Armored Bore's Workbook
« on: June 05, 2009, 12:07:38 AM »
Participants, please go ahead and create your workbooks. When you have done so, please answer these questions and post them in it:

-How many dreams do you remember a week on average?

-How many hours of sleep do you get a night on average? You can separate workdays/school days from days off.

-How do you wake up in the morning? (Alarm clock, someone awakens you, or other means)

-Do you consider yourself a light or a heavy sleeper?

-Only a few these days (~3-5)

-6 on a bad day, 7-8 on a workday, up to 10 on the weekends

-An alarm on my cell phone when I need to go to work, whatever happens on weekends

-I seem to fall right back asleep if there's nothing to keep me awake, so I'd say I'm a more heavy than light sleeper

Since I made some progress in my regular journal ("progress" used in the very loosest definition...), I guess I'll post a copy here.

A huge hodgepodge of unsorted images today, which I can probably blame on sleeping for 10 hours. It got interrupted half-way when I woke up earlier in the morning and fell back asleep, but it was still just a parade of meaningless images. I'm sure there are David Lynch movies that make more sense.

Not to say I didn't get some enjoyment out of it. When I wasn't getting blamed for missing a date with a friend, I was happily busy buying a whole new set of equipment for my World of Warcraft paladin with a new credit card. At least, I thought it was new in the dream since I didn't recognize the card number... well, it's not that I "didn't recognize" it. I was more confused by how it had groups of five digits as opposed to the usual four.

At the very least, I'm dreaming again. Still, it figures that as soon as I start doing reality checks at my dream cues, which appear to be everyday life, I start getting totally different content to watch out for. Just great. Now I have to be on the lookout for overgrown department stores riddled with confetti versions of Bouncing Betty mines, as well as regular department stores. >:(

I was in some window-less, dimly lit, and apparently infinitely high skyscraper. I forget why I was there or even how I got there in the first place. All that seemed to matter was the army of monsters that seemed to populate the place, including some monstrous talking turtle that ate my partner(??) when he got within it's mouth-tentacle range.

I suppose I blame a WoW marathon and 10 hours of sleep on this one.

I'm not sure how I got into the situation, but I was fighting in a skirmish that apparently took place in my old back yard. I was forced to hide under some dense foliage, just yards from someone intent on killing me. They almost did when some kid stumbled upon me and asked to hide with me, but we somehow evaded detection.

I blacked out for a while and woke up feeling like I'd been asleep for a longer period than a human could survive. I was awoken by some angry old lady with a shotgun. I can't recall clearly why she did, but when she placed her gun on the ground I felt a distinct and strong urge to seize it and defend myself, which I was able to successfully do. I woke up threatening her to back off, not able to rise to my feet and retreat myself.
