Welcome to Mortal Mist!  We're very glad you chose to come in and check out the place.

If I were asked to tell you one thing about Mortal Mist that makes it different from the other lucid dreaming communities, it would be the fact that we are member-owned.  What this means is that you, the member-owner, forever owns and controls anything you contribute to this place.  You can forever edit all your posts and delete most of them.  (The only exception is that you cannot delete the post that starts a thread if anybody else has contributed to it, because it deletes the whole thread.  That is a system limitation - but you can edit out the contents of a thread-starting post.)  You can also lock any thread you start.

The other implication of member-ownership is that this place is yours to do with as you see fit.  Anybody is welcome to do pretty much anything, so long as it relates to our purpose and focus of exploring and promoting lucid dreaming.  If you want to do it and are willing to be responsible for it, we'll make any arrangements within our ability to help you make it happen.  Our home is yours - to any extent you wish to make that so.

So pull up a DJ in either the public or private areas and settle in.  Thank you for being here.  I look forward meeting some new friends along the path of this odyssey we all share.
