Zombies in the Dark
I am in a strange place… it is totally dark, or almost totally dark.  I wait for a couple minutes and my eyes seem to adjust to the lack of light.  I am in what looks like an underground sewer system.  There is a small amount of water sitting in the bottom of the passage.  I look around and I see I am not alone there.  MoSh is there with me.  I wonder if I have managed to end up in a Dark Tower dream as well.  I see a small animal pass through a cross passage up ahead.  I recognize the animal as a billy-bumbler, an animal from the Dark Tower world.

Shortly after the billy-bumbler passes I see a man pass, and I recognize Roland.  It seems I have ended up just where I wanted to be for a change!  I tell MoSh we should catch up with Roland and see if there's anything he needs help with.  Before we can act on that, however, there is a slumped figure slinking after Roland.  Then another one.  The figures are vaguely humanoid, though they seem as comfortable on all fours as they would be on two legs, maybe more so.  A third one comes to the intersection and looks towards us.  The eyes are glowing gold in the darkness, and the thing hisses menacingly.

It has sharp teeth that look more appropriate to a shark than a person.  It charges at MoSh and me, hissing and snarling.  When it jumps to attack us I make sure it lands on my hidden blade.  It keeps pushing towards me for a bit longer, snarling and hissing and spitting gross stuff all over me before it dies.  It looks and smells like a zombie.  I tell MoSh we should get the other two before they try to sneak up on Roland.  I don't know what the odds of sneaking up on Roland really are, but I don't like the idea of firing a gun down there… the walls look ready to collapse at the least disturbance.  MoSh agrees and we hurry on to follow the two that went after Roland.  By the time we catch up I see that Roland has killed one of them with his knife and is facing off against the second.  Apparently they failed to sneak up on him.  Oy is hiding behind Roland.  MoSh comes up behind the second one and takes it out with what looks like a large knife.  Roland asks who is there.  I answer and tell him it's Raven and MoSh.  Roland says he could sense someone there but couldn't see who it is.  I tell him there are some mutants creeping in the sewers with us, but we should keep going to find Jake, MoSh and I would help keep the creatures off of Roland and Oy.  As we travel, Roland confirms the part of the book we are in, but is then interrupted by some bad singing… followed by even worse singing… Roland says that was Jake.  I hear something moving in a passage to the right and I turn just in time to meet a mutant attacking me with a hidden blade to the neck.  Roland asks if I can actually see them.  I tell him I have good night vision… at least in dreams I do.  I hear MoSh fighting one in the other direction, he returns soon.  He says they are mean.  I ask if he got bitten, for some reason I think it would be bad to get bitten.  He says no.  Oy is getting impatient.  It seems like we have been going in the dark for a long time when there starts to be a bit of light.  Oy indicates we have to go down to a lower level.  We descend a ladder into a long hallway that ends with a door like might be found on a ship.  I remember that Jake is just on the other side of the door.  Roland tries the valve, but it is tight.  He looks around and spots a vent shaft, then tells Oy to go and look and come back.  The billy-bumbler seems glad to cooperate and hurries into the vent when Roland boosts him up to it.  I wonder if any of the mutants will come this far into the light.  I never get to find out because I wake.

For the Love of Alex
I am lying on my own bed, feeling particularly lonely.  I am not lucid to begin with, so I just lie there wondering if there is anyone out in the world who would be a match for me.  I am thinking there is not.  I finally get up and leave my room to find my mother using an elliptical exercise machine in the living room.  The living room is much larger than it is in my waking life, and there are so many exercise machines that I can't even see the furniture.  My mom says if we are to watch tv we will be exercising.  I think this is odd.  I finally do a RC by pinching my nose.  I can still breathe.  I am dreaming!  I go outside and look around, trying to think of what I want to do.  I think I could complete a task… either a task of the month or of the year.  Since I was feeling lonely I decide on a task of the month… get a cupid to make a celebrity fall in love with me.  And I know just the celebrity.  Now to find him…  I fly towards town where there are more people, so there is a better chance of finding who I am looking for.

I soon spot him.  Alex O'Laughlin.  He looks like he did in the series Moonlight.  Now for a cupid… I focus on summoning one.  A cherub appears, hovering in front of me with a bow and arrow ready.

The arrow has a heart on the end of it.  The cherub is actually a bit cranky, and impatiently asks who it is I want to fall in love with me.  I point at Alex O'Laughlin.  The cherub laughs and says me and every other woman… but I got to him first.  He fires his arrow at Alex.  The arrow hits Alex in the left shoulder blade and then fades to nothing.  Alex looks over at me, I notice the cherub has already disappeared.  Alex stares at me for a bit and then comes right over to me and kisses me square on the lips.  It is a warm and passionate kiss.  Beth, the reporter who falls in love with Mick St. John, is staring, incredulous like she can't believe her eyes.  I kiss him back, and we are kissing for a good length of time before I get too excited at what could happen and I wake up.

Human Vampire
I am flying over the Nile river in Egypt, looking down at the green foliage and sandy beaches.  I make note of the fact this is the first time for quite a while that I have been able to enter a dream through this method.  I fly off over the desert towards the pyramids.  I realize there are people following me on the ground.  I identify them as Templars.  I don't really want to deal with Templars right now.  I remember a task of the month for DV, however, is simply to give a flower to the next DC I see.  I fly back to the banks of the Nile and look for a flower.  I find a pretty one and I pick it before flying back to where I spotted the Templars.

I scan them from above and select one that looks kind of hot.  They are approaching me, but I ignore most of them and land directly in front of the one Templar I have chosen.  All of the Templars surround me, there are about ten of them, but I am focused on the one.  I walk over to him and tell him that this is all a bit awkward… but I think he's hot.  I hand him the flower with a smile.  He just looks confused.  Another Templar grabs the flower away, throws it on the ground, and stomps on it a few times.  He says it was probably poisoned.  I tell him he's just jealous because he didn't get one.  I figure I have completed the task, so I focus on opening a portal to somewhere I need to be.  A portal opens, and I go through it before the Templars can interfere.  I close it immediately behind me.  I find I am now on a dark street.  There are several people there.  They are in a fight.  One of them looks like Alex O'Laughlin.  He's so hot.

There are two other guys there fighting him, and they seem to be kicking his ass.  I think that is strange since he looks like he did when he was a vampire in Moonlight, he should be kicking ass.  Mick's ex-wife, Coraline, is also there.  I wonder if this is the brief period where Mick was human but got in a fight with a couple of vampires.  Coraline says she will give them what they want if they just leave Mick alone.  Mick has just gotten thrown up against a dumpster, so I get between him and the vampire thugs and tell Coraline not to give them anything, I have a different deal for them… leave Mick alone and I leave them in one piece.  One of them, a vampire that has one solid black eye, sniffs the air and tells me to stay out of what I don't understand.  I tell them not to underestimate what they don't understand.  The vampire says he's a little hungry anyway and grabs me like he thinks it will be easy.  I twist his arm around and kick him away from me, which clearly takes him by surprise.  I tell them it is their last chance.  The vampire with one eye says to kill the fucking bitch.  They both come at me.  I form Witchblade into a sword and remove both of their heads, both heads have a permanent look of shock on them.  Coraline asks how I did that, how could any human do that.  I go over to Mick and focus some healing energy into him.  I remember he will be a vampire again before too long, but for now he needs healing.  I am gazing into Mick St. John's eyes when I wake up.

Vampire Hunt
I am out in the city at night, wandering the streets with no particular destination in mind.  I am dressed like a total slut, but I am not looking for sex.  I am a vampire, and I am looking for prey.  I don't really want to feed on the innocent, so I have decided to wander around at night in a bad area of town and wait for some asshole to try to have his way with me.  I wander around for a while and finally I meet up with a candidate.  A thug comes out of the shadows and asks how much.  I figure he thinks I'm a hooker and I tell him I'm not for sale.  He laughs and says I had better be for sale or I wouldn't be dressed like a whore.  I tell him to get lost.  He says if he can't buy what he wants, he'll just take it.  I tell him he doesn't have what it takes.  He grabs my shoulders and pushes me up against a wall rather hard.  He is right in front of me, his breath smells of alcohol and stale cigarette smoke.  He forces a kiss on me.  He says if I just relax and take it I'll live through this.  I turn us around and pin him against the wall, he seems intrigued at the idea I like it rough.  I tell him I can't make the same promise that he'll live through this.  As a vampire, I feed on the would-be rapist.  The blood tastes like warm tomato soup?  I don't notice that in the dream.  As I am finishing, someone sees me and calls out for the authorities.  There are cops coming, so I take off and head through the dark streets.  I can hear them behind me, I go into a sewer entrance underneath a road.  I head into the darkness, taking one last look behind me to make sure no one saw where I just went.  There's no way they'll ever find me down here.

<Meet Hades and Chaos>
Clarity: 9/10
I see Voldemort, from the Harry Potter movies. He looks different though: his face is a bit green, and almost like it is decomposing, since it has 'flaws' on its skin. He wears pit black, flowing ragged robes, and a sense of evil just emanates from him. His eyes illustrate that, glowing in the most menacing form of pure red. He grabs me. I try to set myself free, but I'm unable to, he's too powerful. I just give up then, and feel the evil that comes off of him in waves.

Suddenly I know he is also a vampire. Moving pictures start to pass before my eyes, as if I was seeing that on television. The voice of a narrator described how promising young author Anita, whose latests books on vampire romances had made her famous, died tragically at the hands of a vampire. As the narrator speaks, the image of a young woman with raven black hair appears as if seen through a tv screen. A pale young man with light, orange-like hair then appears from behind her. Although their expressions are pleased at first, the face of the man soon changes to an expression of bestiality, with mouth wide open and sharp, deadly fangs visible.  He grabs her from behind and sinks his mouth into her neck, causing a look of shock to show from her previously serene face. Her expression reminds me somewhat that illustrated on the painting named "The Scream". Voldemort's face also appears a bit like this, but only in what refers to the cadaver like aspect he presents - his expression shows nothing of the fear represented on the painting, only pure, unhindered evil, perfectly visible in his glowing red eyes.

Since he's still grabbing me from behind, I suddenly worry if he's planning on biting my neck and kill me too.

Without knowing how, I'm watching him now from a few feet away. I appear to be free of his grasp. The thought comes to mind that that evil being is also the lord of the Underworld. Surprised with my own thoughts, the voice of reason corrects me. No, he's not the lord of the Underworld. He's only Voldemort. The lord of the Underworld would be Hades.

As if on cue, I'm in a slightly different set. The empty white canvas where the action was progressing gave room to a underground cave, bearing tones of dark earth browns. Voldemort is also nowhere to be seen, but that doesn't linger in my mind anymore, for looking around I see many awkward, bizarre things. One of which is a huge mouth, bigger than me, with bright red lips and sharp, pointy teeth, that floats right in front of me. That's Hades, and I also sense that he's evil. But no, Hades is not evil. In the mythology he doesn't appear as such, being instead a very neutral god. And neutral is not evil. As I think this, the fear from the strange floating mouth diminishes, although I'm still feeling a bit apprehensive. I approach.

I see my dad arriving from an entrance to the cave that I hadn't seen before. With him, he brings dangling from his hand a small plastic bucket filled with organic strawberries. Approaching the big mouth, he gets in one knee to get level with it, and gives it to taste strawberries. I approach in awe of the scene I see before my eyes. My father puts one strawberry at a time in the big mouth, and the last one chews them with those pointy teeth, getting all smeared in red paste from the crushed fruits. It is then that I notice that on the other side, the mouth is attached to a small tupperware, where the chewed strawberries that managed to pass through the mouth fall. I reckon the amount of red paste smearing the mouth and the amount gathered inside the tupperware is roughly the same though. It is not a very efficient way of eating.

I'm now in other point of the same cave. I'm putting peanuts inside a long bread, for the mouth to eat them next. Hades is both the mouth and the bread, and in this way he can assimilate the peanuts. By eating the bread, that is him, with the peanuts inside, the essence of the peanuts is eaten mixed with his own essence (in the form of bread), and his essence that is in the form of a floating mouth assimilates all this, so that all parts of him are again assimilated into one, with now the essence of the new food consumed. It's a strange way of eating, but I can see the logic in its working.

I'm given now a mission: to go in search of the egyptian soul eater goddess, the one with the head of a crocodile and body of an hippopotamus. For that, I head toward the back of the cavern, where the ground is made of desert sand that accumulates in several dunes dispersed around. This is the Chaos. I know that dangerous creatures dwell in here, but I must go in search of the soul eater.

As I advance through the sand, I see several strange creatures, many of them passing by me just out of the corner of my eye. I see several smaller floating mouths, similar to the first one but lacking its strange feeling of power and intelligence. I also see a great amount of egyptian scarabs, passing by me all at once as if in a great colony that runs across the sand with some destination in mind. I see indistinctly some other strange creatures afar, that seem to have been mounted from several pieces of different animals. I think I distinctly saw a being with a kangaroo head far ahead, but alas, it's gone.

Eventually, I see a large circle of people gathering around something. I see my father somewhere in the circle too. I walk around the outside of the circle until I reach the other side, that seems to have people less tightly grouped. From there, I stand on my toes and try to see what is it that is on the middle of the circle. Just as I had hoped, from the gap between two people I see a strange creature, size of a dog and head of a crocodile - I found the soul eater.

I'm now once again near the front of the cave. The big floating mouth is still there. The thought occurs to me, that Hades can assume any form since he's a god, right? As I think this, he transforms into something else. If he can take any form he pleases, why not a human form? And as this thought passes through my head, Hades takes upon a human form. The form he takes is that of a tall young man, with jet black hair and mocking but good-humoured smirk on his face. As soon as he appears, he vanishes again. He has probably went to take care of his matters.

I now find myself on the opposite side of the cave. Here, I see someone leaning on a stalagmite next to me, and a blond girl that has her back turned towards us, turned with her front against the wall of the cave as if doing something that she wants to hide. For some reason, I think they are servants. She is fumbling with something in her hands, and mumbling something about him never knowing. She's plotting something. I don't know if me, if the person next to me, says to her: "it won't work. He'll know. He knows everything that happens in here. " The tone in which this was spoken implied that he knew the very thoughts of everyone here. I see that this is right, for as the lord of the underworld, he must be omniscient of everything that happens in his domains. The blond girl turns to us with an acid look on her face, and spits venomously to me: "as he knows that you like him?". I'm taken by surprise by her statement. Do I like him? Maybe I do. I get horrified when I realize what the angry girl was implying. What if he knows? I get unjustifiably afraid that he finds out, although some part of my mind wants him to discover, and some other part gives the girl reason and that he must certainly must already know, even before I did.

I'm now in the mall with the blond girl, who is now my best friend. She is looking for some specific sweater, but none of the stores we've seen so far have it. She is extremely excited for being here, as she loves shopping. I smile at her excitement, for I'm only here for her, as I don't like shopping and already find myself terribly bored. I think something about us leaving the Underworld to be here, and if Hades knows where we are. We should get back soon though.

As we enter yet another shop in the mall, my friend goes towards the person on the counter and asks for her sweater, as I wait for her near the entrance. This is the fourth shop we enter looking for it, so I'm starting to doubt they have what she wants on this mall. At the counter, they show her one sweater with the diamond patterns she wanted. Unfortunately, it is not yet this time we find the sweater, for this one has orange and not the colours she wants. Out of the blue, Hades appears in his human form right next to the counter, still with that amused, 'I can do as I please', smirk. He points a finger towards the counter, and a sweater instantly materializes on it. My friend gets all excited, literally jumping up and down with joy, as this is the sweater she had been looking for, with the diamond patterns in colours of purple and blue. I smile at her excitement over a sweater, though happy she found what she wanted. Hades looks at me and winks playfully, and I wander 'does he know?'.

I'm now back at other place entirely. It is also dark, so I believe I'm back at some part of the cavern. I have a set of keys in my hand, and I'm all excited, as someone just offered me a bright dark green volvo as a gift. I love it, and I'm extremely happy. I enter in the back, with my friend following and sharing my excitement. Hades also enters in the car, and once again, I wonder if he knows. I think he does.

Origin of this dream: trailer of the new Harry Potter movie, and a cool documentary on the afterlife journey to the ancient egyptians, in which they had to fight their way through Chaos and, if not worthy, their soul would be eaten by the demon Ammit, the Destroyer, who had the head of a crocodile, the shoulders of a lion and the rump of a hippopotamus. A very cool documentary indeed! For those interested, can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrvzYP0vvsA&feature=related

And here's the soul eater, Ammit, on the middle with the crocodile head:

RL related coincidences: that morning, on the random picture of the day that appears on my desktop, the image was the neutral image of Death.

I absolutely adored seeing strange things in this dream, and specially the floating mouths. This kind of bizarre, imaginative dreams are my favourites  Grin

I think for some reason Nomad wanted to fight the Crystal Golem… whatever. I stayed with Spike and contributed my healing energy to his recovery.

I stayed by Spike's side for a while, I had the idea I was going to wake up.  Well, this time would no doubt mean I was waking up for real since I have never succeeded in doing two time dilations in one dream before.  But hell, there was nothing to lose by trying it again… I wondered exactly how long I could spend in just one dream doing time dilations over and over before I reached the limits of the laws of physics and could go no farther… I wondered if there was a limit other than my own abilities… would trying to dilate time too much create problems?  So I focused on using Allura's method of time dilation again.  That wasn't working… if anything it seemed to be causing the dream to go more unstable, which was the same thing that had happened last time I had tried to dilate time for a second time in a single dream.

Ok, I would give it one more shot… I put my right hand on the ground and tried to focus on it… my hand looked blurry, I wasn't able to focus on that… so I turned and focused on Spike… he was part of the dream… I could see the rest of the dreamscape… ok, that part was good.  Now what, count?  Yeah, the next part was to count and focus on each count extending time, I wasn't sure if I would get that right or not, and focusing on everything at once was getting a bit disorienting, which was making the dream slip more.  I forced myself to resume my focus, then count, 1… 2… 3… 4… 5… Spike, the healing glen, this minute in waking life stretching out to allow for more minutes of dream to fit into it… 6… 7… 8… 9… 10.  I was still crouched on the ground, I could vaguely sense my physical body in bed as I tried to hold onto the dream.  I stood up in the glen, trying to get my dream body in a position as different from my physical body as possible… I didn't want to sense my physical body… I heard a voice, please tell me it isn't a waking voice… that some asshole was about to wake me up…

But it was the Crystal Golem, he was coming back to check on Spike, he asked if I was ok, he said I didn't look well.  My attention was redirected at the Crystal Golem, and the dream stabilized as I was distracted from the sensation of my physical body.  I wasn't sure if that counted as successfully using Walms' method of time dilation or not, since I had been sure I was about to lose the dream until the Crystal Golem had directed my attention back into it…  The Crystal Golem was saying Spike would be fine now, but he could not truly be safe until we went back and defeated the Vampire King once and for all.  The Vampire King?  He had called himself Death… but I really didn't care what the asshole called himself, he would not be going after Spike again.  Nomad was with the Crystal Golem, he said he was ready to kick some ass.  Our Spike said he would teach that bastard what he could really do.  Pablo seemed somewhat hesitant to come, I don't think he liked the idea of fighting Death (which was still how I was thinking of him) again.  So this time the Crystal Golem opened a portal and those of us who wanted to fight went through…

On the other side we were in the desert again, I looked around to see who was with us, I saw Nomad, Altaïr, Spike, and Angel with me… where had MoSh gone?  Had he woken up?  As if reading what I was thinking and knowing who I was looking for, Nomad said MoSh had woken up while we were back in the glen.  Damn… that was one fewer people to fight this Vampire King who calls himself Death…  I noticed that the midday sun was shining brightly on the land, making everything almost blindingly bright, would that have any effect on Death?  If he was actually a vampire, it seemed like it would… but I realized it didn't when the ground shook and he came flying out of it like a bullet, landing on the sand in front of us looking as evil as ever, he was laughing at how we were looking at him, he said of course the sun didn't hurt him, he was Death… the king of the vampires.  I said I wasn't amazed that the sun didn't hurt him… what I was amazed at was that I had just discovered a life form that can exist and function without the presence of a brain!  That clearly pissed him off a bit, and now more bats poured out of the darkness below and flew right into Death, into his cloak, becoming part of him… there was no doubt about it, this guy was made of bats!  As the bats continued to add themselves to him, his power level was increasing and he was also physically growing until he was about 20 feet tall, blood dripping from his fangs, eyes glowing red… um… I wondered if he had actually put any effort into his powers or if he just wanted to look scary.

So the fight started.  He unleashed hoards of the bats now, from inside his cloak, they were all glowing with dark energy auras, and those auras made me think of something… Walms might want to kick this guy's ass!  So I telepathically tried to contact Walms, I was hoping it wouldn't wake him up as my telepathy has done in the past, I was trying to be careful with it…  As I was focusing on contacting Walms, the enemy had grown to about double his original size… more bats had been flooding from the ground and adding themselves to his mass, so now he was about 40 feet tall…  I felt a contact of some kind, had I gotten through to Walms?  Hopefully I had… I told him that there was an epic fight just starting where I was, so if he wanted in on it, get out here, and there was some yummy dark energy in it for him… the response I felt I was getting was confusion, and a response sounding like, "Who the hell are you?"  That took me by surprise, I thought he would have recognized my energy since we've shared several dreams, but whatever… I identified myself as Raven Knight and said there were snacks in the form of dark energy covered bats… and one really big guy that was creating the smaller snacks, he could be dinner.  Walms seemed to be about to give me a response… then I lost all contact… he had woken up.  Damn!  Of course after the confused response I had gotten I was wondering if I had actually gotten through to Walms at all…

So I turned my attention back to Death, he had picked Spike up in one hand and was laughing at him, it seemed he thought none of us could be a considerable threat to him… there were thousands of bats attacking us, so I summoned a natural enemy of the bat… there were large insects in the area that were a lot like praying mantises, and they came and attacked the bats in huge numbers.  Nomad had also done a summoning, and a huge flock of black birds dove from the sky and attacked the bats… there was a battle raging in the sky, the other creatures of the desert were just as anxious to banish Death as we were, I'd contacted the insects but I was not exerting any control over them… they were attacking completely of their own free will.  Angel was creating walls of white fire that were incinerating the bats on contact, Death was still over there laughing because we were so busy with the bats that we hadn't even gotten close to him…

Well, it was time to change that.  The birds and insects were keeping most of the bats busy now, Death was holding Spike up for everyone to see and saying he was just going to have to crush our friend like the gnat he was.  That was much easier said than done, however.  Out of nowhere Altaïr came from above and literally cut the hand that was holding Spike clean off.  Spike, of course, got free easily and jumped up and onto Death's back, quickly striking at the exposed target, tearing into Death's neck and drawing his energy right out.  Death was roaring incoherently in pain and rage, trying to reach back and grab Spike… if he was weakened, he would be opened to attack… so I called scarabs, flesh eating beetles, from the ground to cover Death, consuming the flesh right off of him, Nomad was bathing Death in flames at the same time.  The scarabs didn't seem to notice the flames, their carapaces were protecting them while Death was being burned.  When the scarabs were finished and the flames passed, there was nothing left of Death than a charred skeleton… but he still would not die!  He just kept yelling maniacally that he was Death, the Vampire King, and nothing could kill him!  He could never die!

Death was trying to crush whoever was at his feet, we all got clear of him, Angel was firing some kind of white light directly into Death's eyes which seemed to be both hurting and blinding him at the same time.  While she was doing that a couple of Nomad's ravens swooped down and plucked the eyeballs from their sockets… yuck… and dropped them into the sand, where Death proceeded to step on his own eyes by accident… also yuck…  Nomad was blasting Death with what looked like acid, it was smoking and dissolving the bones on contact, Death was screaming something incoherent again… maybe I could hurry his demise along.

There were tiny worms in the desert… worms that fed on the bones of animals that had died in the desert, so I called some of them, basically ringing the dinner bell for them.  They came out and burrowed into Death's heel bone, Nomad was giving me a strange look, I said they would infect and consume the bones.  Nomad turned into a huge dog and was gnawing on one of Death's bones, an arm bone, while it was still attached.  Nomad tore the bone off and ran off a ways and buried it, he seemed to be finding this to be an amusing game.

I saw the signs of the worms spreading out from the place where they had entered, causing a spider web network of cracks to form throughout Death's entire bone structure.  The bones crumbled as the bones were consumed, I could understand some of what Death was saying, he was saying this wasn't possible, he was immortal, he was Death, he was the Vampire King… and then he turned to dust and blew away on the desert wind.

There was movement around us, there were still some bats around.  We didn't attack them, I figured they were without a leader now and would just return to the safety of the caves.  But they were not doing that, instead they gathered around Spike, changed to their vampire forms, and bowed to Spike.  They were all hailing him as Spike, the Vampire King.  I wasn't sure what had happened, but one of the vampires answered Nomad who also seemed a bit confused.  One of the vampires, an attractive female, came over and said the old Vampire King was dead… and the one to have most recently drank of his blood was Spike, so that meant the crown would be passed on to Spike for his part in the demise of the Vampire King Death.  The vampires seemed quite pleased to see the last of Death...  I looked at Spike, surrounded by his worshippers… he looked a bit awkward there, but wasn't showing it much…  He told them they could stop bowing, the sun did seem to be draining their energy, so Spike told them to get back down below before they all burned up.

Spike came over to me and commented that his being the Vampire King was certainly unexpected… he then added that he had already chosen his queen.  He kissed me.  I felt the dream slipping again.  I'm not sure how long I could extend a dream for, but this time I didn't fight it, I was kissing Spike as I woke.

I had said something about checking back on MoSh to see if he wanted to go on an adventure, but I figured I could accomplished another task of the month for Mortal Mist in the process.  I would go through a mirror to get back to the biodome!

So with the goal of going through a mirror to get back into the biodome, and thus back to MoSh, I summoned a mirror right in front of Pablo and myself.  The mirror was a full body mirror, oval in shape, and it was sitting up off of the ground on a stand.  It would easily make a large enough portal for Pablo and me to go through.  I am not very familiar with using mirrors for travel, so I tried a couple of times… I tried touching the mirror… it was solid.  I then focused on making the surface of the mirror fluid, picturing it as if it weren't solid but instead was the perfectly still surface of a pool of water, so when it was touched it would ripple.  I visualized that clearly in my mind and then reached out and touched the mirror again.  I got the ripples I was looking for.  So now I just had to set the destination.  I focused on the portal leading to the hot springs in the biodome.  As I was focusing, the mirror changed from a still reflective surface to an actual portal in the mirror…  I thought that looked really cool, a wormhole starting at the mirror… so I picked up the Pablo fox, held him close against my body so we wouldn't possibly get separated, and stepped through the mirror into the wormhole.

The ride through the wormhole was a rather wild one, like going on a really intense roller coaster… only much faster than any roller coaster I have ever experienced.  The wormhole seemed awfully long considering that the distance between the surface of the moon and the biodome isn't that far…  It seemed to me that in that case it was senseless to use a wormhole since it seemed to be taking much longer than just teleporting there or using a normal portal.  But whatever, I wasn't in a huge hurry, and the ride was rather fun… or at least I thought it was fun… the fox in my arms looked a little nauseated…   and then we finally came out the other side of the portal… and fell down over a desert, I landed on the back of a horse… wtf?  I was on Stardust's back, Pablo was clinging to me, no doubt as surprised by this turn of events as I was.  I looked around and saw I wasn't alone, Nomad was with us… so was Angel… and MoSh… and Altaïr… Spike… they were also riding horses… and we were being chased by Templars also on horses… what the hell was going on here?  I had set a portal to go to the biodome and now I was here…

Ok, while I wasn't sure what was going on or how I had ended up here, it was pretty clear that I would have to fight the Templars… I rode over closer to MoSh and asked him what was going on, had Nomad found him in the biodome?  Were Asuka and the kids ok?  He gave me a strange look, but I didn't have time to think about that, Templars were shooting arrows at us.  I moved away from MoSh and started throwing  fireballs at the Templars.  Nomad was throwing white blasts of energy, MoSh was throwing what looked like small daggers that were sparking with a green light…  We were doing that, then suddenly Angel jumped from her horse, pulled out a couple of short swords, and proceeded to hop from horse to horse, killing the Templar on the back of each horse before moving on.  She soon got back to the rest of us and got back on her horse, which had continued running the whole time.  I used Battery and called down lightning to strike as many Templars as possible, taking them out while leaving their mounts unharmed.  I didn't want to hurt the horses…  We rode farther across the desert until we came to an enormous sink hole… we got off our horses to investigate.  The horses were getting fatigued, well Stardust wasn't, but the others just had normal horses…  I looked and saw the Templars' horses had continued following us even though they had no riders.  I focused on teleporting them… not sure where, but I could see that it had lots of green grass and plentiful water… it looked like paradise for horses.  All of the horses disappeared, including Stardust.

Nomad was looking down into the sinkhole with obvious interest, he said he wanted to jump in it.  I asked why, pointing out we had no idea where it might lead, he said it didn't matter since we were dreaming and could not be hurt.  I felt movement under my Assassin's robes, which I was finally able to take the time to notice I had the Assassin's robes on, and I realized Pablo had burrowed down under the robes to where he apparently felt safe… or as safe as possible.  All of the others were dressed in Assassin's robes, too.  Altaïr commented that not all of them were dreamers, Angel, Spike, and himself were not dreaming… but at the same time he didn't really have any objections to exploring someplace new… he did that all the time.  What's the worst that could happen?  MoSh said death, Altaïr said no, death is not the worst thing that can happen, some things are much worse than death.  Spike said he couldn't die since he was already dead.  Nomad had already made up his mind and jumped into the sinkhole, I figured I had better follow him, and everyone else apparently decided to follow the both of us.

The sand was flowing through a hole at the bottom and into a cave underneath, I grabbed onto a ledge with a tendril of Witchblade… and felt claws digging into my stomach as Pablo grabbed onto me with his claws… then some weight hanging off of me as Altaïr had grabbed hold of me… Spike flew over the hole in the ground and landed on solid ground at the opening of a cave.  Altaïr jumped to that ledge and also climbed out, Angel floated over there, Nomad and MoSh both flew over and Witchblade pulled me up with the tendril.  So now we were all in the entrance of a cave watching sand fall past us just outside the cave… it seemed the sand must eventually stop, there couldn't be an infinite amount of sand… but the only way for us to go was forward.

I took a couple minutes to disengage Pablo's claws from my stomach… ow… and then I set the fox down, he immediately changed into a state that was half human and half fox, looking something like Fox McCloud from the Starfox games.   He looked over at me and said he was sorry about the thing with the claws, it had just been an instinctive reaction, I told him not to worry about it as I quickly healed the stinging cuts in my stomach.  So the group of us started walking down the passage, through the dark caves, we couldn't see much.  We groped along a bit longer, I heard Angel up ahead saying something was hers… it sounded like Gollum talking about the ring of doom, I almost expected her to demand someone give her back her precious.  Wtf?  I also heard Nomad curse… something was going on around us, I needed to see what.  I adjusted my eyesight to see in the dark… I did that a bit too soon, because a blindingly bright light extended from Nomad as he tried to light the area, I couldn't see anything!  I heard a commotion all around us, sounded like a lot of bats, he had probably stirred up some sleeping bats… way to go…  I finally got my sight back, and the bats weren't running for a darker part of the cave, they were viciously attacking us… scratching and biting… something was odd about their energy.  Their energy was off because they weren't typical bats, they were vampire bats… and I don't mean the kind of bat that drinks a small amount of blood and moves on, I meant the type of bat some types of vampire are able to transform into…  Nomad formed a shield around all of us just as I was about to use Enter Sandman, I told him to drop it long enough to do the spell… he looked at me strangely, then dropped it, and I activated the spell… the whirlwind of dark and light energy pulled a lot of the bats into it, burning them as it did, and the others headed off in different directions through small passages in the cave.

So now all of us were in the cave alone, we were actually in a small chamber rather than just another extent of cave, and there were many exits from the chamber.  The only problem was that most of the exits were much too small for us to fit through, at least too small to fit through in our current forms.  Someone asked what had been with those bats… I said those weren't bats, they were vampires, we had somehow wandered into a vampire lair.  There were four passages that we were able to fit through.  One of those was where we had come from, the other three were new and unexplored.  MoSh and Spike went left, Nomad and Angel went right, Altaïr, Pablo, and I went straight.  We traveled for a short distance before emerging into a huge chamber, there were platforms hanging precariously over molten magma, it looked like it was a volcano… if it erupted, those platforms were history… but for now it looked like a bad platformer game.  There was a man on the highest platform, he was dressed in a dark cloak and completely covered, he was mouthing off about how we had made a big mistake to disturb him… but he had been expecting us.

This is the first time I really noticed that I was alone… Pablo and Altaïr were gone, probably they sensed the hostility in this creature just as I did, and they were getting into a good position to respond to an attack.  I saw Nomad and Angel emerge from a cave and onto a platform to my right, Spike and MoSh emerged on my left… all roads lead to this hell hole…  The cloaked figure turned around and faced us, he seemed to be looking mostly at me since I was in the middle, and he said he was assuming we had come to get our friend back… he indicated a cage hanging over the tallest platform, there was a man in the cage who looked an awful lot like Spike… but that was impossible, Spike was right here… I looked to my left to reassure myself Spike was still there with MoSh, which he was.  I figured the one in the cage must be a twinner…  The cloaked figure continued to say he would be glad to let our friend go, after we defeated him.  So it was going to be a fight!  His loss… or very soon it would be his loss…  Nomad wanted to know who the fuck he was, and he just said he was known as Death.

So the fight started then, Death appeared to be made entirely of bats… he grew in size and then released a cloud of bats from his cloak, more bats than could possibly have fit in that cloak, and they all attacked us.  I used Enter Sandman again, creating another whirlwind to destroy the bats closest to us… and then they all turned back to their master, re-joining him.  I saw Altaïr and Pablo were right behind Death, each of them had  a hidden blade stuck into Death's back…  He was pissed and in pain, trying to reach back for them, but not getting anywhere…  Now everyone there combined out attacks.  MoSh was a naga, breathing green flames on the asshole right as Pablo and Altaïr jumped clear… Angel fired a white arrow, Nomad threw something that looked like a spear, Spike popped up right in front of him, which clearly caused him quite a surprise to see Spike healthy and free, and sucked the energy out of him… and then he collapsed and turned to dust.  As the dust blew away I could hear Death's voice saying he would never die… for Death is immortal.

I flew over to the cage that the other Spike was in and forced the lock open, then I flew in and landed beside Spike, he looked horrible.  He was battered and beaten horribly, parts of his flesh were hanging off in loose chunks… yuck… he looked deader than undead…  I got beside him and spoke his name, he weakly looked up at me and managed a small smile.  He called me Buffy, and said he knew I would come… the Vampire King had said I wouldn't, he had said no one would care what happened, but he had known all along that I would come.  I didn't see the point in arguing that I wasn't Buffy… he needed blood, that much was clear, and a lot more healing than that could do…  I commented to Spike that he needed to feed, he said nah… he wasn't hungry… he was being sarcastic… I told him to bite me, and take some of my blood.  He said no, with the state he was in he wasn't certain he could stop himself before he took too much.  I told him not to worry about that, it was complicated and I would explain later, but I wasn't the Buffy he knows, and there is no way he can kill me here.  He looked at me blankly.  I repeated to him to not be stubborn, to go ahead and bite me, dammit, and drink some of my blood.  He finally did.  If I had been a normal human, I think it probably would have killed me… but I also think he could have stopped.  He paused a time or two to check on me, and only took more when he realized it had not had any ill effect on me.  He finally stopped, he looked some better, but he was still in desperate need of healing.  Everyone was there with me now, and I opened a portal to the healing glen…

On the other side we were in the healing glen, I heard the sound of the Crystal Golem approaching, shaking the ground as he approached.  He wouldn't be sneaking up on anyone…  I called out to him that we'd been in a big fight, and needed his healing!  Nomad prepared his weapon… um… why was he going to threaten the Crystal Golem?  I told Nomad there was no need to fight here… I thought maybe he had lost lucidity.  The Crystal Golem said he would heal Spike…  He applied some herbs, did some energy work, and then he and Nomad headed off to do something… I think for some reason Nomad wanted to fight the Crystal Golem… whatever.  I stayed with Spike and contributed my healing energy to his recovery.

To be continued…

This is the type of dream that I really enjoy writing down.

1- Best Job Ever Four Stars
My brother and I are walking around the city having fun, vampire slayer style. He points to a human woman nearby. "Time for a little training exercise," he tells me with a grin. "See if you can capture that woman before I do."

I laugh. "Bring it on!"

He does something which causes a panic in the crowd and sends everybody running. To avoid getting trampled, I use the rooftops to my advantage. Even so, this lady is a surprisingly good escape artist... for a human. It takes me longer to track her down than some vampires. But finally, I get my chance. I am hanging from the side of a building as she runs by, so I leap off and grab her arm... at the exact same time as Steven. "Darn, it's a tie."

"Please! Please don't kill me!" The woman screams. "I'll do anything! ANYthing!"

I stifle a laugh and tell her that she's on a hidden camera show.

"What? So.. this was all a setup? Haha, you guys really had me going there!" She walks off, and I burst into laughter.

"Did you see the look on her face!? I LOVE screwing with humans like that, they're so gullible!"

"Well, our next task won't be as easy," my brother informs me. "We've been given orders to lay a trap for the Vampire Lord, Gozaimasu."

"Don't tell me he's escaped custody AGAIN?"

"Yep."

We meet our team at Lord Gozaimasu's house and have a brief meeting. My brother and I are to go upstairs and lay the trap, while the others keep guard down below. Fine by me.

We quietly ascend the stairs... It is very dark and creepy. As one expect of a vampire. "He's asleep," my brother informs me after checking the master bedroom. He begins removing some equipment from his bag.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive. I even stuck my hand in his mouth."

We end up getting in an untimely argument about something, which inevitably results in the vampire awakening. "Gah! Look what you did! Run!"

"Crap, he's got a gun!" We run downstairs and alert the others. Outside, I fly up onto the roof and wait. I now seem to be in my grandparents' neighborhood. A woman and her two kids walk up and stare at me, obviously wondering why I'm on the roof. "Um... We're playing hide and seek," I tell them.

"Ooh, can we play?" one of the kids asks.

"I don't think that's such a good idea. This is a dangerous game... We changed the rules a little bit, and---" At that point, one of my teammates bursts from the house with Lord Gozaimasu right on his tail. The vampire has a rifle, which he is shooting repeatedly. Leaping from the roof, I land right on top of him and knock him to the ground. I pick up a large, club-like stick that is laying nearby and beat him unconscious. I would have liked to continue beating him, but the stupid lady and her kids are staring at me in horror. "Er... now I'm 'it'," I say, glancing at Steven.

"Uh... Yeah." He sends them off and picks up the Vampire Lord, taking him back into custody. I decide to go on a short walk with two of my fellow slayers, who happen to be friends from school.
Becoming lucid, I begin to jog, enjoying the feel of my feet gliding over the road.

"Too bad it's not like this in real life," Brigitte says. "Here, we can cover four or five feet in one stride!"

"I know! Gravity is different in dreams. It's like we're on the mooooooooon!" ((Yeah, I was being stupid...)) I take a huge leap which sends me about ten feet into the air, then glide gracefully back to the ground.

Recall dry spell, it sounds like.  You know you were dreaming.

I'm in the same boat - full night of dreams, almost all lost.  I did remember parts of one good lucid from the night though.

Yep, seems that way. I guess my experiment failed, but I'll continue through the rest of the month like I originally intended. (Working with CAT again, in case you're wondering.)

1- Outsmarting Dracula
I am delivering a package to an old creepy house with my dad and my brother. Hopefully there won't be any vampires this time... Unfortunately, I have no such luck. Dracula traps me inside and is hiding behind every shadow, waiting to kill me. He has but some sort of curse on me as well, that I can only break by getting through the barrier on the door. The door is wide open, but there is an invisible forcefield that will not allow me to pass. After beating on it for a minute, I realize that it has a small crack near the edge and operates like a sliding door. I slide it open and escape, my curse instantly lifting.

Later, my mother is angry that I was put in such a dangerous situation. "This happens every time we have to deliver those packages," I tell her nonchalantly. "They seem a lot like dreams... or are they? If that was a dream, that means I'm still dreaming, though." I become confused, but my thoughts are interrupted by someone who is apparently my uncle.

2- Cross Country
I am on my school's cross country team, and we are starting our practice by running on a new trail. This "trail" goes along the interstate, and we are constantly having to dodge cars coming towards us at 70 miles an hour! Eventually A.W. and I make it to the woodland part of the trail, way ahead of everyone else. We come to a fork and turn right. "What makes you think we shouldn't have gone left?" I ask him. Just then, we come to a bridge that has been completely decimated, prohibiting all passage.

"You're right." He says. "Left it is." So we have to run back the way we came and take the left path.

Sounds like noises from the other side may have entered your dreams.
My dreams have been somewhat noisier lately, and there's these strange background sounds a lot. I had another one last night, with the weird animal sounds.

Awesome job, going back in time and being able to tell everyone what it going to happen next.  goodjob  I love those kind of dreams.
Smiley Thanks! Maybe I should have made them float around a little to get their attention, huh?  chuckle

It's about time they believed the all powerful mu!  chuckle
ROFL That's me alright! mwahaha

clap  Way to go mu.
Thanks a lot man!

---

I'm not sure how many dreams these actually are. I don't remember waking up during them. I had all these in less than 3 hrs after going to sleep, after which I woke up, but I can't remember the dreams after that. Strange, because it's the opposite of what usually happens. But it confirms my early lucid suspicions once again.

---

I'm some type of small flying animal that lives in a barn. I'm not sure if I have a body, but I don't feel at all human. Maybe I'm not even corporeal? It's the middle of the night, and there's all these cats and other creatures in here too. Raccoons, small flying horses, invisible things... All kinds of strange creatures. We're having some kind of secret meeting, making little chattering and squeaky sounds. There's a very wild, untamed atmosphere about the whole thing.

---

I'm being hauled off in a medieval-type cart, like they used to carry off the dead. We're being pulled through some noisy, decadent village. I hear villagers speaking in a strange language.

I manage to sit up when the cart moves onto some less bumpy ground. To my right is my grandmother, lying on her back, in the process of dying. She is having violent death throes, and blood is spewing from her mouth. I know there is nothing I can do to help her.

To my right is a young man who is also dying. He is trembling violently, and is in sheer terror. I look back to my left, by my grandmother has just died. I feel a rush of energy as she breathes her last breath. I suddenly feel like I have some new understanding, and I grab the kid's arm in an effort to calm him. I can experience his terror, but I quickly go into a deeply relaxed state, and the kid seems to calm down a lot, and accept his fate.

We suddenly run into a ditch or something, and I fly off the cart.

---

I land on the front lawn of a strange house. I become aware that I'm dreaming. I'm about to take off flying, but my dad grabs me and says sternly "You should do something serious this time." I say OK, and of course I take off flying across the street like an escaped lunatic.

Across the street I see that I'm flying over a wonderful landscape, hundreds of feet above mountains, rivers, forest, etc. , with little glowing villages in valleys between the mountains. Everything is vibrantly colored and beautiful. I fly for many miles (it was a very long time.)

I see up ahead the "lucid track", which is a kind of obstacle course race for lucid dreamers. It also looks kind of like a carnival or something. There's an entrance, after which there's all kinds of hanging and floating balloon like dream objects to fly through and around.

I fly through the entrance and I see two personnel in a booth watching the entrance. On of them is a grouchy old woman who looks like she's been up for 4 days drinking coffee and smoking. I think it would be funny to moon the woman as I'm flying past, so I do. I hear her say "Oh, that's freaking hilarious" in a really nasty, sarcastic voice, and she turns to the other person and says "Another one, geez."

I have fun flying through the track, dodging balloons, or else deliberately flying into them and sending them sailing. There's quite a few other lucid dreamers flying around too; everyone's having a great time. On my way out, I hit a balloon that looks like a baby and send it into orbit.

I've somehow flown right into a huge building with 4 foot thick reinforced concrete walls. The walls even have wire mesh all over them. I wonder if it's some kind of jail for rowdy dreamers. There's a crowd of bored looking DCs walking around the floor. I can't see the entrance I came in.

I decide to try to fly through the impossible walls. When the DCs realize my intention, they cheer me on but remain doubtful. I see all these strange drawings and patterns on the walls. I back up, gather all my speed and fly directly at one of the patterns. I'm finding that I can go extremely fast, but it's hard to change direction. I hit the pattern at full speed, but it doesn't hurt. I bounce, and slide back down the wall a little.

The DCs are disappointed but not surprised. I try it again. I fly back to the other side of the room, and fly at the same pattern again. In mid flight I suddenly decide to change my target, and I select a different pattern. I am absolutely shocked when I go through the wall! I can feel every inch of it going through me; what a strange sensation! I can fell concrete and wire mesh going through my brain, bones, etc. . Freaking weird. It takes at least a minute to get all the way through, and although I'm greatly accelerated, I never stop or get stuck.

When I get outside I have the most amazing feeling of lightness and freedom.

---

I wake up on my bed and decide to float right up into the air. The whole time I watch my bed very closely to see if I'm leaving my body, like an OOBE. I can see very clearly that it's my whole self floating up, and I'm leaving nothing behind. I even get my foot caught on a sheet and pull it across the bed a little.

I float out onto the lawn (I easily passed right through the walls) where I discover a small metal object in a pile of leaves. I have just picked it up when someone says "No, don't touch it, you'll summon him!" Too late.

Another lucid dreamer shows up and says "I see you want my dog's tag. Well, you can't have it unless your dog can defeat my dog!" I'm like, "I didn't even want the tag, and I'm not going to let my dog fight." I proceed to leave to find something better to do with the dream. He follows me, with his dog.

Also, my dog is now here, flying along with me. I'm thinking, cool, I could have been lucid with my dog, but this jerk's here. I go over and pick up his dog and take it apart into a million little pieces, like a puzzle. This causes the dog no pain and does not kill it. I say, look, I can just do that again, and my dog can too, if you want to waste your time putting him back together and nagging me again.

He sighs and admits defeat. He flies off into the night and turns into a vampire. Suddenly I realize that everyone, even me and my dog, are now vampires. My dog looks really weird as a vampire. We look at each other, quite startled and speechless for some time. All of the sudden the sun comes up really fast, and it hurts our sensitive vampire eyes, and I wake up.

A friend and I had a device that could travel through dangerous dimensions.  Most of them were so dangerous that we'd just look in, then immediately get out and close the door and set the device to the next dimension so we could get out.  I remember one doorway opened up in a locker with a dead vampire in it, and we had to be very careful because the vampire's blood was acid.

In another, we were captured by the authorities, and escaped into the outdoors.  There were huge mounds of ice and snow all around the path.  I suddenly knew that I could use telekinesis, and that I should rip out huge chunks of ice from the ground and throw them at my foes.

I was able to do this, although it was much tougher to use telekinesis than it is when I'm lucid.  Everyone else was gone, so I just threw the chunks of ice back towards the way I came.

That's pretty weird that there was a recurring setting at the mall. I have a repeat dream in a very similar kind of `amalgamation of various malls...' with parts of other dreams, etc. . Maybe it's because malls are like a `big world' with lots of `little worlds' in it. I haven't been to a mall in over 10 years and I still have dreams like this.

Yeah, I think I also dream of malls much more often than I go to them in real life.  They are very interesting in dreams, maybe that's part of why the recur.

The new settings I set my timer to were good enough to wake me up twice, I only remember trying FILD once, and I think I fell asleep during the attempt.

Fragments: 1. Playing with the Zodiac, a handheld gaming console I used to own.  2. Stephen Colbert comes to my house, gives me money, and shows me how to transform my phone into two separate phones by sliding it apart at the sliding point.

Lucid: Dimensions
I was visiting an alternate dimension, the first I had ever visited.  It was a quick trip, and during it, the dream became more coherent.  The alternate dimension was much like ours, but smaller, and more peaceful.  After a few confusing and poorly-remembered events, I returned home.

My home dimension was identical to reality, except that they had widespread dimension travel.  It was sort of a rite of passage to go on your first dimensional trip, and it was a status symbol to travel between dimensions frequently, as was evident by the people in my class bragging at how they frequently visited other dimensions.

I had the opportunity to visit another dimension.  What dimensions you could visit varied from person to person, but you could take people with you, which I chose to do.  You could see a small amount of information from the dimension before going there, and the one I chose looked like it would send us into the dimension at a space shuttle with a ghost problem.

The space station seemed mostly identical to a dark old building on earth; it even had gravity.  The ghost problem was disappointingly insignificant, the ghost was a tiny cartoon ghost that acted like an insect, and it soon left us alone.  However, we soon found the bigger problem: a vampire.

Finding the vampire made me become lucid, but I decided to keep going with the plot of the dream.  I grabbed my tablet stylus, and while I was walking back towards the room with the vampire, I tried drawing an eye on my hand again in another effort to alter my vision.  I succeeded with creating the eye, but failed at seeing out of it.  When I reached the vampire, I began attacking it with the stylus.

I don't know why I was attacking the vampire.  It wasn't bothering me or my friends, although it seemed annoyed at our presence.  It didn't even react much to me attacking it, probably because hitting it with my stylus wasn't doing much.  Not long after, the dream ended.

n.o. 01.02.08

I am feeding some animals for this woman one night. I'm about to return from the yard just as it's getting dark out, when I notice a couple horses that look just like the horses this woman used to have, that died. They're kind of glowing and radiant looking, and I'm calling the woman "Wow! Your horses came back to life!", etc. . As I'm yelling I notice that there's a whole lot of animals in the yard, all kinds, like giraffes, zebras, etc. .

When the woman finally gets outside, there are a few gypsies approaching from the other side of the yard. They hail us and say "The barns are steadily improving." This seems to be some kind of traditional promise that they will fix the barns real nice if the woman lets them stay there. Indeed, they have already covered the barns in huge sheets of plastic. They also indicate that the strange animals are theirs, that the rains are coming, and that the animals need somewhere to stay before some kind of festival.

The woman will have none of it. She is outraged and pulls a shotgun, ordering them off the property. I feel bad for them, and try to convince her to be nice. I say I won't help her anymore. The gypsies walk sadly into the distance, never to be seen again.

---

The US government has been keeping a terrible secret that's finally become too much for them to handle. It seems that, right under the main office of some super powerful CIA-like agency no less, there dwells the most powerful and horrific vampire of all time. In order to placate this vampire, they have been offering him regular human sacrifices. For whatever reason, after over 100 years of this, they've decided that enough is enough. Someone has to kill the vampire.

I am part of a select few who even knows about it. Not even the agents that work in the building know. Many teams have been sent deep underground never to return. (Well a few guys returned, and we have their reports.) This time it's me and a couple of slightly overweight women. I am strangely transfixed by one of these women. She seems really confident we will catch the vampire, but she thinks I'm too green for the mission, or something. But otherwise she's nice.

After sneaking around pointlessly upstairs for awhile, pretending nothing is going on, attending a few "theoretical" vampire killing seminars, etc., we finally descend down a hole in the basement. The underground caverns seem strangely well lit. After a few days, we go down maybe 6 or 7 stairways, cliffs, etc. . We see a few big tough German guys, ascending the steps, (the steps look like perfectly normal, average steps, which I think is weird) barely having escaped with their lives. They're all bloody and wounded and stuff, carrying on in German, as if they've just escaped from hell. They give us some intelligence and wish us luck.

We sleep that night in a bedroom that just happens to be off to the side. I have a stick with which I keep poking the confident woman's ass while she's trying to sleep. Maybe I've been down here too long, but she's beginning to look really attractive. The next morning she actually seems to have warmed up to me a little too.

The next day she trips me as we're going down some more stairs. We laugh, and it's just really funny. I toss a rock at her feet and she falls over and goes rolling down the stairs. Lying half crippled on the bottom of the stairs, we share a meaningful gaze into each others eyes.

This underground looks very modern and ancient at the same time. It seems to go on forever. It's very tough going but also offers surprisingly many conveniences too, like when we stop at this restaurant for lunch. The proprietors seem to look a little bit like vampires, so the other (smart) woman deduces that we must be getting close to the lair.

The next night while they're sleeping I find a secret passageway into my grandmother's house. I find some cakes and bread and stuff. I find a little cabinet with some old cassettes in it. Inside a few of the cassette cases I find some joints, but mainly a bunch of roaches. I'm delighted. I consolidate all of these into one case, which happens to be a Cream tape. I put it in my pocket for a special occasion.

I don't know how, but we eventually find the vampire. Somehow we've managed to get fairly drunk on the way. The vampire's sitting in this really cool big room, that looks very old but has all kinds of luxuries and stuff in it. He sitting at this large, heavy wooden table with topless women surrounding him. He actually seems like a really swell guy. He invites us in, offers us some food and drink. I complement his shirt; it looks like one of my grandfather's traditional shirts. I break out he roaches and he just happens to have this big water bowl. We end up having a great time and the confident women and I are all over each other. (The topless girls are a little too vampirish.)

Later on he tells some ancient vampire stories by firelight. These are fascinating. He also explains that he has no idea why the government was offering him dried up, already dead people. I notice that the women I came with look kind of like vampires now, and I get a little nervous. I begin to suspect that I'm dreaming, but I wake up.

It was night, and I was at the top of the driveway at my old house. For some reason, someone had propped up the roof of my car against it, and I was trying to snap it back into place. My friend A from work comes up the hill and starts chattering away about work or something, but eventually we get to the topic of Edward Cullen, aka that vampire from that movie that everyone's talking about.
Then, lo and behold, there he is, backing down and out of my driveway. A and I talk a little about how he's really let himself go. I tell A that his face looks like a "deformed chihuahua." Along with this admirable quality, Edward also has one shut eye, and is drooling all over himself.
Aaaaaand...right as he is pulling away...he winks at me.... shock
A and I scream and "ewwwww!" like little girls hahaha.

I am at a gas-station, giving blood. For some reason, the elderly woman that is doing my IV can't find a vein, so she proceeds to stick IVs (just the needle connected to an inch of tube) at the crook of both of my arms, at the top of my middle fingers (which was very very very uncomfortable), and on my palms. Something calls her away at this point, and I'm vaguely aware of some kind of emergency.
---
I'm in this nice lush valley scenario. There's a river to my left, and the grass is about 2 feet tall. I'm also running for my life from this monster (a vampire?) because he wants to kill me for my blood, which he knew about after the IVs. I try to dodge back and forth and run through squares of planted crops, and he gets frustrated, saying something about how that "throws off his circuits."
---
I am with a large group of people, and we are all trapped in this very grand hotel, being held captive by the mean dude/monster from before. "Western" music comes on the radio, and I know that that is my cue. My grandmother and I run up to a small bedroom and grab a small bag full of our things. We go back down the stairs, and walk out the front door. It's a very satisfying feeling. We then have to climb up a hill that hides the house, and we find ourselves in a cul-de-sac.
I have a kind of dual existence for a moment, and back in the house I see everyone grouped up listening to a message, which states: "I have been watching you the whole time. Goodbye." and something happened, but I'm pretty sure everybody died.  confused
*for clarification: I'm pretty sure this was set up like a game-show, and that's why I didn't feel the need to go back and save those people? I should have.   sad1

and lastly, my subconscious would like to present this award winning piece of literature for your examination:    "wires"  . Tongue
