Interesting Note on Modifications
« on: April 29, 2008, 10:04:07 PM »
Each theme uses its own index.template.php file.  That means if changes are made to this file in a modification, these changes will not propagate to the other themes.  However, all of the other themes have an identical index.template.php file to the original.  So, instead of adding custom code to the modules to modify each index.template.php, the only thing that is needed is to modify the default and then copy and replace it to the other theme directories.

An astute and (now) accurate observation.

Seems that could all be scripted too... we could end up with a whole new paradigm for both SMF themes and modifications here.

Are you going to publish the themes you created?
What truly matters is not built of right and wrong; but of grace, and of love.

No, they are too much of direct rip-offs of the other themes for me to consider them original creations.
