Question about visualization during WILDing
«
on:
January 09, 2009, 10:12:49 AM »
Last night I was trying to visualize my hand during a
WILD
attempt, and I noticed that my eyes were moving as I traced up and down where each finger should be. That made me wonder if most people move their eyes when they are visualizing, and if that helps or not. I realize that after you get into the dream that your eyes will be moving, but I want to know if people do it on purpose when they first start the
WILD
visualization attempt.
So, keep the eyes still and just try to imagine the thing, or move your eyes around what you think the shape of the thing should be?

I try to get my entire dream body involved when attempting to produce an image stream or
WILD
by visualizing, so tend to do more imagining or feeling that actually visualizing. One visualization or imagination I have been using lately is to imagine myself riding a roller coast.
I feel the roller coaster taking me up real high, slowly pulling me all the way to the top, then going over the top and going straight down real fast, then back up again, and then down again, over and over.
At first it was a bit difficult to feel, but after a bit of practice I can really feel my dream body going up and down with that roller coaster, and it quite often takes me right into a
WILD
, although in the
WILD
I am somewhere different.

Yes when I use pj's movement-
WILD
technique, that's what I do too. For some reason that's hard for me to start with, so I start with the visualizing thing, and if I'm lucky and don't fall asleep, I can go to the movement imagining.
I like the roller coaster idea, thanks. That's similar to flying, but the variation of up and down might help keep your mind on it and more conscious.
I think if I can get to the point where I am actually feeling the movement, I'm pretty much there, if I don't mess it up at that point.
But what about the eye-moving thing; have you ever noticed if your eyes are moving when you do your image streaming stuff?
Sometimes even if my eyes are closed, I can feel like I am closing them again, maybe a couple times, and each time it's like it's darker and I can start to visualize things better.

Never noticed my eyes at all, as I usually feel like I am a spirit form without a body when I am in an image stream or
WILD
.
