I saw Kingsman when it was in the theater in 4D! Lol.
It was a memorable experience because I had never seen 4D before and was kind of looking forward to seeing what it was like. And then sitting there waiting for the movie to start I had realized I forgot to get my 3D glasses. So I went out to the lobby and asked them for the glasses.
They give me a funny look thinking I'm weird, I can tell. And they explain to me that the movie isn't 3D it's 4D. And there is no need for 3D glasses. Then me. Standing there confused trying to understand how a movie could be 4D with no 3D. Makes no sense at all. Then walking away I hear them laughing because they think I'm so strange thinking the movie should be in 3D.
Then the movie starts and it's on a flat screen and the only reason it's called 4D is because they shake my chair around (Annoyingly) and blow air in my face once in a while. But the movie on the screen is flat 2D.
So, to this day I'm still confused how a movie could be called 4D with no 3D just because they shake your chair around and blow wind in your face. And if that is all 4D means, I think 4D is pretty stupid.
However, it's a great solution for someone that has trouble staying awake in a movie. Just start shaking their chair all about every so often ha ha.
I mean isn't it logical to think that 4D would be a 3D movie with the added element of the chair shaking and wind blowing to make it be called 4D?
