Sara's werkboekje

(1/1)

Sara:
Dreams in April:

Dreams:  44
Fragments:  9
Lucids: 6

Per day:

Dreams: 1,47
Fragments: 0,3
Lucids: 0,2

In April, I skipped some days of recording dreams and all lucids were in the first half of the month.

Sara:
What I already did:

Set the alarm at 3:30 AM, go over the last dream and and try to remember the dream by remembering keywords.

What I'll try the coming week, to improve recall (as long as I sleep alone)

Mnemonic based techniques:
When I have the idea I have no recall at all: Free form association the next day to trigger recall

Note taking based techniques:
Keep my journal on MM open, so I can write down dreams during the night to prevent forgetting details.

Sleep interruption, technology based techniques:
Set my alarm after 6 hours of sleep

Affirmation, intention based techniques:
Think about dreaming often while awake

Sara:
My Dreamsigns:

Without going through my DJ, I know a lot of my typical dream signs:

People / Animals
Horses (hard to RC on, I am around horses every day)
 - more specific: injured or sick horses

Family, mostly my mum, less my sister and father (see them only once a month, but much more often in dreams)
They are usually 'just around' so I'm not alone in my dream.

My BF Tobby
 - more specific: him having a new job

Colored animals (blue cats, golden birds and nice colors in general)

The critical girl (a girl that always criticises me, especially in the horse-dreams)

The small girl (an 18 yo girl I know IRL, who is very small)

Moonbeam (she shows up every now and then, mostly she looks young and very beautiful)

Places
My parents house (where I grew up)
 - more specific: sometimes it looks different of has 'secret chambers'. Often: sitting at the dinner table

TRAINS (ff-ing trains... at least once a week I spend some dream-time in a train. And there's often problems involved, like missing a stop and the train looks either very luxurious or really broken)

Objects

Doors that won't close (e.g.: doors are too small or too big, locks don't work or doors are completely absent)

Text disappears or changes (articles in news paper or magazine are gone, prices of items change)

Toilets / Bathrooms (often together with absent or non-closing doors or very dirty)

Showers (apart from bathroom, cause the shower has often a positive feeling of warmth and relaxation)

Cars with non-functioning brakes (haven't had these in a while, but they were very very common for me)

Activities

Pulling myself forward on grass (ok, this is a weird one... you know it's often hard to run in dreams, so I found a technique where I pull myself forward with my hands. Can work on sand/dirt as well.)

Forgetting (forget my bag, my keys, which class I should go to, which train I have to catch... just like RL :P)
