Call me stubborn, but this still counts as a fragment in my book. It was something close to a lucid though, the closest proximity I've been. It also has a slight sexual nature to it, which embarrassed me so that I almost didn't post it. But then I considered who would actually read it, and from those who I'd be embarrassed telling most anything, and decided to hell with it.

The earliest I remember of the dream (and likely where it began, actually) was in a video game store. It looked like a gamestop to me, but I didn't see any logos. I was with someone... I don't know who they were. It was some guy. I didn't get a good look at his face, and he didn't have any sort of identity. In fact, part of the reason I call this a fragment is because visually it was very lacking.

I remember, though, he was explaining something about a prank. In the dream, this brought to mind a memory that my brother was going to pull a funny prank on his friend. That was the extent I thought about it, but in the interest of the readers, I'll explain the prank. My brother's friend loves the super hero the Flash, and so his girlfriend got him a belt buckle with the Flash on it. Apparently, he wears it all the time. My brother managed to steal it while he was on the toilet, and his friend thinks he has lost it now (even explaining to his girlfriend how sorry he was). My brother intends to put it in a plate of jello, and have his friend discover it in his locker on Monday (hilarious! and yes, he watches the Office).

Anyway, the extent that I thought of it was "my brother is pulling a prank, this must be why he is explaining a prank". This may have clued me in that it was a dream, at least, I was beginning to think it was, but was still observing letting it play out. Random guy said this was the first stage of the prank. He didn't say all this so much as, I understood it, for then he poured a bunch of games onto the counter. I could see this much fairly clearly, even looking at the games which had images and titles I didn't recognize and probably don't exist. Like I said, he didn't actually say this, but I knew that this meant he was gathering money for whatever the next part of the prank was.

Somewhere around here I notice the girl behind the counter. I can see her much clearly than I could have seen the guy, I remember she was brunette and had this odd hair style about her, and she wore glasses, but thats all. At this point I am criticizing random guy for his prank idea, before he even explains it. This is very like me, and came almost automatically. I make a joke as to how the first stage seems to be a scheme to gather money for the prank, when really you have to sacrifice some of your belongings, and I actually hear myself say "Oh ok, well the first stage of the prank is to prostitute myself for money". The girl behind the counter seems to find this funny  Roll Eyes and I'm not entirely sure if I was saying it to flirt with her, but apparently it was working. I guess random guy took offense to this because he was no longer in the dream from this point.

There is a lapse here, either nothing occurred or I forgot it, which is kind of frustrating to me. It may have been as simple as successful flirtation translating to a sexual endeavor (which, is a big reason I count this as an almost lucid, because I did not consciously act from after this lapse). All I remember next is kissing her. It was very strange, because, my lips were dry and I could sort of feel that my actual body's lips were dry as well. At this point, because I recognized the correlation between my dream body and my real body, I was certain I was dreaming and that I was in a dream. But I could feel it escaping as well. It was possible my actual lips were moving, although I can't be sure. It was strange because in the dream I was standing, but I knew that my real body was laying on its side.

It may have been this expectation that did it, but I remember looking to her and visually, it had corrupted. I would say almost polygon-like (ironic, since the dream takes place in a video game store). I was aroused, and could tell I was in real body as well. My eyes had closed, and for some reason her chair had dropped, like certain chairs do when you pull the lever beneath them, only this one dropped low enough to be inside of the ground. I attribute this to the dream fleeting as well. I felt that I was on the ground, or on top of her and since my eyes were closed, I attempted to open them. I was kind of annoyed with the subject of the dream, and also that I had actually recognized it was a dream and it was going away. When I opened my eyes, it was my real eyes that opened.

I ended up trying to go back to sleep, I figured maybe the sleep cycle I was in would have been easy to get lucid in, but I couldn't manage it. Eventually, I decided to get out of bed and record this dream.

Potential causes:

As made obvious before, the prank angle of this was likely influenced by my brother doing a prank irl. I can see no other reason I'd dream about a prank.

The game store and the games poured on the shelf likely resulting from a friend showing me a video game blog he started yesterday. In it, he talks about games he wants and is anticipating, even saying one of them was a "first day buy".

I also had a discussion with a friend the night prior about sex, mainly about my virginity and how it influences my sexual confidence. This may have been responsible for the sexuality of the dream.
