FRAGMENT
wood splinters on very grainy bumpy knotty wood and i was "hand rubbing" it up and down.   

GYMNASTICS TRYOUTS
in gymnasium, walking through.  many girls all dressed for dancing, like groups either soon to be judged or performing or trying out for being part of the group.  very colorful costumes.  so many people, and huge room.  i walked through a door to another gymnasium where many girls were all dressed for gymnastics.  i found a small dark room off to right side of the second gym and there was a double bed in there with a girl and her mother in the bed, resting before the competition.  i talked with them both for a while, about gymnastics, one of my friends IRL being a gymnast at one time, and somehow sharing stories of this.  the girl gave me a high-five as i encouraged her to do her best, and that we understood the pressure of the day, even though her mom wasn't showing this.  i left, wandering out into the second gym, and searching for the first gym. 

AISLE RACE
as i tried to go through the door which was going to go into the first gym, it really went into a warehouse or store of some sort.  i was running away from the gym and toward an exit down at the end of a long aisle.  on another aisle to my left, there was a man who was "riding" a stock cart of some kind, very recklessly, very fast, and then amazingly stopping before hitting the wall.  i witnessed this on the video monitor which was hanging over the exit which was being fed by a camera watching the man on the cart.  i was amazed and left the room after some kind of interaction.  somehow this video monitor turned into my dream and instead of a video it turned into some kind of graph of some kind which i was explaining to "someone" the movement of the boy across the floor on this cart, and how it was distorting space-time.  black monitor, blue graph line colored in solid to one side.  odd. 

TREES
during this talking i found myself up an oak tree, looking at the monitor, talking to "someone" (sky? - nebulous) and then noticed squirrels peaking out of the area at the foot of the tree.  2 squirrels.  one of them jumped up towards me trying to kill me.    yes, it was clear he repeatedly tried to jump high enough to kill me, but he couldn't get this high.  i kicked him once and sent him flying.  funny. 

BUILDING SLIDE
from the tree i felt like i worked really hard and was walking inside a second floor apartment of daisuke and hina and ai was there too.  she was laying down, without her pants on, and i was up walking around.  i noticed the floor swaying, and the whole apartment doing so. i felt it in my head first... balance.  i looked out a window at an evergreen tree (very clear!) and confirmed that the apartment WAS moving!    it was so clear that we needed to leave, so i ran for ai and woke her up to leave ASAP.  i told her of the seriousness, and that i was leaving.  i left hoping she would follow but not having time to check.  i ran outside and turned around (i found myself on the other side of the building somehow), and i saw the 2 story part of the building breaking off the neighboring one story part.  it was sliding on the mud hill from earlier rain.  i watched the apartment building slide and stop, people were jumping out of it.  then it tipped over and fell to the back.  people were screaming as they jumped.  i remember people hanging out of it too.  like must have been about 100 people there or more.  i remember a family of sikhs also.  odd.  i never found out if ai was ok, but i was running towards the building as i awoke.

[Moonbeam]

one trick they did they called "perverse" which was "PERfect + reVERSE".  their dad didn't like the name of the game (which they came up with), and he didn't want to see the game, nor acknowledge that the name was created in total innocence.

"Perverse" - that's funny.  That whole dream seemed to mean something; it probably makes sense to you based on relationships and stuff.

as i came out of this dream, i heard a news broadcast on my alarm radio as i awoke and hovered in the dream state... in my mind wanted to "rethread the wire" to the radio station on the top of the building so that i could help "release" it and hear hillary clinton battle her opponents.  strange!!!

That's weird.  So strange the things the mind will put into the dream to "explain" things.

Ha, we were commenting recently on the number of "chair-riding" dreams people have had, like in rolling chairs, and one of them was a chair-riding race.  I had one where other people were doing it outside in a parking lot. 

TREES

Seems like a lot of times in dreams the person I need to say something to will just suddenly be "there", then not.  I know what you mean about talking to "someone".

Have you ever tried that in a lucid?  It's crazy--if you can't see anyone, or everything is black, just call out and see if anyone is there.  A lot of times someone will answer, and you can have a conversation with them.

HORSE INCIDENT

As a horse-girl, I just HAVE to comment on this dream

ai and i were in NYC and sitting on top of something (car? truck? animal?) and she was to my right side.  we arrived from somewhere, and thinking of entering a race.  to my left a large horse arrives (assumingly pulling something) and i was at the same height as his face.    i was pretty stunned / surprised to see a horse face this close.  i remember its eyes and mouth, teeth, and breath.  also the presence of it was pushing us over and i felt we may get crushed.  i actually imagined this in a way... visualizing this crushing and told ai of it so she understood why i was so crazy about this horse.  i looked down to see the owner standing at ground level and told him to move the horse.  he was very "understanding", but not very accomodating.  he told me everything will be ok, and just to relax... just tolerate the differences.  i told him he was crazy, but i didn't move either (stupidly).

I think horses can be very intimidating for people who are not used to handling/riding them.

after we left the horse (don't know how / why we left) ai and i were in central park and i looked at my sweater i was wearing, and it had chew marks from the horse on it (on the left side bottom of the sweater).     the sweater was a blueish green.  i remember pulling on it and feeling the marks, and pushing a finger through the hole that the horse put in there.  i told ai... "see???" or something similar.  we were walking around now and it was a cold day in the city.  afterwards, we tried to go to a restaurant and the person at the front door wouldn't let us in, since he said i smelled like horse!   >:(

LOL, a horse ate your sweater

i never had a feeling to do any reality check.  i never noticed it was a dream.  i woke up without any dream recall... and then in the shower after going through random nouns for about 10 minutes (literally!)... i said "horse!!!".   

That's great, you remembered this whole dream after going through a bunch of random nouns? Excellent! I should remember this technique next time I think I have no recall.

yes.  exactly!  i think i forgot some of my fun / playful side early this year with all that is going on with being a new homeowner.  usually in my LDs i find myself in the new house and searching, or something...

i love these type of action dreams which occur so often for me.  in another one, i had to run away from a lightning storm in an open baseball field, so i really was hauling-ass... and then i felt as though i could go faster if i planted both hands and pivoted at my shoulders swinging my whole body from that point, like some ultra-fast gorilla!  i really need to try that when i am lucid!  ever do stuff like this?

amazing how squirrels CLIMB trees IRL, but mine want to JUMP like on a trampoline to kill me!

yeah, i really don't see horses that often, and never that close.  only once in my life that close, and the shear magnitude of the animal was well... yes... intimidating.  i remember trying to RIDE it, and i was very insecure about my ability to control direction and speed.

FEMALE FRIEND FRAGMENTS
me and aya are getting married (??) and i remember waiting for her on the couch.  she gets home and plays with me, punching my gut.  interesting and fun.  no mimmicking was done from my actual marriage with ai.  aya enjoyed punching me.

in another dream i was taking a shower, and i heard ami in the next room.  we just discussed something with mai (a sort of ribbing session?).  two girls battling.  i remember looking intently at mai's chest  and remember answering something....  i got into the shower or out of shower and said how impressed i was with ami's responses (to mai).  i called her "velveteen", somehow meaning, "not a real teen" and pulled the towel which was around my waist to over my head and rubbed my face dry.  in real life, i pulled my blanket over my head and tried to dry my head!     i then awoke.

BAR FRIENDS AND FLIRTING GIRL
was in club / bar.  dark.  loud music.  all the people knew me.  but my group was about 8 people i supposedly was with.  i was a "regular" but really i felt i didn't know anyone specifically (or didn't have a history), just pretended to, kind of... like it was my belief only that we knew each other which made us act this way, which then felt like we knew each other and had a common group of friends with history... but at times i didn't play the game exactly right and i messed up the history.     for instance, in a conversation, i asked about some guy (jose?) in our friend-circle who wasn't present at the time and my DCs seemed to inform me that he left abbrubtly, that he wouldn't be back and no one knew where or why exactly.  all this, my DCs told me that i should have known already since i was "there" for that situation... but of course i didn't remember.

at one point towards the end of the dream for me, we were all just groovin' to the music and enjoying dancing.  one girl with dark long curly hair, wearing only a pair of panties with a cut off shirt... i did some serious foreplay with.  i lifted her up with my hands, and massaged the side of her hips and waist and got a great reaction.  i remember saying "this is like..." or something similar and not finishing a sentence while she was up in the air, and she called me on it.     i remember not actually finishing the sentence but thinking only about the finish and pausing and smiling up at her looking down.  i think i was going to reference a previous memory to her (of her?), but was insecure if she would remember it or even recognize the reference.  perhaps i hesitated because of the dream-memory confusion i had with other DCs in the scene.

SHOPLIFTING AT EZ-MART
i parked my car outside a shell gas station convenience store and walked inside.  i was looking for some beer and asked one attendant if they have any of a certain brand.  they didn't so i had to buy some beer i didn't want exactly.  i got 2 six-packs in my hands and maybe something else... don't remember exactly.  the store was so crowded at the register, so i was wandering around and happened to leave the store with the items in my hands.  i thought, "hmmmm, maybe i should just go now, so that the attendants don't notice."  i was looking for my car and couldn't find it.  somehow it was in the garage portion of the station.  the garage door was now closed and so i couldn't get in.  the attendant saw me and came to open the door (somehow he didn't notice or care i had the beer still).  i got into my car (after some minor annoyances) and i think i left.

SEINFELD'S SIS
seinfeld's sister at one of our bar/hangouts looking at me and giving me attention from behind.  i ignored her, not knowing her importance, and talked to some other girl.  once seinfeld's sister left, the girl i was talking to mentioned that i was stupid for not talking to her and told me who she was.  i felt stupid.

SEX
i was ready to orgasm.  ai was naked and laying on the bed and we were talking about having a child.  i asked her if this was the time but she seemed not so interested as she wasn't excited about it and not exactly “ready”.  i ended up finishing, but not with her.  oddly, i remember no excitement in this dream.

ORDER FOOD
at a diner with dad, mom, ai, aoi and others.  the waitress came over to my right (my perception was more 3rd party, watching me do things... odd) and asked for our order.  i told her i will help orchestrate it.  i asked each person at our table if they wanted fries, and then told her the amount of orders of fries.  then the same for hamburger, etc.  it was probably more confusing for her, but i wanted to help!!! 

PARKED CAR INCIDENT (lucid moments) 
parked at a seafood restaurant with a dirt parking lot.  after some time i walked back outside and noticed that a black pickup truck parked next to me so tight blocking my driver's side door.  when i saw this i sooo momentarily became lucid (it was crazy how close the truck was, and it was an RC in some way), declared that this was a dream and started coming out of the dream into my sleeping body.  i concentrated on the dream and on what i wanted to do.  it helped me get back into the dream, but when i did, i forgot i was lucid, and forgot it was a dream.  i "willed" the police to come (called them?) pick up the pickup.  i went back inside the building which i think was now my home (i think??).  suddenly i noticed the pickup was being towed and i heard yelling, a man (who owned the truck) came directly at me, yelling at me right in my face.  i was laughing at him.  he pulled a gun out and pointed it at my head / face.  i suddenly knew this was a dream again, and waved my hand across him and i felt him disappear and the dream end.

COWORKER BATTLE
two coworkers were chatting.  one showed the other a chart showing that his importance on the chart was increasing and overshadowing the other's.  it was funny to me.  i remember thinking, hmmmm... he won.

SPYING
i was sitting outside a coworker's office and ai was at desk in another room.  i put my speaker phone on and could hear the convo that the coworker was having with his workers in his office.  i was spying on them, and could feel very special about it.  his door was closed.  i could hear that he was being very ruthless to one specific worker, making her feel awful about her performance.  i felt he noticed that i was spying, so i shut off the phone quickly.  his door remained closed and i walked in to talk to ai to discuss.

WEEKEND AT WORK (lucid moments)
leaving work at night with two coworkers.  it was during the weekend, and i feel i was working at my old position for some reason.  one of them asked me to come over to his car, calling me away from the other and i walked over.  it was a black sporty car with a lot of windows.  it was easy to see inside and i noticed he had grapes in the car.  he mentioned to me that he had bad news and asked if i could help him.  i asked him if he did his job poorly.  he told me that he lost all of his work for the past week!  i asked him if he had to leave or if he could just stay to work more to fix it.  he said he couldn't, and i told him he was screwed and that i wouldn't want to be him when he tells his boss about it!  at the last moment, he closed his hatchback, and i think it was almost on my hand.  i pulled it away and i was going to wake up, and i said "hey this is a dream!"  i tried to poke my hand with my finger and it went through... but the dream was fading and hazy also at this point... so i awoke.

STAINS ON CEILING
i remember looking at the ceiling tile in my basement and seeing a brown watermark stain on the ceiling near the wall opposite the couch.  i remember saying "oh no, not more!".  recently IRL i noticed on small stain on this ceiling which i never noticed when buying the house.  obviously, i was being paranoid about it afterwards.

Wow your journal moves fast!  I need to make a lucid dream journal, but I'm having trouble even getting my DV journal backed up onto my computer.   Why oh why didn't I do that from the beginning.

Having a house is a worry; I can see why you are dreaming about it.  I have "weird dwelling" dreams constantly.  That's how I first got into this dreaming stuff; I constantly dreamed about living in an old run-down house, so I was trying to find the meaning of that dream.

MUSIC AT WORK
i came back to somewhere... and XTC was playing on the CD player... the song "senses working overtime".  jun saw the cover of the CD (red with shimmering gold outlines) and showed me.  he said, "did you know it looks like a naked woman?" and gave me a pencil sketch of it that he did.  i think ryo was there also.

MARKET TRANNY
i was working at a dvd rental shop and market.  several other ppl were there, my coworkers.  we had to all wear the same blue uniform.  i was flirting with a woman who worked there also, and my coworker saw that this woman had a bulge in her pants and it was growing more every second.  i started to feel very uncomfortable and was trying to see what was happening.  mid-day i called someone on my cell outside the building to talk about what to do.  when i was in the locker room after work, she / he came in (he had a beard now and was purely not woman) and asked me on a date.  i told him, "i will see you wednesday at work, ok?" and that was it.  

FRAGMENT
surreal place... i was hiding in room waiting for someone to arrive.  was it supposed to be ai?  i lost this person back somewhere on the walk.  in a different aisle or department.  alleyways, houses, bridges.  cool "game"... feeling.  i remember a waiter asking us for our order?

FUTURE WORK
ai and i were walking down a futuristic place which was like a future city / compound for the place where i work.  everything was in japanese.  as we walked by a room (hanging curtain / cloth over the door), i remarked that was my student's room.  then after a right, then during the zig-zag (left - right) we met a coworker and got into a convo with him.  we discused how he used to be a woman (not IRL!).  ai and i both agreed that he was both of our favorites.  whatever that meant.  it was a very heartwarming feeling. 

i then found myself in my office but everything was futuristic.  a coworker's desk was to my left and another's to my right.  the boss was in the office along with someone else.  he said "where is that guy!?"  i told him "do you want me to get him?"  as i said this, a grizzly man went to go get him.  as he did this, the coworker walked in and i just was then "working" for a while, kinda.
