I don't know what else to do with it for now.

I believe dreams are:

- whatever I want them to be;
- I am open to the possibility of dreams being more than just foggy mirrors of RL.
- the key to many of our RL problems
- a way to express ourselves freely

I don't believe dreams are:

- Only a reservoir for repressed emotions
- meaningless and silly
- more about others than myself
- better interpreted by any third party (still, the thoughts of that third party may be valuable to makes us discover a meaning that fits).

Saving fish

I was outside, in the front of my house.
We (me and my family) had just arrived by car, and I remember some small fish that were part of my school project. I run for them, hoping they are still alive, and quickly return with an empty bottle, only with the fish in it, in my hand.
My mother was still there, outside, with a bottle of water. I drop the the fish in this bottle, and when one of the fish fails the target and hits the ground, I know it's because the bottle needs more water. I fill it to the top, and continue dropping the small fish into their new home.
When I'm done transferring the fish, my mom feeds them with jelly bears. The fish look happy, eating and swimming in circles

From here.

This seems like a childhood memory.  I get the sense of a bright, sunny summer day and a suburban setting.  There is a sense of fear, then horror, then a happy resolution with fishies eating gummy bears.

Mom to the rescue.  Left me smiling and feeling warm and fuzzy.
What truly matters is not built of right and wrong; but of grace, and of love.

Saving fish

Wow. I wonder how the fish ran out of water? Did you ever have fish for pets growing up or anything (especially from feeding them jelly bears)?

Reading this made me think of some really familiar feelings I've gotten in similar dreams, like when I dream about being late for class on the day of the final or something. They're so stressful, and then when I wake up I'm so relieved!

Images
Please forgive me StarSeeker, but I can't get the image of SeaMonkeys out of my mind.  They are sadly prone to the very same types of mishaps that have occurred here, and are therefore a powerful image in some of my "childhood" dreams.  :'(

Sensations
Water, water, everywhere..

Emotions
A strange fascination with the little worlds of the creatures in the glass containers of water.  Concern, but almost trying to experience things from their point of view, as if they live in some sort of dreamworld.

I'm drawn to say
I can relate.  :therethere:

Mood
The jelly bears at the end cheered it up.  This was an easy type of dream to relate to..  Simple, yet strangely deep somehow.

It was precisely that feeling! And, despite I didn't said anything about the weather or the setting, I think you got it!

Catastrophe averted.  This could have so easily gone bad!
Still, one of the fish wasn't saved (he was forgotten when we saw the others were OK).

I had fish for pets, but it never occurred to me feeding them jelly bears. I guess it wouldn't be such a good idea IRL.

Precisely! But here the relief is reached before waking, which makes it even better!

That would be an interesting exercise...

I know what you mean - one of those simple dreams that leave the feeling of being much more than they reveal.

1)  I love that title.  :)
So do I.  ;-D

2)  That is the weirdest hand-check RC I have ever read.   O_O
I know... how many times do you have your mutating fingers mutating into miniature persons?

3)  You dream about three doors in lucid dreams a lot!  I wonder what that means.
Now that you mention it, it's true! It's the second time that situation appears.
I really must check upon this. Thanks MB!

I'll have to admit I don't know what fructifies means - sounds like it should mean turning into fruit.  Anyhow...

I often find lucidity is easier if I go upwards in dreams.  I liken this to becoming more conscious, whereas downwards is more unconscious (and less lucid-like I guess).

Fingers becoming people?  Good one.  If we're going down the path of wish fulfilment it sounds like you want some little friends.

The three doors - primary colours.  Dunno what a dream dictionary might say but I'd be thinking along the lines that everything that can be seen is represented by those colours, so by making a choice, you're also limiting your possibilities.  Which is kind of obvious anyway even without the symbolism, but perhaps this is like a message "you can't have/see/know everything".  So be pragmatic and choose and move on.
