Luminous, a semi-advanced question for you:
I recalled the events that happened in the lucid I had involving the bathroom/mirror scene perfectly. However, my question pertains to fine details within that lucid. I remember being in the bathroom lucid, briefly surveying my surroundings, seeing all manner of objects for example on/around the bathroom sink. Yet, when I woke up I could not tell you a single one of those objects were. As you master your recall, are you able to recall the small intricacies like these without sitting there and closely examining each object? When I looked at them, I just briefly drew my gaze over them and did not really take note of them, as I was focused on completing and accurately describing the intermediate challenge of the month. I imagine if my goal was to remember each object , look them over closely and mentally go over them, I would - but my question to you is with having your recall in tip top shape, are you able to recall details like these without specifically making that your goal? My lucids seem to always have a center of focus, and whatever goes on within that my recall is dead on, but with things outside of that...they pretty much just blend in
Thanks for your time
If I have no interest in the object when I'm lucid, then I probably won't remember what it looked like after waking up. If I remember seeing such an object, I might be able to remember what it was by asking myself questions about the objects to trigger my memories. Questions like this would be:
-What color was the object?
-How big was it?
-What was it shaped like? Round, square, ect.
-Did I touch it?
-Was it as solid or soft object? Would it shatter if I dropped it?
This will actually be covered in a future workshop topic.
