Ah, the doing-something-that-you-quit dream, a classic, and one you're always relieved that it was a dream.

That's a good sign that you were relieved the drink had disappeared instead of mad or disappointed that it was gone.

A bit un-nerving about the red signature dream..understandable though. Well done getting rid of that troubling little man. The drink bit of the dream..you know, I've had situations IRL similar to that..putting me in a awkward places, i'm glad the drink vanished.

Hmmmm...if this is in any way connected to the Taurus dream, you are gaining confidence and scaring off what seemed daunting (and is now little) and the place is filling with people now - the forum indeed is taking off, even since the Taurus dream.

Dreams in this post: D:1 L:0 F:0 |
|
I am in an old house sitting in a ratty stuffed chair. I am in my early 20's. H. is laying on the floor at my feed. (H is the lady who hasn't been back in my dreams for a while now after a seeming "resolution". She's an old flame and should be a great dreamsign by now.)
There are others around, and we are talking about taking a road trip up north. As we are talking, I am massaging H's hands, arms and her head and temples, and she is clearly enjoying it tremendously.
We decide to go north, but H says that she has to bring her cat. I'm concerned about this because I have an injured cardinal who is going to be traveling with me, along with my dog. With all the animals and the other two people, it seems like the trip is going to be pretty uncomfortable, especially in my old car. So we gather our animals and friends and head out to the car.
As we walk, my bird complains bitterly and keeps trying to get away. I'm wishing it could fly, but it can't and I know an animal will get it or it will get killed, so I pick it up and bring it into the car. I find it a place to perch on the dashboard, but it immediately flies to the side and crawls into a hole in the door. We all get arranged in the car, but as soon as I put it in gear the cat bites into my right hand deeply. H. has to pry it off of my bleeding hand. My dog has to be restrained.
I'm thinking that the moment we turn our backs up north we're going to end up with a dead bird and then a dead cat, and it isn't going to be good.

Wow, sounds like a proto-typical anxiety dream. Too bad it didn't trigger lucidity. :(

You would think so. It's funny, 'cause I'm feeling no anxiety. I know that demon well and am extremely alert to it. Yep - it's all there, isn't it?

I think sometimes when we have an odd dream, and we think about it a lot, it's a self-reinforcing cycle. Maybe that's what's going on with H; we've all tried to analyze it and ended up really getting it into your brain.
You know what Oneiro would say about that cardinal.

Oh my gosh... yes! Of course I wasn't lucid.

It's hard enough to recognize them when you're lucid. I miss Oneiro pointing these things out; we'll have to be more aware of them ourselves.

Are you an animal lover in real life pj?
Also, what would Oneiro say about the cardinal?

Are you an animal lover in real life pj? Very much so. My avatar is my dog, Lucky, who was a rescue. Also, what would Oneiro say about the cardinal?
He would say that it might have been a "scout." If you are not familiar with Carlos Castaneda, that's still not going to mean anything to you.
