Classical music
« on: May 08, 2011, 09:23:35 PM »
So I have been in a complete dream rut for a long time, mainly because I have to wake up really early for work but even on the weekends when I wake up on my own I still haven't been remembering any dreams. Last night I decided to listen to some classical music (made a pandora station starting with bach).
After about 20 minutes I could feel sp taking hold. I was lucid after the first few seconds of the dream that I remember.
Just thought I would post this, oh and also I was concentrating on the music while I was laying there.
A dreaded sunny day
So lets go where we're happy
and I meet you at the cemetery gates
Oh Keats and Yeats are on your side

That is really pro, I might have to try doing that.

I actually listen to classical music anyway, so it might help.

I also listen to Classical Music - you might be interested in Chinese Traditional Music too.

Anyway, I heard something about Bach and dreams, but can't remember what it was exactly.

  • We are made of such stuff as dreams are made of.

One of the special treats about going to our northern cabin by myself is being able to leave a radio on all night.  Classic jazz is my choice, and it does work its way into my dreams.  Falling asleep to it is super easy, and it certainly plays a role in my better-than-at-home chances of getting lucid.

Another music genre I really enjoy falling asleep and dreaming to is trance/New Age type stuff - Brian Eno and the like.
What truly matters is not built of right and wrong; but of grace, and of love.
