My goal is to track the correlation of WBTB length (and actual estimated awake time) with the quality of what follows.  I will also be noting supplement usage.
(If there is a more appropriate board for this, I hope a properly informed Aegis guilder will move it there!)

2011-1-17    .5hr WBTB   1.0hr awake  L-theanine   steady vibrations, poor recall, good HI and near lucid
2011-1-19    .25hr WBTB   .5hr awake  no sups       pulsing vibrations, poor recall
2011-1-20    .5hr WBTB   1.5hr (at least) awake  no sups  no vibrations, fair recall, one uncaught FA.
2011-1-22    .25hr WBTB   .25hr awake   caffeine for CWILD, but no headache   right back to sleep and vivid dreams, but no lucidity.  Strongly pulsed vibrations - 8 seconds vibrating and 2 seconds still.
2011-1-23    .25hr WBTB   .5hr awake  DHEA and L-Theanine  steady vibrations, vivid dreams, great recall and some lucidity - but not much.
2011-1-24    .25hr WBTB  .25hr awake  no sups at WBTB, but melatonin and B6 before bed   no vibrations, two spontaneous lucids and vivid recall of three other dreams.
2011-1-25    No deliberate WBTB, as I hoped and intended to sleep restfully through the night.  I woke at 3:00, vibrating, and tossed and turned the rest of the night.  The vibrations did not pulse or ebb until after I got up for the day.
2011-1-26    .25hr WBTB   .25hr awake   no sups b4 or during   gentle, non-pulsed vibrations.  I managed to use my bass guitar to find a match to the frequency of vibrations, which turned out to be between Eb1 and E1 - about 40hz.  Fair recall.
2011-1-27    .25hr WBTB   1hr+ awake   L-theanine B4, none during   steady, strong vibrations and difficulty staying asleep the remainder of the night.  Good recall.
2011-1-29   Overshot my WBTB time, got up and couldn't get back to sleep.
2011-1-30   .25hr WBTB, .5hr awake, caffeine (but no headache), couple vivid dreams then awake for good.
2011-2-5    .25hr WBTB, 1hr awake, caffeine (had headache), one lucid
2011-2-6    .25hr WBTB, .75hr awake, galantime, intense string of vivid and confused lucids and non-lucids
2011-2-11  .25hr WBTB, 1hr awake, no sups b4 or during - steady vibrations in between dream cycles, but slower than usual.  Estimate 16 - 20 hz.  Not pulsed.  Good recall.
2011-2-18  .25hr WBTB, .5hr awake, calea and 130mg caffeine with aspirin.  Good recall, no lucidity, pulsed vibrations.
2011-2-20  .25hr WBTB, .75hr awake, 1/4 nicotine patch.  Lucid dreams and steady 40hz vibrations in between - and still vibrating 2 hours after waking up.  (I was quite ill early yesterday with severe vertigo and motion sickness, took Dramamine which likely plays into this.)

This will be much easier when the Dreamcatcher enhancements are implemented.

Great idea, pj! I had started to track this personally over the summer, though I didn't do it long enough to get any reliable data. The furthest I managed to get was... 0.5 hours, likely not long enough to produce a LD. Guesstimate would be at a 25% rate. 1 hour = was pretty much the 50/50 point and yielded decent quality lucids when it did happen. 2 hours were 100% and amazing quality LD's... but not really definitive because I only did it twice. But this gives me a great idea... plotting (I'll track my WBTB's in my journal, and I'll gauge the WBTB length in accordance with my work schedule).

Cool, Serenity!  I'm anxious to see how this develops.

Just want to post a note here about my experience yesterday and last night, February 20, 2011, so I remember.  I suffer from something that might be called "positional vertigo".  I was finishing up a project that involved doing some very strenuous work on my back, and as a predictable result was incredibly ill afterward.  I came home and after talking things over with my wife and Moonbeam decided to try taking some Dramamine.  It worked, but with the usual side effects of that - I never feel quite right, but it is way better than being so ill.

The effects of the illness and the Dramamine together may well have had an impact on the nicotine usage.  I'm going to try that again soon without all the other potential influences being involved.
