Regarding RCs and dream signs
« on: July 15, 2012, 05:26:53 AM »
Maybe this has been asked before, but I couldn't really find a suitable topic for it.

On some places I read that MILD is about recognizing your dream signs, and when you do, do an RC.
On the other hand I just try to do RCs in waking life as much as I can remind myself to do them.

The thing is, in my dreams I hardly have anything that I could call a dream sign. Unless well-known places are included to that.
For example, I dream about school a lot. But the schools in my dreams are always different in the way the 'were' built.
But how can I use this as a dream sign? In my opinion it is just way too common for me. When (only because it's vacation now, I'm not at school) I'm back there I could do RCs all the time, but then it would just be the same routine as I am already doing with doing RCs as often as I can.
So how important are these dream signs?
Could it still be called MILD when I'm not really focussing on these things?

I hope it's a little bit clear what I'm trying to say here.
"Why surely madam, you must be dreaming.
You couldn't have done this if you knew what you were doing!"

If you don't have any dream signs, use doors. If you enter or exit a room, do so consciously. When your hand touches the door handle you should look around you and see if things look normal or how normal you feel. If your starting out you should use the door trick while checking your watch, then a second time to see if any changes. I have got this technique so down that i'm a "when wanted" natural lucid dreamer. If you go anywhere in your dreams you will find doors, you will always RC, and you will always get lucid. I simply have to care about lucid dreaming to lucid dream now. I have suggested this technique in a grander form before which has kind of gone under the radar and to be honest and simple, doors are the only thing you need. It takes a while to get used to but when your used to it, you now have a "DreamSign" that is always in dreams, and always in waking life in abundance. It takes about 2 weeks to start seeping into dreams but once it starts you only need foster it and you will eventually be able to do it so naturally and so automatically it takes no effort anymore and you will be able to get lucid in waking life and in dreams around every doorway, door and archway without even thinking about it.  ;)

That's quite a good idea! I'll try to implement that in my RC-routine. :D
