So I'm trying to create an avatar, but nothing I put in works. If I upload from my files, it's "unwriteable". If I copy the link location (of the same picture, wherever I found it on the internet) and hit "change profile" the page refreshes but there's still no picture. I've tried many different pictures from different places on the web and a few pictures as either .jpg or .png files. Nothing works! Also I don't know what the minimum or maximum file dimensions are.

You should be able to upload avatars now, with a maximum size of 130x130.

Thank you so much! Though I think the limit might be 100x100? Because it wouldn't let me fit a 128x128, only 100x100.

It might have a unwritten limitation on size (e.g. how many kb), but I set the forum software to use a limit of 130x130 for pixel size.  I wasn't able to do 130x130 either, but I have a 116x119 avatar now.  I'm fairly sure the last one I uploaded was 130x130, though.  I'm still looking into it, and I'll update the guide with the real limitations once I figure them out.

I do remember a KB limitation in addition to the dimension limitation, but don't remember what it was.  My pic is 130x130.

There is a kb limitation somewhere between 19-34kb.  Haven't pinned it down exactly yet.
