Mu! Don't be Paranoid! (That's a good dreamy one!) I think I was just in the right state of mind for it.. You know how sometimes you wake up (for WBTB) and your mind seems somehow both very awake, but very ready to go back into a dream? Yes; I wish I had that all the time, but it's so rare. Usually it's a huge struggle. I know that happens.
You've proved it? I think I remember that.. It's not the first time that's happened to me either, and I believe it. I just think it really does. It's hard to maintain.
I think it's a cycle or something.. Yea. Just need to shorten the frequency. CWILD! With poor recall! Darn. But see, it does work! Do you think it was the CWILD that got you lucid? Did it have any sort of different feel to it? Center of the universe
This dream was way too long to type coherently. This was an extended time dream. Begins very "passively" lucid, but becomes increasingly so. An ED! I think it was good recall and coherent for how long it is, but I know often there is so much more to it. (And you roof-jumped, but I was almost getting scared when I read that part; I didn't want SC to get any ideas when I finally get around to doing that.) In this part of the world my dad used to be a legend amongst this group of travelers; vaguely pirate-like people who travel to distant dream worlds. They've just come from far over the rolling hills in the "winterland," and they buy me a few drinks in his honor.
At the end I walk through the original town, singing a song to which the people I was drinking with join in. My father is hinted to be returning; I hear his voice faintly in the distance, also singing. Others appear to hear it to, and a sort of awe takes hold of them.
I liked these parts; and the end brought the dream back full-circle, like you were saying. Extra cool since this was an ED. Or should we call it an ETD?

This was just the first dream--there were a lot more, killed by FAs. Have you called the dream police to arrest those murderous FAs? I float above the yard, and the yard has become a great mound of confusion, an ever changing cloud-like sea. In tall grass lies ominous beings cast down to Earth during the apocalypse. I watch an ancient greyhound navigate the maze solemnly. On our platform we oversee a web of chaos. Let me see if I can think of a useful comment... No, but at least I tried. Cubes of some stone, a substance not from this world, rise from the ground and pile upon themselves, building for themselves a tower that is both within the yard and surrounds it. It reaches to the stars, but we sit below, on the grass, above the clouds, watching the dog like a lost ship. The world is over.. It's quiet. A dream spent watching a dog... That would be a waste if you weren't watching it/him «like a lost ship». Just kidding, it seemed a beautiful dream. I'm drinking in a bar, which is in a stack of boxes above a chaotic fantasy land. A woman slaps me in the face when she learns that I'm here instead of with my sister in the hospital, where she is having her eyes reconstructed with long needles by insect-like aliens. However I don't need to be there until 1, so I pass the time in this sub-world. She was right! You should have been there, supporting your sister because of the stress and anxiety that usually precedes a surgery! In this part of the world my dad used to be a legend amongst this group of travelers; vaguely pirate-like people who travel to distant dream worlds. They've just come from far over the rolling hills in the "winterland," and they buy me a few drinks in his honor. Epic dreams are a family thing to you, then. When we're a bit drunk we begin climbing on roofs and pole-vaulting out of windows, onto ever-descending metal slides that float inexplicably in the sky; finally we end up in a grease-filled restaurant with a head cook who looks like the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. She instructs me to go find the magician; he waits at he crossroads between the snow land and the real world. Did you see the film? I leave the village of stacked buildings along the dirt and mud road into the forest. Five fogs accompany me and speak wisdom, cast enchantments upon objects, trees, and animals, causing them to transform and speak, and provide light in the dark, overhanging parts of the forest. We often make camp along the way and sit by the fire; I speak with the fogs (which are.. animate, floating.. fogs, or something) about many things; ancient tales of dream travel in far-off lands.. Talking with fogs... We get to hills of mud and rock under a green sky. A genie appears with a dinosaur, from a glittering mound of bones, and summons us to prehistoric times. We go to an Earth of lava and rock. Dinosaurs! Everywhere.. And thousands of small, incredibly bizarre animals; the sounds they make, and their appearance, are unbelievably interesting. The atmosphere is so.. clean, and it's like a great dawn. But people from other worlds roam about half in this one; their minds screwed up by some forces that the genie teaches to me. He explains their condition, but it's in wordless terms. How cool! Even better than Jurassic Park (is Jurassic Time)! such that the ominous sound reverberates throughout the whole of reality. It has spun an invisible web into the world. This could have fructified in a visit to an on-line dictionary, but it didn't. The world is startlingly fantasy-like; it is small but vast, and the sky is near. The strangest and most distant array of characters are all familiar with one another, and the snow causes a great sealing in of the world, making it quieter, while somehow making it distant. A Chesire cat appears above a wooden sign that says to go west. The cat says we must transverse a sea. The Cheshire cat, the Queen of Hearts, whats next? We descend into the sea. Sunken Atlantis sits with laboratories for the masters of dreams. There they sit amongst shells and their strange artifacts, projecting illusion as reality to the world above. They see open before them all minds, as on a big screen before them, and a sphere of light encircles their city. Did you imagine if this was real? I take over the minds of everyone in the village; make them walk and climb like marionettes. He shows me how, and helps me to also transform them into anything I wish. We transform people and the land. Content in my abilities, I walk away along the roofs, leaving the magician and my companions to explore the dream world. Mu is returning to that manipulative stage that he abandoned a few dreams ago. I come to an edge; beyond this last roof, after having hopped over countless, is an invisible wall that looks like a vast desert. I attempt to create another building on which to jump, but I hear a voice, almost snickering, say "Careful!" I do so anyway, and succeed. Upon this roof the floor inexplicably changes to black, without my control. The voice says "I warned you!" and the next roof changed to many small stones upon which I slip. I press on. After a dozen or so roofs, their appearances alter wildly, becoming more and more treacherous--cliffs, jagged rocks, spikes adorned with corpses, pools of blood and fire.. And the distance before me stretches ever further on, and the land becomes more alien and desolate. An illusory wasteland consumes all. The voice told you! Always listen to your little voices. The voice says, now serious with a hint of compassion--the world can be created by "12," but it takes "36" to transverse it. A black whirlwind becomes a tunnel and sweeps me away. Another phrase of wisdom, by SC-mu. At the end I walk through the original town, singing a song to which the people I was drinking with join in. My father is hinted to be returning; I hear his voice faintly in the distance, also singing. Others appear to hear it to, and a sort of awe takes hold of them. And the return of the long lost hero foreshadowed your awakening? BTW, what's that thing in your avatar?

How do you manage to remember (let alone recall) all that material?
I like the numbers - 12 and 36. There could be lots of symbolism in the dream but it's a mammoth task to put it all together.

Epic. I want this length of LD without FA after FA. Your dreams are so fantastic and full of craziness. Jealous.
Thank you! Unfortunately, it seems they rarely come without the FAs. I think there should be a deeper investigation into FAs; they seem so inexplicably tied to certain otherwise awesome types of lucids. I'm jealous of your recall. Mu! Don't be Paranoid! (That's a good dreamy one!) I don't know why I didn't use it before. I suddenly (when I changed it, not right now) remembered a dream I had many years ago involving that image. I'm trying to do something with that; it was one of my favorite dreams ever. More info if it works! Yes; I wish I had that all the time, but it's so rare. Usually it's a huge struggle. I've decided to brainwash myself, so I'm like that all the time. I just think it really does.
I think it especially happens with epic dreams. Yea. Just need to shorten the frequency.
Seriously, I think we can. There's probably other cycles that constructively interfere with it, and I've no doubt it's shorter sometimes than others. And it's generally gotten shorter since I took up lucidity. That sounds funny. Darn. But see, it does work! Do you think it was the CWILD that got you lucid? Did it have any sort of different feel to it?
Well, I think it helped, and it did feel different.. I mentioned to you a while ago that I had some nights that were really full of crazy on and off lucidity a million times, and I think they may have been due to accidental CWILDs, as it were. There is a distinctive hyper-alertness that is somehow not frantic but a stable sort of intentness.. That's how this one felt too. An ED! I think it was good recall and coherent for how long it is, but I know often there is so much more to it. (And you roof-jumped, but I was almost getting scared when I read that part; I didn't want SC to get any ideas when I finally get around to doing that.)
There was a lot more.. That had to be one of the longest ever. I remembered a lot of indescribable stuff too. I liked that dream. Is there significance to the roof jumping? Is it a challenge or something? BTW, don't be scared. Remember that it's always cool-scary in here. So your SC needs to do something cool, not scary. I liked these parts; and the end brought the dream back full-circle, like you were saying. Extra cool since this was an ED. Or should we call it an ETD?
I think that happened because I'd just been remarking on that in your DJ! That seems to happen a lot--when I say something in someone else's DJ, it gets in my dreams. Can I talk about mermaids in your DJ? Have you called the dream police to arrest those murderous FAs? They're just barbaric.. It's terrible! Let me see if I can think of a useful comment... No, but at least I tried.
Don't think about it too much. A dream spent watching a dog... That would be a waste if you weren't watching it/him «like a lost ship». Just kidding, it seemed a beautiful dream.
It's true that the way the dog moved was fascinating and thoroughly dream-worthy. Like I said, like a statue of a dog, drifting like a painted ship, upon a painted ocean. Water, water, everywhere, and all the boards did shrink. Water, water, everywhere, nor any drop to drink. That's what I said, right? She was right! You should have been there, supporting your sister because of the stress and anxiety that usually precedes a surgery! Drinking- DC-mu is unscrupulous! Epic dreams are a family thing to you, then. Maybe. Or maybe we're all pirates. Yar! Did you see the film?
No, is it good? I read the book. Talking with fogs... What? Like you don't? How cool! Even better than Jurassic Park (is Jurassic Time)!
DDCs (Dinosaur Dream Characters) are freaking awesome. This could have fructified in a visit to an on-line dictionary, but it didn't.
*cough* Say fructify *again*, OK? The Cheshire cat, the Queen of Hearts, whats next?
Yes, sort of a pattern there.. Did you imagine if this was real? Ha! Of course there's absolutely no real deception such as that by those in power! Mu is returning to that manipulative stage that he abandoned a few dreams ago.
Yeah, mu often forgets what he just did in dreams. The voice told you! Always listen to your little voices. Oh, absolutely! Them, and the talking fogs. Another phrase of wisdom, by SC-mu.
Yup, words to live by there. And the return of the long lost hero foreshadowed your awakening?
BTW, what's that thing in your avatar?
Yeah, that seemed like a medieval tale or something. That is this album. (But see my remark to Moonbeam.) How do you manage to remember (let alone recall) all that material?
If I knew, I'd remember every night! But Mr. Smiley won't have that, as you know. I like the numbers - 12 and 36. There could be lots of symbolism in the dream but it's a mammoth task to put it all together.
The way the numbers were presented in the dream seemed incredibly profound; a grand revelation, of course. That was a powerful dream that seemed to be playing in my head all day.

I do remember one thing. It took hours and hours but.. by the time I was done with it, I was so involved, I didn't know what to think. I carried it around with me for days and days.. playing little games like not looking at it for a whole day and then.. looking at it. to see if I still liked it. I did. | I repeat myself when under stress. I repeat myself when under stress. I repeat myself when under stress. I repeat myself when under stress. I repeat.. | The more I look at it, the more I like it. I do think it's good. The fact is.. no matter how closely I study it, no matter how I take it apart, no matter how I break it down, It remains consistent. I wish you were here to see it.

03-04-10The mermaidsI'm driving down the road. There's a woman I "know" with me. The peculiar thing is that I know this is the DC form of her; she knows it too--although who she is the DC form of is not clear, since she seems to in fact be entirely a DC in the first place.. On account of this deliberation the world takes on a decidedly dream-like character.. Almost just like a dream.. The road is becoming more and more filled with potholes. Quite treacherous, menacing, they are--as if they're alive.. Big, gaping, laughing mouths--with teeth! The road is trying to eat us! We are trying to drive to town hall to have a word with the mayor. In what may be my strangest dream-role yet, I seem to be a politician. Now, it appears as if we won't be able to make it, thanks to the apocalyptic potholes. Crestfallen, we pull into a gas station. Completely ignoring the earthquakes and collapsing roads, we merely request gas as on a normal day. Would that things were so simple, for I there discover that we've blown a tire. I attempt to change the tire while parked at the pump, to which a hideous, large, cackling woman--the attendant--reacts with bitter rage. She makes me pick up the car and move it to the parking lot near the station's store. I can not hide my anger, and I remark very cleverly and subtly in a way that confuses the attendant. The woman with me is impressed by my biting wit. A downtrodden zombie sits on the verge of despair in the parking lot. At our sight he however lights up, embracing me as a brother, our minds as one against a #@$!ed up world. He carries many strange tires; half rotten loops of rubber hang from his bony arms. He speaks with a thick (Haitian?) accent, and mumbles as though possessed. I regretfully admit that I don't think any of his tires should help us, but he dismisses this with knowing eyes.. For there are ancient and powerful symbols inscribed upon our tires.. Indeed, they reveal the secrets of reality! I gaze in wonder.. He waits patiently for the blood of the attendant.

The vampires mermaids
My grandfather has died and left me a box full of pieces of shiny metal. Some vampires happen by, stop, and stare cautiously at the box. After a hushed argument amongst themselves, two of them approach me and warn that much of the metal is in fact silver.
I wonder why that should concern me as one of them produces a mirror which contains an altered version of the world. Inside, I see that things are a much altered.. version of the world. Things are upside down and backwards, in strange perspectives, with dark light, and light dark. Every object in the reflected room is alive and conscious of itself, and waits in quite eternal self-reflection. I am surrounded by a reddish haze, and my face is that of a vampire-like wolf.
A large old-fashioned radio is the only object in the mirror that does not appear to correspond to anything real. Insects crawl upon its shiny metallic parts. I have a strange fixation on it, I am mesmerized, and the world around it darkens, so that only the radio speaks from the great void. It communicates with something deep in my mind. I stare (listen?) for unknown time until my vampire friends gently coax me back to reality.
They ask if I should like to fly through the night in search of blood. We depart into the glorious night, and the world becomes ever more exquisite and surreal, my senses having taken on a remarkable acuteness. Though they say we're searching for blood, this seems symbolic of something utterly without a corresponding concept in the waking world.

03-07-10Fragments- I'm in a recurring, secret, fascinating town. You'd think I'd have better recall of it because of this, but *no*.. - three and four sends me a super top-secret message relating to the singularity. I believe it was referred to as a "restricted" message. In it, he describes plans to form a secret organization that will weather the singularity, which will be more or less the apocalypse for most of the world, but will be the start of a fantastic new age for those that survive. Indeed, it has begun to look lately that the singularity is imminent. Great metallic ships only half in this dimension hover all about outside, and my computer has evolved into a sort of spiritual being which seems to be having a lucid dream, even as I sit reading its monitor. - Super fantastic coding dream. I actually dreamed about how the front pages should look. If only I could remember it!

Can I talk about mermaids in your DJ? What's with the mermaids? BTW, this smiley is so cheap that I decided I should put it here: A dream spent watching a dog... That would be a waste if you weren't watching it/him «like a lost ship». Just kidding, it seemed a beautiful dream.

You should have been there, supporting your sister because of the stress and anxiety that usually precedes a surgery! Drinking- DC-mu is unscrupulous! If your DC was the only thing unscrupulous in your mind, then the world would be safe. (and no, unscrupulous didn't fructified in a visit to a dictionary - it's very similar to a Portuguese word - escrupuloso)Epic dreams are a family thing to you, then. Maybe. Or maybe we're all pirates. Yar! «A canção do Grande Pirata, A morte berrada do Grande Pirata a cantar Até meter pavor plas espinhas dos seus homens abaixo. Lá da ré a morrer, e a berrar, a cantar: Fifteen men on the Dead Man's Chest. Yo-ho ho and a bottle of rum !» Maritime/ Naval Ode by Álvaro de Campos/ Fernando Pessoa(considering that I couldn't find a translation of that part, you'll have to content with the translation of a part, a meager part - the poem has more than 20 pages!) Did you see the film?
No, is it good? I read the book. I don't know, I haven't seen it either. Talking with fogs... What? Like you don't? Fogs here aren't very talkative. This could have fructified in a visit to an on-line dictionary, but it didn't.
*cough* Say fructify *again*, OK? Yet again? If you say so: I fructify, Eu frutifico You fructify Tu frutificas He fructifies Ele frutifica ... Nós frutificamos .... Vós frutificais They fructify Eles frutificam Another phrase of wisdom, by SC-mu.
Yup, words to live by there. If you are searching for the meaning of those numbers, don't forget that 12x3= 36, and that 4x3= 12. And the return of the long lost hero foreshadowed your awakening? Yeah, that seemed like a medieval tale or something. Like King Arthur or another sleeping hero? BTW, what's that thing in your avatar? That is this album. (But see my remark to Moonbeam.) I understand where it came from, but I didn't understand what it is. Remarks? Where, where?

What's with the mermaids? BTW, this smiley is so cheap that I decided I should put it here: Bless you, SS. For the mermaid. I'm hoping for something a little more, uh, woman-like, but it's the thought that counts. I'm trying to brainwash myself into dreaming about them. You explained it better this time.
Actually Coleridge took over my mind for a second. If your DC was the only thing unscrupulous in your mind, then the world would be safe. (and no, unscrupulous didn't fructified in a visit to a dictionary - it's very similar to a Portuguese word - escrupuloso) You don't think I'm scrupulous.. Thanks a lot man.. Thanks.. Fine! I'll just have to make up words then. Let's see you figure out what, I don't know, "adoonywrenndloone" means. «A canção do Grande Pirata, A morte berrada do Grande Pirata a cantar Até meter pavor plas espinhas dos seus homens abaixo. Lá da ré a morrer, e a berrar, a cantar: Fifteen men on the Dead Man's Chest. Yo-ho ho and a bottle of rum !» Maritime/ Naval Ode by Álvaro de Campos/ Fernando Pessoa(considering that I couldn't find a translation of that part, you'll have to content with the translation of a part, a meager part - the poem has more than 20 pages!) Whoa--is the original poem in Portugese? The "Yo-ho ho" line is very well known here, but I don't know where it comes from. It sounds cool like that! (I'll have to read that later, thanks!) I don't know, I haven't seen it either.
But you've read the book, right? Right?! Fogs here aren't very talkative.
How do you know, unless you've tried? Yet again? If you say so: I fructify, Eu frutifico You fructify Tu frutificas He fructifies Ele frutifica ... Nós frutificamos .... Vós frutificais They fructify Eles frutificam What have I done?! I just can't believe it.. I'm speechless. If you are searching for the meaning of those numbers, don't forget that 12x3= 36, and that 4x3= 12.
I think Bu likes it when you tell him stuff like that. (And here I thought it had something to do with feet and yards--things one tends to notice when falling off roofs. But you wouldn't know about them, because Europeans use that silly, perfectly logical and rational metric system, instead of the perfectly intuitve and emminently calculable imperial system. ) Cool, I like reading about that kind of stuff. I need to get my dream in here because I actually accomplished something in it, but I will read those shortly. I understand where it came from, but I didn't understand what it is. Remarks? Where, where? I think it's supposed to be a "war pig," but I didn't know that until I read that article. I thought it was something more trippy than that.

03-09-10Real strange houseInterminable. This is sort of depressing, because this must have been one of the coolest dreams I've ever had. Extended time, without question.. Seemed like weeks. Strangely, extended dreams seem to occur when I get less sleep; i.e. 4 hours.I'm in the strangest house ever. *Ever.* The house is immense, floats in space, and ghosts of aliens and bodies float in the walls. We (yes, I am many) wander the halls in timeless ponder of the universe. All is still, yet darkly possessed. Stars and beautiful celestial formations drift past my window.. Demons grip and speak with our minds. We play a game called "remembering."We remember dreams that I had as my former self. Beings as large as stars surround the house, hold us in a place out of phase with itself, whole voices speak and make me relive countless (real) dreams--but this time I'm lucid. Some of us carry bodies into and out of receptacles in the walls. The wall are alive and change with time; the house changes with time, reflecting somewhat the dreams I've most recently experienced. One dream I revisit is the laboratory under the Bermuda triangle--a place I've been trying to get to for years. My god, it was so amazing.. And non-recallable..At another point the house is transformed into what the spirits say is MoSh's house. An almost invisible ghost, a beautiful woman with a white gown, drifts rapidly like light in circles throughout the rooms, moaning, almost singing a tale in a strange language. A similar, but hideous, and unspeakably evil woman, with a long floppy nose pursues her. The house looks, in stark contrast, quite warm and inviting. Like a large living room, somehow ancient yet modern. Many strange lamps. We pick up more bodies and set them drifting into the walls, as if we'd placed them on water.Space outside begins to get intolerably bright. Space is strangely like underwater, isolated but alive with millions of beings in all directions. I declare that we go to the sun. Our house merges slowly with the outer atmosphere and merges with it. The sun is inside of half our house. We sit staring into the surface. I feel the presence of hundreds of lost souls. All is still, a great awe has set and my mind explodes into the depths of the star. I (something, we) travel into the land of no-mind, into the star only awareness of strange colors, patterns, quietude of mind goes. It looks like the beginning of a universe.. I stay there forever, it seems, and die. I awaken in the house of the preacher.(It had occurred to me how the sun appeared to rise, rise, and keep rising, until it swallowed into our house. I'd thought amusingly to myself of the house of the rising sun.) (There were many more adventures in the house. I relived many past dreams from a lucid perspective. The events that follow obliterated all that.) The preacher, a seemingly kind old man who lives in a tower (repeat DC, location) speaks in tongues to himself, smoking a pipe, as I slowly awaken on a couch. I grab a digital recorder (a very strange thing, since I've never used one) and record the previous dream in minuscule detail, spending hours going over and over it, drawing charts, cross-checking timelines, re-visualizing events.. I've got it all down, almost an encyclopedia. Has it been hours I've been recalling? Days? The preacher pretends not to notice me. I hear suddenly voices of spirits call out my name from the recorder, taunting, mocking.. It seems incredibly unnerving.. I freeze in fear. A philosopher has joined our group for dream class. MM members sit and discuss, the philosopher prattles on about his vast knowledge, describes key events in evolution of lucidity. I relate my recent dream--have I mentioned the experiments with evolution in the underwater lab? I show him my notes. Then, the problem of dreams and existence--I describe, knowingly, how I've found in that dream that dreams are not driven by an extreme emotion in one direction or another--rather, it is both extremes that are generated, and it's the balance of things that drive it. He suddenly takes me seriously; I say merely, crazy dream.Something in there where I heard the song "The Sounds of Science." A song SC made up, sort of. To the music of "Sounds of Silence," but with words in line with this--also sung by them. (Sean999 shared this in chat.) I see all that stuff while I hear it, but I forget when or why this happened. Santa and the Easter Bunny were in the dream somewhere? I feel completely unable to really describe this dream. The false recording in the middle really killed me.. I kept getting lucid again and not believing how cool it'd been so far.. Man, this it what dreams are all about..

Officially we use metric but most people still use imperial. I was taught metric at school in the 70s. But even my children prefer to use feet and inches etc. I guess many of us are "bilingual" when it comes to measurements! Santa and the Easter Bunny were in the dream somewhere? WTF
Actually that's pretty amazing now I think about it. I feel completely unable to really describe this dream. The false recording in the middle really killed me.. I kept getting lucid again and not believing how cool it'd been so far.. Man, this it what dreams are all about..
As always, I'm impressed by how much you do recall.

The mermaids I wanted to comment on this dream before, but when I read it fructified (yes, once more) in a visit to a dictionary. The problem weren't the words whose meaning I didn't know, but the search for a more difficult word to put in this comment. I postponed my comments on everyone's DJ for that, and still couldn't finder a better word... For there are ancient and powerful symbols inscribed upon our tires.. Indeed, they reveal the secrets of reality! I gaze in wonder.. The secrets of reality! Why did you want the teleport secret? He waits patiently for the blood of the attendant. 03-05-10
The vampires mermaids No new words in this dream... My grandfather has died and left me a box full of pieces of shiny metal. Some vampires happen by, stop, and stare cautiously at the box. After a hushed argument amongst themselves, two of them approach me and warn that much of the metal is in fact silver. Something you can always sell... or use to kill vampires! And we'd have mu, the vampire slayer replacing Buffy in a cheap TV show. All the wonderful things dreams inspire in you! I have a strange fixation on it, I am mesmerized, Was this supposed to take me to a dictionary? if it was, it was a very feeble attempt (mesmerized = mesmerizado). And we decide to censor the part where we penetrate our teeth in the neck of an innocent woman ... 03-06-10não lembro How about, não me lembro? - Super fantastic coding dream. I actually dreamed about how the front pages should look. If only I could remember it! I hate when this happens!

Awesome experience mu. That was much more than just a lucid, that was a Super Lucid and a Super Experience, the kind that makes lucid dreaming worth pursuing.
