Wake induced sleep paralysis (WISP)
« on: November 20, 2013, 05:50:53 PM »
If you Google "sleep paralysis induction" you'll find many descriptions of techniques, such as these:

http://voices.yahoo.com/how-induce-sleep-paralysis-four-easy-steps-6584096.html?cat=5

http://www.wikihow.com/Induce-Sleep-Paralysis

http://paralytics.wikia.com/wiki/How_to_Induce_Sleep_Paralysis

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread956639/pg1

Probably the techniques are essentially the same as WILD methods. But some might be different. If so, it could be worthwhile to try some of them.
In the secret space of dreams
Where I dreaming lay amazed
When the secrets all are told
And the petals all unfold
When there was no dream of mine
You dreamed of me.

Interesting, but really it's all variations of the same thing.

Probably.

For all these years, I've resisted doing "real" WBTB's.  However, when I actually do get up for 30 minutes or an hour, then go back to bed, it works so much better.

Don't really like to get up for that long, either. Bad enough to go for 5 or 10 minutes.

So I have officially changed my lazy WBTB method to the recommended way.

What was your lazy WBTB method and what is the recommended way? I find it seems to be quite different for different people, for example I rarely stay awake longer than 5 mins in my WBTB but I know some people swear by a 30-45 minute minimum, but it works fine for both me and them.
Current Challenges:
-Garden of Eden
-Meditate in a LD
-more

I never stayed awake for longer than the time it takes to go to the bathroom.  I think the recommended time is like an hour.  If the shorter time works for you, that's great.  I feel a difference if I stay up long enough to really wake up.  I don't know why it took me 7 years to really try it.

Good way to catch up on reading, anyway.
