Countless variations and combinations of well-known techniques—from meditation to use of substances; from creating simple mental associations, to maintaining constant awareness of the possibility that one may presently be dreaming—have the potential to cause one to suddenly find oneself in the midst of an astonishingly delightful realization..

This can hardly be compared to anything else at all, and whatever path is chosen, and however it is that one arrives, it is not likely to ever be forgotten (or described satisfactorily..)
A selection of both known and original methods is given in the menu above, listed roughly in order of difficulty. However, particular methods may come more naturally to some than others, and experimentation is never futile, as simply thinking and talking about lucidity can have a profound effect on its likelihood. Thus the greatest source of lucid-wisdom lies in discussion with those who have achieved it, and it flows with abundance in our forum. In the editor's opinion, developing a "feel" for lucidity by getting inside the minds of its masters, and devising one's own techniques, is a sure and fascinating journey.
