Weather Corridors. 9 July 2014.
Clarity 4/5 Lucidity 4/5 Fun 2/5

I am in a brightly lit unfamiliar building, going through narrow corridor to the bathroom and realize I am dreaming.
I remember my dream  tasks for today and go to the tiled wall. Alternatively look at the tile pattern then on my hands to gain stable awareness. This goes well.
I notice a small scab on my left hand, want to remove it, but it is too firm. Continue awareness excersise five more times and decide to go  somewhere else.

Suddenly a big silent guy grabs me from behind. I feel uncomfortable and have difficulty moving. I poke him and say "I want you to disappear" repeatedly but it does not help. I go to the other end of the corridor ignoring him and he eventually disappears, I even do not notice it.

Addressing the awareness behind the dream I shout "I want to see what weather will be tomorrow!" - it is my second dream task. Something unintelligible happens, I am not satisfied with this.

I wander through corridors some more, on one wall there is a painting with a label 137. I examine it for some time and wander on. There is a screen and I decide to repeat the experiment with different wording and ask the awareness behind "I want to see what weather will be tomorrow in [the capital]" although I am not in the capital. On the screen appears a map, some white clouds float from top to bottom and
I wake up.

Unfortunately the dream message was not clear to me, the map was unfamiliar and I didn't bother to check whether there were white clouds in the  capital  :)

Solid job recalling and implementing your goals.

For me, making literal verbal requests out loud has never worked Seems to work for some - not me. Have you ever thought about other methods of communicating your requests to your dreamspace? For example, if you wanted to meet up with a particular person, conjure something meaningful that belongs to them as an item to "attract them" to you. Those sort of abstract ideas can work well for me.

Subscribing. :)

By the way, your dream tasks....do you use the exact words "I want to..." ? I know this may sound silly but sometimes the wording can actually help in a dream. For example, maybe a more direct command like "Disappear from my sight!" or "Show me tomorrow's weather!" might work? Maybe give it a try next time and see what happens. :)

I am still quite new to the "task oriented" approach to LD, so don't have much experience. I will definitely try luring someone with things important for them, thanks for the advice!!  :content:

Yes, this is great advice, it did feel awkward to say "I want to..." so next time I will prepare better.

Afternoon nap. Little boy asks me to help him find a cat. We are in my summer house village at the end of a street next to the house where a very dangerous dog used to live. Now this house and a land around it looks empty and abandoned. I pull myself up on the fence, although there is no need for this - on the right there is no fence at all. No sign of a cat. I hear mew from the bushes, go there and call the cat. It walks in the high grass so I can only see grass moving away from us towards a small trail, and sits on a trail. It is a white fluffy cat. I tell the boy to wait a while, not to go to the cat straigh away.

I go to another abandoned house, enter and in one room find two beds with clean beddings. I inspect one blanket, it is big and warm. I feel content and want to move a pillow to the other side of the bed.

Suddenly I remember (!) that i am dreaming and looking at the wall say out loud "I want to see something important.... please show me." - my dream task for today. Everything goes dark, I rub my hands and mentally sing a tune to keep aware. In the dark I see phosphenes, little blurry dots of light.

Slowly I FA in my parents flat, go to the bathroom. The light switch is on the different spot on the wall. I flip it and it does not work. My sister comes out of the shower smiling a little embarrassed. She lacks a couple of front teeth, which makes the smile creepy. She says "So, we won't do like that anymore?" I ask "Like what?" She says "Knock knock". And I suddenly remember or false remember previous dream when she woke me up and frightened awfully. I lose the power of speech, everything goes dark, my body collapses in the corner and I wisper "Oooohhh, I was scared nearly to death....."

Skiing kid

I see a snow slope ending with a ramp after which there is a lake. A small boy in thick jacket which makes him look like a ball is skiing down the slope, flies off the ramp and plops into the lake. Float for a while on the surface then swims to the shore.

The leg

I and my friend are given a human leg which we have to share. I feel nauseous turn away and tell him to cut it. He gives me a thigh, inside it is tasty baloney.

Interesting, I had a white long haired cat visit me recently.  As for the dream tasks, I agree making them solid statements or demands helps me solidify my Will as absolute.  Also this may sound confusing but try projecting the task as an intent rather than stating the task.  Imagine it but also see and feel it happen all at once. If that makes any sense.
