I do use glasses, but never tried the eyeglasses RC. That's a great suggestion!
The nose pinch has been my most used and most successful, though it has failed me a few times.
Hi PJ and everyone,
Thanks! I'm glad I could contribute something useful. Let me know if it works for you. I'm doing this RC every hour or so, and am hoping I perform it in a dream. Since I have NEVER performed a RC in a dream, I am not sure if this would work. I am fairly certain it will because I've personally worn glasses since I was 5 years old, and at times feel like my glasses are a part of my body.
Since I've been trying this reality check I modified it a bit to be a little faster.
What I do is I ask myself if I am dreaming, then I look for something relatively medium to small size (this will of course depend on your correction, I have -5 Diopters) such a bathroom sign, street sign, freeway sign -when stuck in traffic, or DVD boxes (these are the things I see in my dreams sometimes). I first look at it with the correction so that I could see it clearly, then I tilt my head down and peer through the top of my glasses - so that I don't have to remove them - and view the image when its blurry and indistinguishable and, then finally look through the correction again to see the image clearly. I am hoping this is combining two RC's in one - the correction aspect, as well as the reading aspect (street signs and bathroom signs are especially dynamic in my dreams). If this needs clarification let me know.
Oneironaught realized that this RC could also theoretically be modified to be completed with sunglasses, since he wears them on a regular basis. In addition to that factor, I think the sunglasses RC would probably be similar to the lightswitch RC, since its been said we can't readily modify illumination levels in our dreams (again I can't confirm that since I personally have never had a LD).
Since all of you here have experienced LD and have attempted RC in dreams, please let me know if you have actually successfully become lucid after a glasses RC. I have a good feeling I personally will be successful with this. Hopefully you guys will too.
Thank you,
Chris
