Live Concerts Listing
« on: March 21, 2020, 11:08:08 AM »
A lot of performers are offering live online concerts over the next couple of weeks. Any concert or public performance, anywhere in the world. Find one? Share up by dropping a link to the event info here. I could use some live, free music.  Music is medicine.

I ended up missing the concert as well. I think this was the night that the local shut down happened and the whole community was either in a panic or agitated.

Not live, but METALLICA MONDAYS!  :eddie:
On Metallica's youtube and facebook they're showing concert footage every Monday at 8pm est.

Thanks. I was just thinking if any old metal bands would do something it would be pretty cool. I'll try and check it out and see what they put up. I'm interested to see what shows they consider memorable. I'm not familiar with that new bass player but I did see one live video on Youtube that he was playing with them in and they were doing a tribute to Cliff Burton and playing Orion.

She didn't broadcast for long. She sang two songs, showed a short prerecorded video of herself telling silly jokes. Showed a new music video of a song of what I assume is from her newest album. It was cool though. She sat by herself in front of the camera in a chair and with a guitar. Felt kind of real, as if you were hanging out and she just picked up a guitar and started messing around. Would have liked to of seen her play a couple more songs though.

Watching Metallica Monday live.

Here is the youtube link. Nearly thirty two thousand people watching, wow.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6esCKTJoM4M

Playing a song I never heard before, at the moment. But I'm not familiar with their newer stuff at all. Heck, I don't think I'm familiar with much after "And Justice For All."  I don't even know the name of the album after that one. Have say, I'm not keen on the song they are playing right now, I don't know the name but sounds kind of weak.

Now playing "For Whom The Bell Tolls." Nice, that one is always going to be good, classic.

"Unforgiven" Sounds really good live.

"Moth Into The Flame" Never heard it before, I like it.

"Harvester Of Sorrow" Awesome.

"Sanitarium!"

Really cool guitar and bass solo together, never saw anyone do that before. Wow, new bass player takes it into Cliff Burtons classic bass solo. "Anesthesia Pulling Teeth."

"Kill Em All" song, couldn't remember the name of it.

"Sad But True" Kirk is playing on that black Rhoads Jackson I always loved as a teen, and inspired me to buy mine. Mine is nicer though, lol. I'm not lying, see, here is a photo. I wouldn't trade it for any other guitar on the planet.

"One!"

"Master Of Puppets!"

"Fade To Black." I was hoping that was coming.

"Seek And Destroy."

Encore:

 "Battery!"

"Nothing Else Matters" Nice

"Enter Sand Man" Dreaming song, cool. Must be the last song then. Like saying good night.

Well that was fun. Like traveling back in time to my childhood for a little bit.

Oh, bummer. I never heard of that song. That must have been before I tuned in, or maybe what they were playing when I started watching. I almost forgot about it actually. Then I was like "Oh shit it's Monday." I wasn't exactly sure about the time zone but I looked and they were playing. There was another song I didn't mention, I don't know what it was. In the middle of the song they brought out these giant drums and they were all pounding away on the drums like a full band drum solo for a while, no guitars.  It was kind of cool.

The drum thing sounds awesome! I wish I could have seen that.

Apparently there was the One World: Together at Home Concert tonight. I'd heard of it but, and I hate to admit it because it was for a good cause, I don't care to listen to any of those artists. I really dislike that I can't get into most of the music today. There were likely some amazing performances but I still didn't care to tune in. I think that's a sign of the onset of Grumpy Old Codger syndrome.
