Tweetabilities
« on: December 18, 2013, 04:36:09 AM »
I see an envelope on the table and open it, I read clearly. It says : Inside of the trunk of this sports car is A BRAND NEW COMPUTER!!!!! YOU WON!!! I started asking around my family which car this was found on and no one remembers, I realize that it could only be between my brothers or my grandfathers car.

I realize I have to pee. I go to one bathroom and it is occupied, I go to another bathroom and it is also occupied. I go back to the first bathroom and someone else is in it. Something doesn't seem quite right, am I dreaming? I decide to try a reality check (plug my nose and close my mouth, if I can still breathe than this is a dream)

It comes back positive...I'm dreaming!!!  I decided to fly out the window and soar over San Francisco like my friend did in her lucid dream a few days ago.

I triple check with my reality check, to make sure that I am in fact dreaming (it was unnervingly life like and I did not want to accidentally kill myself by jumping out a window.) I open the window and put my foot on the window sill. I turn to my brothers who are standing there and say to one. "I'm going to jump out the window and I'm probably going to die" he looks incredulous, like I am crazy but then he says "SO!?!?" like I am wasting his time laughing to myself, I back up, then jump out the window, free falling two stories before I take off, flying over the rooftops.

There are huge robotic people in the some of the streets, like transformers with really long pikes. The try to poke at me as I fly byTelekinesis is not really working so I focus, I point at one and he squishes into the ground like a huge invisible mallet just hit him. I laugh at this and make it into the city.

I soar between the sky scrapers, finally making it to the ocean. I fly through Pier 39, barely making it over the railing as I zoom over the surface of the gray ocean. I skim the top of the water, making it spray as I touch it and dodge the rolling watery waves as it gets more and more choppy. I circle back and end up on another pier. It is like a mix of china town and the piers. Huge golden statuettes amazing smelling food-stands full of steaming seafood.

I wander around and end up next to what looks like a huge jacuzzi and an old sailor. I float up so I can see into the tub. There is a HUGE yellow/gold sea horse. He tells me that it is a kid ride and I probably wouldn't be interested. I float over and land on the sea horses back, the guy laughs and pulls a lever that makes the water in the jacuzzi start flowing back, pushing us. The sea horse (which is tied by a halter to the front of the wooden tub) starts to swim forward against the current to keep slack in the halter. The water gets faster and soon the sea horse is practically galloping forward with me on its back (it was really fun!) I focused on the detail of the skin of the sea horse and the back of its head and was really impressed with the realistic quality of it.

I was suddenly awake, no fading at all.

I don't recall becoming lucid, but I am in a file room with a tall bald man. It seems I am doing a background check on a person and this man is looking up his information but he rightfully suspects me of not having proper credentials. The man is opening one of the drawers of the many many file cabinets. I run at him and he cringes, but I leap frog over him and out the window. Just as I pass him I realized I should have stopped and talked to him, asked him as part of the dream to give me a suggestion for something to do, but I dismiss it immediately...flying is just too much fun. I free fall out of a sky scraper and take off.

The feeling in my body is so exquisitely glorious. To be so incredibly free........... there is nothing else like it in the world. I do a front flip to be on my back and fall again on purpose. The cold air is so loud in my ears, the rush of adrenaline not seeing the ground speeding towards me, my body feeling suspended and at the same time pulled as I plummet towards the roofs of the city.

I turn over at the last moment, pulling back and softly landing on my feet  on an apartment building. I sink into a cross legged position. I remember reading a forum about meditating in-dream to increase length and I do.

I focus on the details around me, inspecting the horizon, listening for DC's feeling the sunlight on my back, feeling my entire body, taking up the space that it was. I completely calmed myself down and let go of the expectations I had. I was just happy to be there, running my fingers over the rough pebbled surface of the roof.

I stood back up and stretched, just for the enjoyment of feeling my dream body. It's hard to relate the feeling of euphoria I had. I slowly drifted up. I thought about my goals, but I dismissed the thought. This was vacation for me. I closed my eyes and slowly drifted up and up and up. The air blowing fitful gusts at me. I opened my eyes, and found myself inside of the skyscraper again, the bald man gone. I smiled and used TK to open every single drawer in the room. I used airbending, and caused a tornado of papers as I chaotically destroyed the filing system. It was so much FUN!

I knew from the very beginning of the dream that it wasn't real, that I was asleep in my bed right then.

I was in some sort of documentary about Egyptian explorers. I could hear the reporter talking about how the archaeologists thought they had discovered the tombs of the actual Egyptian gods. He speculated that the gods were buried after they had turned evil and tried to destroy mankind. I could see several explorers hauling on ropes, pulling a giant sandstone cover off of what appeared to be a huge well. I wander into the well and come upon some ancient Egyptian soldiers wandering around.

They spoke to one another, apparently the smallest of them was a prince, he had to clear out the ruins while searching for a stone that would free more of their kind to make a name for himself and earn his title. He was being escorted by the two others, then my consciousness went into the prince in a way and I became him. I turned around and ran from the guards wanting to explore more. There was a normal looking door, so I opened it and found myself outside of a normal building by a green park.

Strangely, a rooster approached me. It had the most beautiful coloring, a rainbow of hues and almost lit from within, I gave up flying and landed, just to look at the beautiful bird with fierce eyes. It turned slightly and I stroked down it's neck plumage, soft and smooth as silk. I felt a steady electric vibe through my hand to my body, it filled me with warmth and pleasure and energy, I felt like it was imbuing me with it's light.

Suddenly, it felt like I was shocked with electricity making me gasp and wake up in an instant

I am with my family and they have made me very angry. Something to do with feminism I believe. In a little while I realize my family would never be so incredibly ignorant and rude and I realize it is a dream,

I look and there are several butterflies fluttering around. I try to catch a few, I had just missed a beautiful dark green butterfly when I notice a large teal one coming at me. It is fluttering awkwardly as if both of it's wings were damaged, I go to it quickly putting down my hand for it to climb up on. I am surprised by it's weight and the feeling of it's strange sucker like feet.
"Hello" I say. In response it makes a noise between a squeak and a quiet screech. I say, "do you understand me?" and it makes the same noise again. I look up and say "Dream. Please let me understand this butterfly."

Nothing happens, I look back to the large butterfly and ask "Hello?"
"Hello" It answers in a thin wavering voice. It's mouth opening much more largely than it should have, making me compare it to a frog's.
"What is your name?" I ask. It answers clearly
"Tango, what is yours?" I am shocked that it asks since no one in a dream has ever needed to. I ask why he came to me. He says "so I can show you this" and flew off my hand "would you like me to change?" he asks. I am really starting to love this character. I excitedly say yes. The butterfly begins to spin in the air. I watch very carefully.

The silt begins to drop off his wings and each speck bursts into a white light. More and more start to fall from the wings until I realize that the entire butterfly is disintegrating. The white flashes become blinding but I keep watching. Until there seems to be a small implosion, and I cringe in reflex.

I look back up as a curtain of the white sparks fall slowly to reveal a large bird! Shaped like a mix between a pelican and an egret, the beak is the same teal as the butterfly was, fading down the neck to white leaving the body of the bird completely white down to the feet. The wings were different though. Each major feather came out a different vibrant color the tops being Maroon and the bottom three being green, teal, and white as it meets the white body. It stretches it's wings shuddering with the feeling of it. It flaps it's wings as they extend for the first time.

Far away Tango seems 64-bit, he shakes out his large neck then looks at me,

"would you like to fly?" he asks in a much deeper voice, he starts to run over the ground with his wings outstretched looking ungainly and awkward, but not embarrassed at all.

I hook his wing as he runs past me, swinging up onto his back laughing in excitement. He is even larger than I thought previously. And he loses his 64-bit-ness. As I am marveling at the realness and textures of his neck feathers he suddenly takes off into the sky. I am pressed flat against his back with the force of his up-lift.

The flight is glorious. In more than one instance I was hanging onto his wing shoulders with both hands as my body lifted off his back from the sheer speed of the flight. Inexplicably the sky is filled with hot air balloons from our take off and we fly up between them. At one point i dive from Tango's back, hearing him gasp. I land on top of one of the balloons, bouncing off of it like a trampoline and onto the next and then the next, hearing the startled yells of the people in the baskets hanging underneath as they suddenly lose altitude. So much fun! I was suddenly out of reach of any balloons and was tumbling through the air. I flip over onto my back enjoying the free fall and the tingles of fear from not watching my descent as I plummet.

I see Tango catch up and dive below me, I touch down on his back the way a leaf lands on the still surface of a pond, and he flies back up, again pinning me to his back with the gravity of his ascent. "Don't do that!" he yells at me. I consider telling him this is a dream but I don't want to risk insulting him. I turn over and hug his neck, suddenly feeling very affectionate for my butterfly-bird.

This might benefit from editing, if it's chosen to be posted I give full permission to chop it up.

I am wandering around a supermarket shopping, when I become lucid for no reason. I immediately rush outside. There are turtles as fast as and as large as dogs in a field that scatter as I get close. I sit in the grass, and just breathe.

To my surprise a group of people appear, and they lead inside a nearby building, apparently they new I was a dreamer, and they wanted me to have a battle with another dreamer. Another group of people bring in another person, It is obviously the Dreamer I'm supposed to fight

She is very short, but despite her stature, she dominates the room. She has a mane of frizzy black hair, bookish, dark, square glasses, and bright brown eyes. Her stance was cocky, but her smile was friendly and open. All she said was something like "let's fight" and started toward the door. As she takes up position I feel a jolt of excitement and anticipation.

Testing my ability, I concentrate on ice and let my mental energy flow around me, I concentrate on dampening the molecules of air, slowing them down to below freezing levels. I fire the two ice balls bringing my hands together and thrusting them forward, when it hit the mirror it stuck and then slowly sank into the reflective surface, the power being absorbed safely into the walls. She takes a stance and I know it's time for the fight to begin

She fires up red flames around her hands, she's so much faster than I. I spin hard, deflecting a fireball with a flurry of air, feeling the singe of hot air as it barely misses. I drop down, pulling dark energy from deep within I clap my hands together and slide my wrists past each other. small balls of dark energy spiral out and zoom at her, She manages to throw water balls in quick succession, extinguish most dark energy balls. She dodged another one, but two found their mark, hitting her in the shoulder and abdomen.

She cried out in pain, the force of the blasts spinning her in an almost complete circle as she went to her knees. I hesitated, watching her, but she did not. She was already preparing a fire attack, I started a water shield to counter when, with a twist of her arms and a sweeping leg, changed the attack to an ice one. She fired a wall of icicles at me. Just in time I dropped to a knee, and with a massive uppercut motion a wall of steel rose out of the ground shaped like the bow of a ship. With several THUNKS I heard the icicles shatter against the steel uselessly. Taking a power stance I start to fire off thick discs of steel with telekinesis, breaking down my barrier while using it as an attack. She drew light to her, not in the uniform circular shape, but they were like arrows or small spears.

A few discs did make it through though. And grunts of pain marked when they hit her. When I ran out, she fired spiraled dark energy and I fired an ice ball, but not to absorb the attack, it went through the middle and hit her square in the chest. I dodged some of her attack, and caught the rest with my nearly bare hands.

...she was frozen! Of course! I hit her with the ice! I plant my feet and push a deluge of energy into the ground, it rises, engulfing her in a tight casing of earth. I know I don't have long. I heal my hands in a cool bathing of soft white light, and then pre-charge several attacks, glistening balls of light, and ice hanging serenely in the air, waiting for me to affect them. A single crack appeared in the earth...and that was my only warning. A massive explosion made me feel stupid. I should have seen this coming. I used the luckily prepared ice and wrapped it around myself, it was slammed into with bits of earth shrapnel and then an inferno of fire blasted at me. The hiss of the ice evaporating was loud in my ears and I had to use all of my backed up energy to protect myself.

There was a moment of calm as the fire stopped  and my melting ice cracked uselessly to the ground. I looked up. She had a sword, no idea where it came from. It was a large, ridiculously ornate thing, like something out of Final Fantasy. It was crackling with an infusion of electricity. The room seemed to grow larger.

She was smiling, I tried to draw a sword...and...failed. I couldn't make one appear. She attacked. I dodged and retreated, floating, flying, falling unceremoniously as I floundered to avoid her singing blade. I frantically failed to summon a sword over and over.

Then she got me, I was maneuvered into a corner,  The mirrors disoriented me and when I bumped into it she swept her sword around slicing my thigh horizontally my body wracked with the pains of electrocution. I fell to my knee, and with the same uppercut motion I brought up another steel wall, just in time as the deadly blade was swung overhead for a killing blow. As I was in the corner I had a safe nook...for the moment. I could already hear the twangs of her slicing at the barrier. I take the time to heal my thigh in the same way I healed my hands. I took a breath sitting down, I rub my hands and pat my body again to keep the dream stable and clear, enjoying the dream to much too let it slip.

I feel, more than hear, a thrum in the air as the steel of my shelter became electrified with the constant attacks of the electric sword. I look at the mirror, creepily showing the reflection of the steel, but not of me. I was irked that I could make a steel wall without a problem but not a sword. I thought about breaking off a chunk of steel to carve a sword out of it physically but was afraid of the electricity, when inspiration struck. Why not use the mirror? I reached into the mirror, fingers sinking into the cold liquid of the mirror wall.

I felt around where is it...where is it...Yes! my fingers wrapped around an equally cold but hard, solid, chunk of something a sword I promise myself. I withdraw it...and it is!

a gleaming plain short sword was in my hand. the handle and blade were the same material. Standing I lightly poked the wall of my steel barrier and the entire thing liquefied, splashing down in a waterfall of droplets, I felt myself grin.

We locked into a sword fight, her larger slower blade much more powerful and dangerous than mine, but I had a free hand to throw fireballs and dark matter balls at her several times. I saw an opportunity and lunged, she blocked me expertly but I was close, too close to avoid, I spun inwards risking getting sliced and put my hand flat against her chest. I blasted her full force with my favorite dark energy, the balls not even fully separating, just exploding against her and throwing her back into the wall so hard it made a deep vibrating tone, like a big bell being rung. And she collapsed to the ground, still, miraculously, holding onto her blade.

The match was obviously over, but she kept swinging at me if I tried to get close, I used Telekinesis to pin her down and separated her sword from her hand. It dissolved the moment it left her hand, melting into the ground. Neat.

I start to heal her I manage to get out a thank you, and an invitation to fight again before I wake up naturally.

I wake up, my dreaded cold making me very uncomfortable and exhausted, I lay there miserable with my eyes closed. After a little while I feel kind of strange and floaty. I lift my arm up and know that it is not really my arm, I feel ghostly as I get up. "This is a dream" I tell myself.

It is sunny outside, and I see a giant green leafy bean stalk sprouting into the clouds. I immediately decide to climb it. The bottom of the stalk is a HUMONGOUS tree. But it turns into a stalk further up. I start pulling and jumping up the branches as they become springy bean stalk leaves. I grab the stalk and it's texture is like a ceder tree, soft and fibery, except it is green and when I grip it green juice comes out and runs over my hands. It smells pleasant, like freshly cut grass.

I use my hands and arms to climb the side of the stalk but my arms are starting to get sore and my feet keep slipping. I pass up a strange doll face in a knot in the stalk, and also a large yellow python snoozing on the leaves. I finally decide to take a rest. Sitting in the groove where a leaf stem meets the stalk is Clayface the Goblin from "The 10th Kingdom" (for those of you who don't know, there are giant beanstalks in that movie, prisoners are given beanstalk soup to eat and beanstalk juice to drink, and it tastes aweful, clay face looks human except for a greenish tint and many large warts on his face) He is eating out of a bowl, grinning I ask "What are you eating" "beanstalk soup" he answers "what are you drinking?" I ask, even though I see no tankard "beanstalk juice" he answers. "Why? can't you go eat something else now?" I ask "Yeah," he answers "but then I'd have to get down!"

"Hey!?" I get the inspiration to ask "what is an easier way to climb this beanstalk?" Suddenly from another leaf, partway around the stalk another prisoner pokes his head around "There is no easier way to climb it!" he says like I am stupid "no, come on, that's not true" Argues Clayface "It's gravity, nothing you can do about gravity" says the prisoner. "I bet she could" he says gesturing at me "this is her dream you know" "Nooon-sense" cries the prisoner as he goes back to his leaf. "Thanks Clayface" I say grinning  and I continue to climb my stalk

Now while I climb I concentrate on getting my feet underneath me, and I imagine the world on it's side, gravity making the bean stalk down, the sky in front of me, and the ground at my back. It works surprisingly easily! I run along the side of the beanstalk, It is getting thinner and thinner, and beginning to bounce with my feet. But I can see the cloud line now as I approach it, I stop just before the misty white wall, the beanstalk now so thin beneath me that it is bent down under my weight. I lay down on the stalk holding on, and with a little concentration, gravity rightens itself again.

I continue to climb through the clouds, It is really cold. I start trying to imagine what it will be like when I try to walk on the clouds and if there will be giants up there. and almost immediately I start to hear great stomping in the sky above me. Slow steady half-muted thumps and I know that there are giants. Disappointingly I get to the end of the beanstalk still underneath the cloud tops. the rest of it curling down and spiraling.

Desparately I launch myself from the top of the stalk and try to fly the rest of the way, but in the murky cold featureless clouds I lose the dream and wake up.
Sol rests her head on her great celestial pillow, and I rise from my sun-soaked slumber to claim the night.

I become lucid in a crowd at the foot of a stage, watching a band set up, getting ready to play.

For some reason I really want to hear someone in a dream say out loud "I think therefore I am" because it would be really ironic, and interesting. I call out to the band members.

"Hey! Are any of you real?" I call. They glance at each other curiously.
"uuh, yeah." They said
"Do you have your own thoughts?" I ask.
"Yes?" They answer, obviously confused. One or two of them walk away, uninterested.
"Do you know the philosophy of Descartes?" I ask. Most shake their head or ignore me but one of them does answer.

"I do, love" he says, in a strong British accent (reminds me strongly of MB in appearance but I don't think it is supposed to be him) Normally, being called "love" by a stranger would have made me feel condescended and insulted, but coming from him it seemed respectful and familiar.
"What do you think of it?" I ask.
"I think it's shite" (sic) he says with a chuckle. This made me smile too.
"Why?"
"Because, a thing exists, who cares if Descartes knows it?"
"But he is saying that his own thoughts are all he can be sure of, that's still true, right?" I argue.
"No" He says flatly, hopping off the stage to stand eye to eye.
"Even if a thing exists only in your head, it changes the waves, and they all matter" (I assume he is meaning that if something effects your mind than it does have it's own kind of existence. and that is something we can be sure of)

He lifts my hand, palm down, and balances it on his upward facing palm, I take a moment to be fascinated with the realness of the feeling, the weight and the warmth and the texture. Glancing at our hands touching I see every little scar and imperfection that my waking hand has, I also see a small scar on his hand, running along the base of his thumb and wrist, I see that his finger tips are wide and flat, and pale with callouses, From playing the guitar I realize.

He explains, cutting off my train of thought:
"We sense each other, in a way you change me, no matter how small, love. That means you exist."
I take a long few seconds to absorb his words, committing them to memory, I'm fascinated with his insight, and that alone is proof of his argument. I get the rush of dopamine that comes with small epiphanies.

"You're not real" I blurt out suddenly "I'm dreaming you."
He wasn't angry as I expected he would be, but he smiles and lets my hand down gently.
"I know" he says, winking, then turns and jumps back on the stage where the band has been waiting for him. The crowd begins to cheer as he goes up.
