I hope you find more time to slow down and enjoy everything life has to offer. I think we all need to remember to do that sometimes. Hopefully you'll be able to take some time out with the holidays coming up.
It is nice to see your lucid dreams returning. And that last dream with the lightning storm sounds pretty intense.

Wow. Fascinating dream, Seeker - very vivid description.
And a very interesting question.

Was driving in my car near the Big Lots store in town. It was a horrible storm, violent lightning, strong winds, tornado's and other vortexes forming, disolving, then reforming again in different configurations. Lightning strikes were frequent and would last for 10 seconds instead of the usual split second strikes.
I remember seeing a huge lightning flash and then seeing the image of a human body take form in the clouds. It appeared all twisted and visible only in ultra-violet as a false color image before solidifying into the form of human flesh and falling unmoving and apparently dead into the middle of the street.
She was a young woman, somewhere in age between seventeen and twenty-five wearing denim capri pants and a loose fitting woven blouse, I think it was sky blue in color. She was barefooted.
I wondered to myself as I looked at her, had she been sucked up into the storm or had the storm had opened some type of gateway through which she entered this world.
I was saddened that she was dead. Were you certain in the dream that she was dead? That dream, I would have no idea where to begin to try and help determine any significance or interpretation.

Was it just dream sadness, or did the feeling persist after waking?

Yes Howie, absolutly certain she was dead. I also got the impression many people died in that storm. Raklet, I'm still sad and kind of in a state of emotional shock. I'll be pondering the significance of that dream for many days to come...

Grief associated with death stems from the pain of loss. Vision of death can be a dream symbol for loss IRL.

One of those powerful-emotion dreams.

Ah, uhm, wow. I don't know what to say. I've never experienced a dream as powerful as that.

First new entry in a long time. Hopefully now that I'm on vacation I can update this thing regularly.
Low level lucid last night. I remember verifying it was a lucid by noticing the "Lucid Sky" as I call it. A lucid sky is that intense almost cobalt blue that I often find in my LDs. I imagine the sky at about 50,000 feet looks a lot like that.
Anyway, small amount of flying, nothing great about it other than the fact it was a lucid and was my first one in a while.

I got shot up out of a car, and saw the sky, and the city, and the water--the sight was so incredible, it had to be a dream. Now...how do we induce that!? I'd get lucid every time if I could see that in my dream. Anyway, small amount of flying, nothing great about it other than the fact it was a lucid and was my first one in a while.
Hey, that's always good.

You may be able to produce that sky in your imagination if you concentrate on it enough. I do that a lot with image streaming. I feel myself way up high in the sky looking down on a city by either just imagining it, or else reviewing a previous time that I have done this. And more often than not, when I am able to stay awake, I soon find myself somewhere real high in the air looking down on a city, although it is usually a different scene than the one I had been imagining. Either that, or I end up somewhere else doing something else aware that I am watching an image stream. There seem to be certain scenes that a person can concentrate on that will take them into image streams or lucid dreams, and this sounds like one of those kind of scenes that would do that.

You know iadr, I will probably do just that as part of the yoga workshop. Sometimes in the fall we have a "Lucid Sky". It is horribly distracting when I'm mowing the yard since I'm constantly reality checking.

Filling in some back entries:
Epic night of non-lucid dreaming. The main thing I remember now, three days later was walking way out onto a frozen lake. The ice was thin and I was afraid it was going to break with me. Creeping back very carefully, I looked down, frozen beneath the ice was a herd of cows, they were Holsteins. It was very weird and I remember thinking of frozen mamoths and wondering to myself if we were on the threshold of a new iceage.

Another night full of non-lucid dreams, this main dream:
I found some sort of teleportation device in Wal-Mart near the door. It teleported me to an alien spaceship and I made several trips. On one trip, I found myself near a kiosk of some sort, the human looking alien behind the desk told me I had to present a three logical arguments on the three topics, one after another:
1) Why Jesus is the son of God and the validity of Christianity 2) Something to do with Jelly beans, I don't remember what 3) Why Jesus is not the son of God and why Christianity is therefore flawed.
I made it through the first agrument, then a dream shift occurred and I forgot the other topics.
On my last visit to the spaceship, the teleporter disappeared after I used it. There were a multitude of people a all being queued up and processed. I'm pretty sure it was the entire population of the earth that was on board and was being transported to serve as lobor on another planet. I had a bad feeling the Earth no longer was inhabitable or had been destroyed. I was being interviewed to see if I had any special skills they could use, and am pretty sure they were looking for someone in management or an overseer. Long and very vivid chained dream lasting most of the night.
