One fragment about trying to drive a truck with no back tires out of a field.  There were only bare wheels on the back.

Indeed.  It wasn't frustrating-tricky... just kind of weird because the back end would just sink in and not gain any traction.  I had to find very flat paths.

Really struggling with recall.  All I remember is having very happy, enjoyable dreams, but even the tiny fragments are now gone.

It is a bit frustrating, indeed.  I really enjoy my dreams, and I miss them when they aren't accessible.

The moment I woke up there was almost nothing left other than the feelings and a couple small fragments that I really made an effort to hang on to.  Those didn't even last until I got my computer opened up.

Thats when a notebook and a pencil next to the bed come in handy. However, I have had difficulty reading my own writing as frequently as difficulty recalling my dreams !  Roll Eyes

Voice recorders may help? I know some people here use that instead of writing.

I do keep a notebook by the bed, but I thought I had enough of a grip on the fragments to get them recorded with no problem.

A voice recorder would not likely be welcome in our bedroom.  When I sleep by myself, which is only when I'm up north alone, I keep the computer on and in reach for quick note-taking.

I am helping a few others break up an estate.  It is a large home that was owned by somebody with an odd collection of interests, and I was asked to help out with identifying the items and determining how best to dispose of things.

The collection included a large variety of old audiophile and radio gear.  In spite of the age of the equipment, everything was in exquisite condition, arranged and organized for easy access and functionality.  A lot of the household items went to the first floor for an estate sale, but we were stumped by several items, including a DJ console consisting of Fisher, Crown, Macintosh and B&O equipment and a huge Hallicrafter's transmitter that resembled a reclining lion.

(I woke from this dream planning to take GM, but it was too late in the morning for it - I had slept past the time I would normally have taken it.  I decided to try re-entering the dream and was successful, but still didn't get lucid.)

The dream continued with me trying to explain that all of these companies made very fine consumer and commercial equipment that was sought after by collectors, but they also made very specialized things that really belong in museums, and that much of what we were finding here was in the latter category.

I am at my parents' house.  My mother seems a bit younger and is normally mobile.  My sister M. is there too, along with her son who is playing in a back bedroom.  My mother and father are fighting over a black eyeliner pen that my dad wants to use for something but mom won't let him have because it was her mother's.  I get angry and tell him I'll go buy him one for himself.  In parting, I tell them that I'm sick of having to treat them like a couple of f***ing children.  I realize after I said it that M.'s son might have overheard me.  I apologize to her and quickly leave.

I am in my old elementary school, but am older.  The school building is now functioning as an extension of the local community college, and I'm attending an evening class there.

After the teacher dismisses the class, a companion walks over to a time clock on the wall and punches out.  I notice everybody else doing this as well, and realized that in all the years I've gone to this college, (my dream memory tells me it has been a very long time,) I have never once punched a time card to prove my attendance.  My friend tells me that it has been a requirement for years.

I walk to the front office to thank whoever has been taking care of my lack of attention to the attendance protocol.  There are three ladies in the office.  A male staff member is standing in the doorway talking with them.  I wait for a break in the conversation and ask my question.  A heavy lady with short dark curly hair smiles knowingly when I ask my question.  I say, "I have two degrees from here, a perfect GPA and near perfect attendance, and all this time I could have been thrown out of any of my classes for lack of attendance.  I have never known there was a timeclock requirement in all these years.  Do you know how many years it has been?"  The smiling lady say, "I do know - it has been 31 years."

I am with my childhood friend B.B., and we are taking short one-day trips to photograph different things.  Our destinations are impossible for one-day trips, but we are waking in the morning, flying somewhere very far away, taking photos and returning, sometimes late at night.

We ride scooters to one location that isn't too far away.  When we get there, we have to go through a security check and then go back to an odd, blockish low building.  All the parking spots are reserved, but we find a concrete bicycle caddy.  When I park my bike there, I disturb a dog who is living inside of it with her pups.  It is a medium-sized brown dog, and she seems vicious and upset at our being there.

We return to B.B.'s house, where his parents are waiting up for us.  We tell them that we are going to Marrakesh tomorrow, and they yell at us about how ridiculous a destination that is.  I suggest to B. that he come over and sleep at our house for the night, which will save us having to hook up in the morning before heading out.

Were you planning on taking the Express to Marrakesh?  What's ridiculous about that?  Silly DC's.

Dreams in this post:   D:2 L:0 F:0

I am standing under a rock arch in a dense, dark forest.  As I watch, a big group of creatures come flying in from the distance.  As they approach the arch, the loop and land, organizing themselves in front of me.  Each is flying with the use of a glowing piece of plant or weed that resembles a broom.  There are two kinds of creatures; larger orangutan-like brown furry ones the size of very large men, and much smaller ones, about the size of a two or three year old child, also covered in brown fur.  All of them assemble before me, the larger creatures to my left and the smaller to my right.  They stand at attention, then lay their glowing broom-weeds out before them, all pointing at me.

The smaller creatures are each wearing a lanyard with an odd skull around their necks and something on their heads that looks like the protective cage of a fan.  The fan cages are removed and laid before each of them, followed by the skull necklace.

One of the larger creatures picks up the skull of the small creature next to it.  The small creature begins to voice a complaint, but the others around it nudge him and quiet him down.  The large creature first examines it, then begins swinging it back and forth by holding the lanyard and then he just starts swinging it in circles.  The little creature loses his temper and starts yelling at the larger creature; "That isn't how you use front-skull!  It is for protection!"

The large creature reaches behind the much smaller creature and picks up the complainer by the scruff of his neck.  He lifts the smaller one up to eye level, then brings the skull near his face.  He reaches out for it, but it is pulled away from him.  Then the large creature picks up the cage-like thing that it was wearing on its head and presses it over the small creature's face.
--

I am visiting a friend in a hospital ward.  We are talking quietly, but I can't help noticing a young nude woman across the ward who keeps staring at me.  She is not covered, and is writhing around on her bed while looking right at me.  I do my best to ignore her, as others don't seem to be taking notice.

Two large men approach her bed and remove their shirts.  One grabs her from behind and the other seizes her legs.  I jump up, but the lady I am visiting grasps my arm.  "She's being raped!" I say, but my companion says, "No.  She's not."  I return my attention to my friend, who says, "Just try to ignore the screaming."

We absorb ourselves in a book filled with odd medical diagrams as I try to ignore the screaming.

That first dream was very story like and quite interesting.  Too bad it ended so soon.

Shocked That second dreams sounds terrible!  So, she really was being raped even though your friend said otherwise?  Or why did the screaming continue?
