Dream Tending; Stephen Aizenstat PH.D
« on: July 10, 2019, 06:51:02 PM »
I learned about this guy through the radio show Midnight in the Desert.

I listened to the interview and thought it was interesting. Stephen Aizenstat studied dreaming and conducted experiments that started with finding ways to improve dream recall. From there he experimented with using dreams as means to amp up creativity and also for healing. He used a method I'd always wondered about, encountering and confronting 'the archetypes' as a way to heal and become whole. And if I remember correctly he did it through general dreaming. Just thought I'd pop this here.

That is interesting. I've not experimented with trying any kind of healing in dreams yet. Well not on myself, but just remembering doing it to a DC before. But  that's very different of course. I've tried with mediation though, focusing awareness into specific areas. Actually seemed to help.

This looks really interesting. Looked at his events and nothing too close to me at the moment, but I'm going to check back and maybe look at some of his other stuff.

If you can find any interviews, give them a listen. For me it was fascinating listening to someone who had done experiments based on an idea I've held in my own mind (but never really experimented with myself) for a very long time.
