Keep getting lucid by accident and then wasting the opportunity... Back to regular dreaming on Wednesday when my exams are over, so hopefully I can be a bit more productive then.

19th January 2014

I am in a car with my friends Darren and someone I don't recognise (but knew in the dream) and we are travelling to go and steal something from a rich Asian man. Darren is driving, and going far too fast, which makes me a bit uneasy. He is also playing a game on a Nintendo DS, which is taking some of his concentration. As he is going really fast, I suddenly spot a police car in front of us, and realise this can't be good news. Suddenly, the car we are in is replaced with a motorbike, which hits the back of the police car and we all go flying over the handlebars.

Darren gets arrested, but me and the other person get away. We make it to a motorway service station where we decide that we are both hungry, and get some food. We then realise we need a new form of transport. Luckily there is a rent-a-car here, and we arrange to get a new car to carry on with the mission. As we are driving to the rich guy's house, I start having doubts and second thoughts. If we get caught and go to prison my parents will be really upset with me. Somehow I manage to convince myself that we are professionals and we won't get caught, so I am determined to carry on with it.

When we get there, the scene changes slightly and we have to play some form of 2D puzzle game to get the item we are stealing. As we are trying to work it out, suddenly the Asian man appears and shouts at us, as he realises we are stealing from him. He joins in the game, and kicks our asses, before saying he is going to call the police. We leave the game and split, I run away as fast as I can. When I arrive at some sort of town, I realise that this whole situation is completely bizarre, so I do a reality check and realise that I was dreaming. I am suddenly filled with relief, as that criminal stuff was really worrying me. I walk around the town a bit but I'm not really sure what to do. I'm not sure if this dream ended here, but I don't recall anything else for the rest of the night.

Back to dreaming today. The last dream was probably one of my favourite non-lucids I've ever recorded, it was so great.

27th January 2014

I'm an off-duty police officer and I'm watching a paramedic who is escorting a heart ready for transplant to the nearest hospital. I notice an assailant somehow manage to inject the heart with HIV. I follow the assailant but he gets away, so I try to warn the paramedic. As soon as I tell him he doesn't act surprised, but instead tries to run away. I notice he was probably in on it, so I handcuff him.

---

I am in a old Victorian style mansion with a big group of people exploring. We are in a section which has 5 floors, however floors 1,2,3 are connected by one set of stairs, and 3,4,5 are connected by another. It also has a few more staircases and different passages which sum up to one great big multiple-floor maze. We all want to explore it, and I am made to believe that I have done it before so I know what I'm doing. I teach the others that we need to go in on floor 5, then head down to floor 3 to get some magic cube thing, then back down to 1, up to a different part of 3 so that you can get to the correct exit staircase back up to floor 5.

I try to guide people through as best as I can, but some people get lost and I can't find them. I wait outside for a bit before giving up. I spend some time admiring the estate, there is many acres of land and lots of cool trees and things to look at. I enjoy this for a bit and talk to someone about it, and then we go back to the house we were staying at, which to my surprise already has everyone in there so they must have found a way out somehow.

---

Walking through some tall grass with a few people when a grey and black leapord comes stalking towards us. It looks really cool so I ask someone what it is, and they say it's a baby snow leapoard. I don't remember them looking like that but I guess the babies look different, and this one seems pretty full size to me... Shortly after that a tiger comes along as well, and is walking straight towards me. I get a bit scared but assume it would probably run if it wanted to kill me, so it's probably ok. It brushes past me, and as it does I stroke it's fur. The tiger seems to like it, and we start playing and hugging. I have a load of fun playing with this big animal.

Like the house dream, the complexity of your thinking in regards to the different floors. Sounds like you had things well under control.

I also rarely think about them, no idea what sprung that idea into my mind. Can't believe I didn't RC either, I was genuinely quite concerned it would kill me.

It's truly fun to read your dreams!
You, along with some other members are such prolific dreamers.
I commend your efforts to get where you are....great job!

Oh stop it howitzer you make me blush

More non-lucids, I suppose this is expected after a short break. Hopefully the blue text will return tomorrow :)

28th January 2014

I am in a station with a DC I have recently met when we both see the train approaching. We run for it and she hops into the first carriage as the doors are closing. I am carrying some long poles so I try and stick them in first before climbing in, but the doors shut and the poles are only half-way in. I assume the doors will open again as something is stuck in them, but they do not and the train drives off. I think it causes some damage so I run away.

Later on I am reunited with the DC and we are in some trouble with the train guards. I try to explain it was all an accident but this one guard is a bit of a dick, and says he is going to get us into trouble. The dream skips forward a bit and now we have a vendetta against the train company. Me and the DC decide we're going to steal a train to payback for what they have done to us. We sneak into the train yard late at night and manage to steal a long train without much trouble.

All of a sudden, a load of superheroes and villains turn up to ruin our parade. Batman is here, and he starts to fight with the DC I am with. Meanwhile, I'm preoccupied with Bane. I manage to do a high karate kick to the back of his head, which dazes him a bit, but I still feel like I am outmatched in this fight. I try to run around a bit and be sneaky, as he seems quite slow and sluggish.

---

Fragment: A homeless woman is begging for money, and I have a sleeping bag in my hand so I offer her the bag so she can stay warm. She gets really angry and snaps at me telling me she only wants money. I assume it's for drugs or something and refuse, but still offer her the sleeping bag. She doesn't take it.

---

Fragment: Talking to my sister about what meditation is and why I do it. She doesn't seem particularly fussed and doesn't take much interest.

It's actually crazy hard to hijack a train IWL.. Tons and tons of emergency kill switches, safeties, lockouts, etc.

Pretty neat dream though. No idea how the superheroes and villains fit in, but that seemed like a pretty cool way to end it XD

The only way I'll offer anything to someone who appears to be homeless is if I've seen them for at least a week.. because there are too many panhandlers that are making more money than I am begging at the end of highway exit ramps. Maybe that's a negative outlook but.. it's also a sad reality. I hope your DC managed to stay warm.

Your meditation bit sounds a lot like what happens every time I try to talk to my dad about religion or meditation. Er.. actually any time I try to talk to almost anyone about either thing. *shrug*

I think unfortunately most of us grow up in a way that leaves us very close-minded to other religions, no matter what your background. Often what you intend as a simple discussion can be interpreted by others as you forcing your religion upon them. Some of the best people for actually listening surprisingly seem to be Christians, who will take what you say on board but then say they are perfectly happy with their current God and beliefs, which is fair enough I guess. Although I do genuinely think meditation can improve everybody's life whether you are religious or not.

On to the dreams, again no lucids last night, but I had a lot of alcohol so I'm surprised I even recalled anything. Feel like I'm losing my touch lately :sad1:

29th January 2014

I am staying at some sort of retreat with some people, a few of them I recognise from my Ultimate Frisbee team. We end up going to the zoo, where I notice an enclosure of rabbits that is full of weeds and not very appealing plants. I instinctively climb into the enclosure and start trying to do some weeding, which is difficult as I don't have any tools. I ask if anyone has gardening gloves but they don't, so I climb out in the hopes of looking for a tool shed. As I get out, I notice that I have a load of barbs sticking in my leg, they look like porcupine barbs. I pull them out because they are very painful, and then I walk off looking for the tool shed.

At this point I'm under the impression that I am official volunteer at the zoo, so I go around looking for the tool shed and wondering why I don't know where it is. I stop to ask someone who looks like a janitor, and he says he will take me too it. He jogs quickly there, almost running, and I struggle to keep up. When we get there we start going through all the tools, and I forgot what it was I came in for so I get a big rake instead. I make my way back to the rabbit enclosure and put the rake down for a second. I pick up one of the rabbits as I will have to transfer them somewhere else while I clean up their enclosure, however I change my mind as they probably won't disturb me, so I put it back and get to work.

Trying to cook fish in a George Foreman grill, someone comes over and tells me this is impossible you can only cook burgers in those grills. I tell them they are wrong but they won't listen. Eventually they go away and I am left to cook my fish in peace, which of course goes fine as I expected. (I think this dream is a subliminal message because I really need to use up the fish I have in the freezer.)

Don't worry man, you will get it back. I just went through the same thing. Almost a week with little to no recall. I think it might have a lot to do with both of our sleeping schedules being messed up. Maybe now might be a good time to experiment with some stuff considering that you have nothing to lose. Have you been using G/C and MILD? Maybe you could give some new foods a try? I am mid experiment right now and believe that almond butter has been giving me some good results. Regardless, keep your head up, you didn't get 50+ badges by accident, it will come back!

Haven't taken G/C in a while actually, would be a good idea to do that again. I'll give it a few days to see if I can get it to come back naturally, and if not it's supplements time :)

My old flatmate used to do it, works surprisingly well. I also knew someone who cooked a fish in a dishwasher once, just to prove it could be done. Bit weird though...

Well you got to a zoo maybe next time you can see the tiger again. :)

I quite enjoy dreams with animals in, let's hope this trend continues
