I want one of those pens with a light built into it, but I enjoy journalling in pencil too much, and it would cost money :(

Went out last night, no recall.  Almost don't feel bad since I'm just lucky my hangover didn't prevent me from going to work.  I did however discovered that I had something fragment-like in the morning when I'm not really dreaming, but rather discussing things in my head with a voice.  And I became conscious of that after I wake... (its not lucid discussions or anything like that)

That has happened to me before where I'm conversing with some kind of voice or sound that is in my head. Even when I'm aware I find myself trying to connect my next dream to the one I just had. When you wake up do you forget upon wakening or after a while?

I actually don't remember.  I will pay attention more.  It seemed to me that it was me speaking to myself.  In a way discussing things out loud in a dreamlike state.  May be I was conversing with a DC.  Will deff try to recall the conversation next time.

Woke up with no recall.  Have a little fragment that came back to me while I was getting ready for work.

Fragment:

I am shoe shopping with my girlfriend.  We are at this weird shoe store and I am going against my will, I'm sure as many guys do when they go shoe sopping  :chuckle: . IWL my girlfriend invited me a couple of days later and I said no, and I guess now she found me and made me go in my dreams... I go to the shoe rack and I see 3 shoes that interest me.  I try them on and they don't fit well and for some reason I can't get a better size.  I don't remember much more but for some reason I think there was a flood after... Not sure... Stupid recall!!

--

Also had 200 mg of B6... I think that stuff doesn't work for me :(

Edit:  Oh and this is the shoe, only the leather was much darker, but still brown.  On the second thought there was another shoe that was sketchers and yesterday I saw a sketchers commercial where they claimed their shoes were stylish and relaxing and that is exactly the kind of shoe I saw.... But here is the first one:

With using vitamins and herbs as dream supplements, you'll find that they work over a period of time, not instantly, especially if you don't usually include them in your diet. I'd expect more vivid dreams perhaps after 2-3 days of taking B6 (remember, an hour before bed!). If you really want to ensure clarity take a pill of choline (either DMAE or Acetycholine) during a WBTB, too.

Good luck!

I'll call this a fragment.  It was more like a short dream, but it happened after I already woke up during the snoozing period.  It was so weird and shameful that I will not go into details. Lets just say that one of my female friends D was meeting me and my girlfriend for lunch and she was topless, and when my girlfriend was trying to cover her up, my girlfriend turned into my friend R.   :nonono:

Back in High School

My high school used to have 6 classes per day and I got to live through 3 periods.  I am a student.  My boss from work R is there and I frequently see him in the halls.  Every time I do I feel happy like I belong.  This is because I don't feel like I belong at work IWL. When I get to see R in my High School, I get to show him that I can fit in.  I show him that it is not necessarily my fault that we don't get along.

There is a hybrid DC who is two people at once.  S from high school and M from work.  They both have curly long hair and similar body type, so my SC probably put them all together as a bridge between work and high school.

I don't remember my first two classes, but my third period is Spanish II.  Its weird because I recall taking Italian 1 last year and I logically should be in Italian II. I talk to S (or M) about having to switch and she sends me to our accountant from work ( ???) to get that sorted out.

Overall I am left with a feeling that I miss the place.

--
For some reason I feel like my SC is telling me that high school was a comfortable place while my work isn't.  I wonder why it didn't do college.  It was a better (more fun) experience and it was more recent.  I apologize ahead of time, I will probably not be very active this week, since I have a lot of stuff to do at work, but I will still probably keep this journal up to date.

In dreams, I am far more often in high skewl or middle skewl than in college, for some reason.  Maybe those years had a deeper impact on my psyche?

First off,  - nice recall!

The more of everyone's dreams I read, the more it seems that school really messes with people.

I've been having graduation dreams.  Every time I secretly hope I've symbolically graduated from something. But no, dream high school is eternal.

Hey guys,

This week was hell, but I've survived! I've been getting lazy to write in the middle of the night esp. if I didn't have much to write about, so I only have two for this week.

April 5th, 2012

This one I will call a fragment.  I wrote notes in the middle of the night and didn't have time to write it out at work or in the morning, so it sort of went away when I got home from work.

--
I've been dieting lately, which pretty much prohibits me eating before bed.  I tend to have my last meal before 6-7pm, and then staying up until 12 makes for 5 waking hours of hunger.  Good time to RC?

Hunger

Nothing to eat.  Me and my girlfriend are out of the food coupons.... Yes, food coupons to get "normal food." (these are my notes)  We end up eating a bear, who was in our fridge for some reason...  ???

April 7th, 2012

This one I almost got lucid. And I really need some advice here...  :banghead:

Flight lessons

I'm teaching this blond cutie how to fly in lucid dreams.  I take her to a park where I think I've been flying before. (or so I think in my ream... really not sure) Its fall and there are orange leafs on the ground.  I tell her that in lucid dreams you can do anything like flying.  She looks interested, but doesn't say anything.  I tell her that you need to RC in order to know whether its a dream or not.  Then I tell her that I need to RC right now.  I know that we are not dreaming, I say, but I need to do it so that I remember to do it when I'm actually dreaming.  I pinch my nose and no air comes through.  Then I push my finger through my hand and it doesn't go in.  She looks weirded out but goes with it.  Then we arrive at the park and even though I think I'm not in a dream, I attempt to fly in order to show her how and its not working, then I wake.

--
I'm so fucking mad about my RCs being wrong.... Both of them... The reason I think is that IWL sometimes I pinch my nose not hard enough, if I am in public and some air still goes through, so may be it became sort of an ok reaction for me.  Also when I push a finger through my hand IWL  I don't always look down at my hands.  Like if I'm driving or in public...  :gaah:  :banghead:

Costly sir, I'm glad to see you made it to the weekend I was waiting to read your dreams :P

I as much as anyone know how frustrating it must have been to have a dream about lucid dreaming and still not get lucid off it. It always makes you feel stupid but it happens to me all the time, trust me.

What I would suggest is you seem to have your focus on the physical aspects of reality checking, rather than the mental. I'm not sure if I've said this before but it's worth taking note of again anyway: If you need to RC you need to be thinking in your head about whether the scene makes sense or not. The RC itself such as the nose pinch is a mechanic that will just prove your doubts if you have them, the important first step to lucid dreaming is to develop those doubts deliberately.

What you need to try from here on, is when you RC you need to think things like

"Ok...I pinched my nose for a few seconds, now I can't breathe... I'm not lucid."
"Ok...I pinched my nose for only a second before letting go, I need to try this again to make sure"
"Hmm...my RC didn't work. But am I dreaming, how did I get here, can I be sure this isn't a dream".

There is a lot of doubt in dreams, whereas IWL you will have zero doubts after RCing. Make sure that you are used to the differences by thinking carefully about why you RC, not whether the result is what you expected.

If you have more questions please ask them, because that dream is very very motivating, your mind is showing signs of wanting to lucid dream whilst you are asleep, it's time to reach out and grab :D

Agree.  I need to ask the question and really think about it...

I hate the nose-pinch RC; it has never worked for me, and I've seen it fail so many times in other peoples' dreams too.

I see what you mean.  I do the nose pinch only  because its the one that makes the most sense.  The easiest way to find out if i'm not dreaming.  I guess I need to find the one that would make it the easiest to find out that I AM in fact dreaming...

Remember what I said in my last post about getting frustrated over missed opportunities.  :P It's a part of the process. You should be happy when that happens. It just means you're getting real close. Just keep at it.

I'm not sure why the nose pinch RC didn't work for you, though. It's always worked pretty well for me. Except for once when I started doing them way too excessively, then it stopped working for a while. Now days my nose is always getting too stuffed up when I'm sleeping. Don't know what's up with that. There were times I didn't want to believe what it was telling me either. That's why having a secondary RC is always a good idea. I think maybe the finger through hand RC works well for me is because I never do it when awake.  I could be wrong, but I think maybe the reason that one fails for people is because they don't try hard enough to push it through. I push really hard when I do it sometimes.  Remember, you can push your finger, or entire hand and arm through anything. Not just the palm of your hand. Walls, objects, anything. I put my thumb through my tongue in my last Lucid lol. When you get Lucid you should experiment with doing different RC's to see how they feel to you in your dreams. That will help make it easier the next time.
Everyone finds different things that work for them.

I pretty much only do watch RCs when awake now days, even though I can rarely remember to do that one in dreams for some odd reason.  :?
