Naiya's Challenges & Inspirations
« on: July 22, 2009, 12:50:55 AM »
OK, so Moonbeam gave me a really great idea to start my own Lucid Challenges thread. Hopefully, it'll give me more motivation, and having it here might give ideas or motivation to someone else, too.  :)

CURRENT CHALLENGE: I am going to to go here

It's the original Willy Wonka chocolate factory. I've always wondered what all that stuff tasted like, and now I'm going to find out! :D

On the backburner I have the TARDIS Challenge:

I will be visiting all these places using the TARDIS--Time And Relative Dimensions in Space. In other words a space ship/time machine that looks like this on the outside

And this on the inside (it's bigger on the inside!)

Visiting all the Continents

Sydney, Australia DONE
Brasilia, Brazil (South America) DONE
Toronto, Canada (North America)--I live in the US but still gonna do my own continent!
London, UK (Europe)--This is just obligatory  DONE
Luxor Temple, Egypt (Africa) DONE
Shanghai, China (Asia) DONE
Antarctica

Time Travel

-Rome in its prime
-Age of the dinosaurs
-This...is...SPARTAAAA!!!
-Feudal Japan
-England during the Victorian age
-Ancient Egypt

Space Travel

-Moon
-Mars
(more to come)

Mythical Places

-Avalon
-Atlantis

Challenge me!
Give me a cool thing to do in a lucid dream, or a place to go in my TARDIS. :D

For space, try a black hole or the centre of a star.

O.o what's a TARDIS?

And I say: Go to Imperial China! Any dynasty would do... Ming might be easiest? Or Qing, I think those are the longest dynasties China has faced?
Back from the dead...let's hope I'll stick to it.

Travel to the beginning(or end) of time!

Believe it or not, I have done that one before! I even drew a picture of that the beginning of the universe was like. I still have it somewhere. I might do it again though, just for the hell of it. :D

For space, try a black hole or the centre of a star.

Oooh, good idea! :D

Thanks! That's a good one. :)

Yup you're right! :D

I was watching Willy Wonka before bed at one time to help inspire me somehow...I think it was just to eat chocolate, not to actually go to the factory!   That will be something, if you manage to do that.

I'm still under a pseudo dry spell, so it hasn't happened yet but I'm sure it will! :D

You did?! How cool! :D

Sad to say it wasn't me. :P

By the way, in a recent lucid a dream character gave me the phone number/teleport coordinates for Wonka. I've been meaning to pull out my dream cell and see if I can get there at some point. :)

And what about China, or Sparta? :P On that note (China that is) you should go the to 3 Kingdoms Period, about 180-280 AD. A lot of conflict and romance: one Empire forged on family honor, one on Loyalty to the previous dynasty, and, one trying to take over the world and steal someones wife in the process, so there wold definitely be something interesting going on.XP but the Shang and Xia Dynasties give you at least 500 years to fall into. ??!  :D
Between fire and tears. Between flesh and steel. Between love and a dream.
Sic Semper Tyrannus Prime

Tyr: so maybe life just likes to dick with the good hearted, sensitive people?
Kar: It does based on what I've observed yes, but it throws them bones too. In these cases it becomes important to celebrate the little victories

"There is nothing in the Dark: no fear...no pain...only the light. Step into the light"
Aldous Gajic

"The future is all around us, waiting in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future, or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain."

"Two days later...Two drunken men."
Zhang Jinfeng

A firm hand, some sage advice  and a healing cup of tea. So was the legacy of Tyrannus Prime.
