I wonder why the dream is 'yucky' - it didn't seem particularly scary or anything like that Oh! I finally had a small Lucid after my latest 3 month dry spell.

Lol, some Twilight Zone episodes are so dumb, but some are so awesome, like the one with William Shatner. Yea that's a good one. Yea a lot are dumb but still fun to watch. I gotta finish those so I can start on the Outer Limits. I guess LT isn't very desirable, huh?

I wonder why the dream is 'yucky' - it didn't seem particularly scary or anything like that Hm, very inappropriate person to be in bed with is the best way to put it. And you know how some deams, not just sex dreams, but any when you do something that you wold be very horrified to find yourself doing IRL. Oh! Yay! I'll check it out.

I slept an hour later than usual so I guess I was tired. Some dream talk in a chess game and some DJ reading last night led to a little lucidity. CWILD tonight!
TwoShadows comes to Thanksgiving Dinner
TS comes to visit, and people from my work along with my family are having a Thanksgiving Dinner, so I bring her along. When we get there, the people from work are fighting amongst themselves, and I'm embarrassed for TS to be exposed to them. I introduce her, and now I switch to worrying that they may wonder why she has a name like that, and that may lead to talk about dreaming, which I'd rather them not find out about. However they are so engrossed in themselves and their bickering that they don't comment on her name.
Meanwhile my family has already sat down and started eating, and in fact they have eaten all the food! All that's left is a whole bunch of dinner rolls. I can't believe they did that. My Mom and Aunt get out some leftovers for us so we have something to eat. I think, it figures, the Thanksgiving that I have a guest, everybody has to act like this.
DC Tries to Help Me
I'm in the forest, on a path. A dark-haired woman comes and leads me out. I don't really feel lost, I felt OK, but there is a fork in the path which I realize might have caused me problems.
The woman takes me to a shop and orders donuts and and give me one. I'm a little annoyed by this, being on a no-donut diet, but I take it anyway. She pulls up the long shirt she is wearing and and turns around and shows me her naked butt. OK...not sure that is appropriate either, but whatever. Angrily, she lights two cigarettes and gives me one, looking at me very intensely. This woman is obviously a very bad influence, and I should probably not hang around with her anymore...wait! I'm smoking a cigarette! I need to RC, for sure! I know I need to do that!
I look for my hands. Where the hell are they? I know they should be around here somewhere...how hard can it be to find your damn hands, it's not like they can get very far away...maybe if it wasn't so dark, that's the problem...I can vaguely see them now, or maybe I'm imagining them, and imagining that the fingers are too short, no, not my real hands....I think I know whether or not this a dream, hands or not, and I know it is...but it's like not a dream anymore, because there's nothing here...

Aww...that's cool. Thanks for the TG Dinner invitation. And isn't that funny about the names. I also have had dreams where I am talking to people about people from the dreaming forums and wondering what people will think of their odd names. And even then, I usually don't even think to RC! And that second dream was pretty crazy. But good job in figuring out you were dreaming even if it didn't last, and you didn't have a chance to try for the Moon. Next time... Oh, and here is a little reminder.... (Just stare at this picture for a little while.)

Inappropriate - like it! Sometimes feelings and images in dreams can be (in hindsight) quite disconnected no matter how much they made sense at the time. I once fell passionately in love with a vegetable.

Aww...that's cool. Thanks for the TG Dinner invitation. I wish I would have had some healthy food for us. And isn't that funny about the names. I also have had dreams where I am talking to people about people from the dreaming forums and wondering what people will think of their odd names. And even then, I usually don't even think to RC! Sometimes in dreams DC's call me "Moonbeam". And that second dream was pretty crazy. But good job in figuring out you were dreaming even if it didn't last, and you didn't have a chance to try for the Moon. I have wanted a DC to help me for so long (more than once, hopefully!) that I was glad for even that little bit. And I almost forgot it; I think trying to remember the dream with you brought that one back. Next time...
Oh, and here is a little reminder.... (Just stare at this picture for a little while.) I will now and before bed too!

Dreams in this post: D:1 L:4 F:3 |

CWILD night. I had a killer headache about 2:00. I got to the moon! (Thanks, TS. )
I got a lot of DC face-shifting, still in response to Bu's and my conversation on the subject, like showing me how that works. Is my SC being unusually helpful lately? HISwiss Army Yo-Yo. (Do they make those?)HI/FragmentI’m watching a video that pj posted. It’s the view from inside a doghouse. A dog comes in; I assume it’s Lucky, but it’s kind of blurry and hard to tell. The dog is carrying a bone or toy in its mouth, and it gets its face closer and closer to the camera. Somebody is playing with the dog, acting as if they are going to take the dog’s bone, and the dog is snarling and growling. The sound of the growling wakes me up. OBE
I feel the transition and after a little bit I know I’m dreaming, but I’m still in my body. I lift my hand out and look at it—short fingers. So I float up and away, out of my room, which looks normal, but into a junk store instead of my house.
I float by shelves with little statues and things. I trail my fingers along them to see how substantial I am. I can feel them perfectly well, so I pick one up and throw it at the window I’m headed for, hoping it will break it and let me get out. The statue falls short, so I put my hands over my head and make fists and shatter the glass myself.
I float out into the night—yuk! It’s sleeting, and I can feel the cold wetness hitting my body. The area is unfamiliar. I float towards a house and under the eaves so I can stay dry. From there, I look up at the sky. It’s a very dark night, and the stars and constellations and galaxies look sort of artificial, like something I might draw to represent the night sky. But no moon! I look all around—no, not there. So I look in the window of the house. There is a family sitting at the kitchen table. I don’t want to go in and mess with them, but it’s wet outside…
FA-ish-oid
Snap back to my body. Oh no, I hope it’s not one of those nights, where I can't stay out and keep coming back. I think I’m still dreaming, so I hold up my hand—long fingers this time. Should I go back out? I think, I should write the first part down before I do…dream-write it down, then wake up and write it down for real.
Seducing Horatio Hornblower
I think that instead of WILDing again and have that snapping-back problem, I should just go to sleep and get lucid when I start dreaming. As I’m thinking that and going back to sleep, I have a vision.
There is an old-fashioned village. A man runs out of a building and jumps on a horse and rides away. His hat goes sideways, and he reaches up to fix it, but can’t. Annoyed, he rides back to the building.
The man is the kid who played Horatio Hornblower in the English miniseries. (Who is extremely cute, IMO, and is hereby added to my list of dream-men as soon as I find a good pic.) The building is a barber shop, and he had been there getting his hair and hat fixed on his way to an important event.
When he goes back in, the barber is gone, and instead a woman is there. Always being very noble and upstanding, HH just wants his hat fixed again, but the woman wants HH. As soon as I realize what she’s up to, I get into her consciousness.
I undo my blouse and take off my skirt, and lead HH over to the bed. I have to show him and tell him everything to do. (Hey, it was part of the story, I had to do it!)
Same DC?
(Not sure how it starts. (Not sure how it starts. Edit: I remembered!) I see trees from far above. I want to get there, so I let myself fall. I’m falling and falling for a long time, without seeming to get closer. It’s like a fractal. Finally I imagine I try to imagine a thud, like I’m hitting, and I do it. )
I’m floating along a grassy path. It’s dark, so I check the sky—darn, now it’s cloudy. I float along, and come to some gravestones. I get the feeling this is supposed to be spooky, as if some part of SC is trying to get a little scary atmosphere going on, but it’s not happening. A graveyard, big deal, I’m not feeling it. I try to look at the writing on some of the stones, but it’s just lines and symbols, nothing I can recognize. A cat sits on one of the stones and watches me as I go by.
I see a flat-topped building with a light on, so I go in via the open window. Oh, my DC is here. I know now that what I asked him last time is true; he is always the same one. (I think I may be getting my repeat-DC finally, like I’m forcing it to happen. Now if he and that girl who tried to get me lucid can just get together, I’ll be set.)
I go to him and stand in front of him and look at his face. He shifts around a little bit and settles into a (familiar? or not?) dark-haired man. He isn’t talking tonight. I pull him over to the bed and he’s just like HH, but even more so. What’s with him tonight?
The Moon! (Sort of)
Back outside—still dark, so I look up…yay, the sky is clear, the stars are normal, and there is the moon! It’s full, but small, and looks very far away, not so close as it sometimes does. That’s OK, at least it’s there, and I feel solidly in this dream and determined to get there. So I begin the long journey, trying not to think of it that way. I jump and fly towards space, leaving the atmosphere very quickly, into cold dark emptiness, flying for a long time, but not making much progress towards the moon.
Hmm, what to do? I spin around and shift perspective. Now I’m above the moon, and it’s far below me, and I’m falling towards it. This is much easier, falling instead of flying. It’s going to work! I know it is!
I get closer and closer to the moon, but oddly it doesn’t get any bigger. It stays small, and when I get there, it’s the same size it has been all along, about the size of a grapefruit. I land next to it on the flat blackness, and it rolls, sounding like a glass ball on a sheet of metal. I pick it up. It’s beautiful, frosted pale blue glass, with mysterious, smooth, raised symbols.
I know this is not the real moon—the real moon has red brick buildings on it; I saw them when I was there before. But this is very beautiful and a kind of moon, so I’m glad I found it. I think I’ll take it to my special DC and give it to him.
I walk over to the edge of the flat blackness and look over—how convenient, this is actually his roof. I drop down and go back in.
A strange man is in there: drooping on one side, dragging that foot, shuffling around, with his mouth open and drooling, and a dopey expression on his face. Ha ha, very funny, I say. He fixes himself up and smiles at me—just kidding. (But still not talking!) I hand him the Moon, which he admires accordingly. Back to bed! Finally, a man who doesn’t have to be told everything! Not that I minded, but this time I can do my realism-concentration thing, thinking more about that, feeling every detail. (Wake up, move around a little, back to bed.)The Swimming Dogs and SharksI have somehow gotten on a rock which sticks up out of the ocean, near the beach. When I got on the rock, it scared two dogs, who jumped off of it into the ocean. One of the dogs saw that it was OK to come back onto the rock, but the other one was still swimming and scared to get out. I put on some special glasses that let me see under the water. Oh no! The dog is surrounded by sharks. It is going to get eaten if I don’t get off the rock and let it come back on. There are sharks everywhere. I dive in, hoping the big splash will scare them away long enough for me to make it to the beach. I see the rocks and sand on the bottom, everything is bright and clear, and I swim as fast as I can.

You went to the real moon and saw red brick buildings?
You're getting closer. Darn thing is still trying to trick you though.

You went to the real moon and saw red brick buildings? Yea...a long time ago. I'll have to find that one in my DJ. It was really cool and I thought they were alien buildings and I wanted to go in, but I woke up. So I've been trying to get back. You're getting closer. Darn thing is still trying to trick you though.
Yes it is, but I was glad even for that much.

Oh wow...what a night of dreaming! And ...the Moon!!!!Even if it's just a little moon. You are getting it into your dreams. And one day you will land on it and see those buildings. (I wonder if I will see those buildings now that we are talking about them.) Anyway...congrats! (That's a happy moon throwing stars around.)

I don't know...the moon is a pretty big place. (Except for last night.) You'll probaby find something completely different. Anyway...congrats! I don't know how you do it, but you have always helped my dreams, from the very beginning. (That's a happy moon throwing stars around.)

Swiss Army Yo-Yo. (Do they make those?)
With lots of attachments? It could be a good marketing idea.... I undo my blouse and take off my skirt, and lead HH over to the bed. I have to show him and tell him everything to do. (Hey, it was part of the story, I had to do it!)

Right, so those Apollo missions were a fake after all! Back to bed! Finally, a man who doesn’t have to be told everything! Not that I minded, but this time I can do my realism-concentration thing, thinking more about that, feeling every detail.
