, or has but put it up for a while.  I don't know if it was because it was special lucid-dream stuff, or just the fact that I was listening to something.  I think I'll try some songs and my own recordings to test it out.

You sound like my stockbroker.

From what I've learned, unfortunately that's probably true.

shock Doc!  Don't do that!  I was going to look for my present again, but now I don't know if I should!  Well, I'm pretty sure it was a book, anyway.   confused

indeed Mb your family life has been tough but I couldnt agree more, you certainly have handled it right, in fact you have helped me out alot with your advice.

Well I'm glad if something good comes from it; it's a bummer to learn the hard way always.

You mean when I was in the garage and it went into like a WILD?  That was kind of weird; it was like I was only semi-lucid, and I was almost afraid to move until I got totally lucid, and I thought I had to get out of the garage and into the real dream first.  Yea that should be a task, shouldn't it?

Quote from: Mark

Well I was going to look for it again; but now I think Dr. Tech ruined it.  >:(  JK, I'll probably forget what he said.  I hope.  Undecided

Actually I thought that it might be an album, but it seemed bigger and heavier than that.  Maybe a boxed set...Stones might be that big... Cheesy

I got those annoying dreams last time I used it too, but I don't care if it works.  I didn't even realize that song had a dream line in it til I heard it in the dream!  That was my first thought, I never noticed that line about dreaming before!  My mind helped me, for once.

I know it's so weird to know that I am not remembering right; I totally knew I had just been thinking of it, but it felt like I was trying to remember something from weeks ago.  I used to get stuck in stuff like that all the time; I guess I'm out of practice.

Yea, I think the DC's were the manifestation of the subliminal messages, and the annoying ipod stuff was because it was uncomfortable.
