Yep - really.  I had one once.

Maybe now I'll dream about it!

Let's see, during the day I'm trying to do all kinds, like looking at my hands, finger-bite, reading text, looking at small objects like pens to see if they change, general awareness of what is going on and what has happened up til that point, etc.

Last night in the FA I looked at my hands, turned on the faucet, felt the water, and tried to fly.

I feel a little differently tonight than I did this morning.  I had really high level thinking in the FA, and I should have known it was a dream, despite the extreme realism.  There were enough clues really.  I think the dream yoga actually made me remember to think to do all those RC's which I might not otherwise have done.

I'm definitely going to continue.  That was actually progress, I think, not a failure like I thought this morning.

I definitely see this as progress. The ultimate goal, so to say, is to not even need to RC to know that you are dreaming. Your awareness will be all you need to become lucid, and that's where you are heading when you are questioning reality when you are RCing, instead of just randomly do a RC.

Ironically, this is how I have always RC'd, since I learned to do so. Back when I RC'd regularly, I was having a lucid a week, typically. I just got lazy. :P I am questioning reality even more 'in-depth,' so to speak, now though. I'm also saving any physical RC (usually a nose-hold and then finger-through-palm just to be on the safe side) for last, after I question my reality, and do a reverse RC, asking myself where was I before this point, what was I doing, and whether it makes sense critically. Then I ask myself what was I going to do if it was a dream, to remind myself of my goals.

So far, no more lucids, but last night (today, really — I went to bed at 7 o'clock this morning) I had some wicked wild dreams. Sex and vampires. :D

That goal sounds very nice!

But does anyone here find it pleasant to do these 'thorough' RCs? I don't know if it's good or not. I get really mellowed out or something, yet strangely very aware of everything. It's kind of similar to the way I feel in lucids sometimes. What is this?

I'm very encouraged, and will keep trying!  (I should have been RCing like this all along.  If anything, it's making me more functional, rather than less, as I feared.)
It sure sounds like you were doing a fine job of it! It seems that you carried that same state of mind into the dream (how late was that FA?)

I think I know what you're talking about.  It is pleasant.  Probably just because it's a moment a quiet reflection and introspection.

I don't know if Naiya has any planned, but I haven't. I can see if I can dig up some breathing and meditation exercises if she hasn't!

Meditations, yes, probably in the third week I think. Breathing exercises I didn't write up but if you want me to I can do a quick one for anyone who hasn't had any experience in proper breathing. As for yoga positions, there IS supposed to be a certain sleeping position that we are going to try which is an experiment that LaBerg is doing right now, so we're going to be following the instructions he gives for that since it's supposed to be the preferred sleeping position in dream yoga.
