That might not be a bad idea. Maybe I'll try growing a few things.

Am I the only one that feels humanity has yet to evolve itself out of the dark ages? Our civilization believes itself to be so advanced because of things that don't even matter, higher tech fancy gadgets and gizmos. But despite a few laws that make things slightly more civilized society hasn't changed much over the last thousand years. Life is still all about greed power violence it's all the same on and on for hundreds thousand years.

Am I the only one that wishes they were born as a monkey instead of human?

I mean I was thinking about it and I think monkey's have the best lives of all species. I used to think I would be happier born in some jungle tribe in brazil living wild with no concept of the modern world. But I think being a monkey would be even better, possibly chimpanzee. Gorillas are too big and heavy.

Some kind of monkey big and strong enough to be safe from most predators and yet still small enough to be light and agile enough to swing and run through the trees. Very humanlike, plenty of food with leaves and insects and whatever fruits they find hanging from trees. And just running super agile and free through the jungles. Trying to think of anything that might be better. Not even an eagle. As awesome as it would be to be an eagle soaring through the skies they are still pretty limited, they are not too great on the ground. The perfect sized monkey however soaring through the trees and exploring the land and jungles like some kind of humanoid squirrel. Sigh, what a life. I'm jealous.

Edit: Kind of funny when I made this post and was thinking about the monkeys. I wasn't even thinking about how when I was a kid I was a tree climber. I loved being high up in the trees. I wasn't at all afraid of falling. I was very confident and comfortable in my tree climbing abilities. I could even go from tree to tree sometimes when the situation was right. If the trees were close enough together and I could get a good foot and hand hold. I was always scanning the trees deciding if they were climbable or not. Even as a teen the big tree in our back yard, I could climb to the heights and chill up there. I was even smoking pot up there in the trees back then lol.

Earlier years at a different place there was a stand of trees where I was always climbing in. And I found the best spot to chill. I was already a book reader and I would carry my book high up into the tree where my favorite spot was. A spot that seemed made for me to kick  back and relax. I could put up my feet it was like a natural recliner in the trees and I'd sit up there and read my book. Until some annoying grown ups came along and yelling hey you kid get down from those tress lol. They were afraid I would fall. But I knew I wouldn't, and never did.

Time to invest in a tree house for you, I think.
I don't think I'd like to be a monkey so you may be the only one.  ;)

I was a tree climber as a kid too. Me and my siblings used to do the tree crossing thing as well, basically running and swinging and jumping through the trees as if we were monkeys. I do miss that. I drove by my gram's the other day and the bush has grown up almost along side her house. I said, "Man, kid me would have been swinging through those all those trees like a scraggly malnourished tarzan.

How about this, we should climb a tree this weekend for old time's sake.

Lol. There must be someone out there that wishes they were a monkey too. Can't imagine any more free of an existence in this world. As long as being wild in the jungle that is.

That's cool that you were a climber too. I wonder what the nosey busy body neighbor lady would think if she saw me out in the trees lol. I once thought about going out into the yard and crawling around and my hands and knees cutting the grass with a scissors just to freak her out and give her an RC moment.

I was going to climb a tree last weekend but chickened out because it was in a nicely landscaped park and I'd probably be arrested for being crazy or something.

Am I the only one who doesn't use an air conditioner?
I made a vow to myself years ago that I would not use one because if my ancestors could tough out the summer without one, surely I could too. I do use oscillating fans though, when it gets too hot. I doesn't really cool me down on hot days, just keeps some movement in the air. Which is nice too.

I've not been using it much this year so far wanting to have my windows open on the porch. I figured out that I don't even need it much sitting on my porch out of the sun I still get kind of cold sometimes even when it's 90 degrees just sitting, and end up putting on a sweat shirt. I don't even turn the fan on much because of the sound of it. If there is any wind outside I can get a nice breeze coming through the windows that feels good. But the humidity can get so thick my note book for taking dream notes feels damp. And the pages of my calendar all curled over from the dampness. Today is supposed to get up to 95 degrees though. But I'll be going to work in the afternoon.

Edit: Right now my computer says it's 89 degrees outside. But it feels perfectly comfortable and cool sitting here on the porch and a nice breeze blowing through. It doesn't even feel that humid at the moment. But I bet when I go into the sun and into my car to go to work in it's going to feel scorching hot out there.

The last couple of days had me seriously regretting not having an air conditioner. Super humid in the morning and then baking hot in the afternoons. My puny little fans didn't cool me off at all, just circulated the hot, humid, murderous air inside the house. Today is a welcome break from the heat. Rained out, and today was mostly overcast with a cool breeze.  :yahoo: Just bummed around the house most of the day.

Am I the only one who wants to be turned into a diamond after they die?
Everyone I know thinks this is a crazy idea but I like the thought of becoming a diamond, I could be rolling around on the planet for millennia after my death.

I hope I never have to come back at all.

Am I the only one that thinks it's very strange that so many people eat the same food on the same day just because that is what everyone else is doing?

Am I the only one that wonders what the point is in making a video for a news article, and then have to read the video? I see it all the time. Some dramatic music, some video images, then text across the video so you have to read it. Maybe I'm missing something but goes completely over my head what the point of making the video is instead of just having an article to read. Seems like a waste of time and effort and at least to me, makes it seem very amateurish and less credible whatever it is they're trying to convey.

I've never seen such video news articles and I hope I don't see them. Sounds completely stupid but there must be a reason for it? Though I can't begin to fathom what that reason might be.

Am I the only one who actually feels a warm and fuzzy love for the moon and stars? (even though I actually ate the moon in a dream the other night). I saw the moon tonight, the first time in days, and just adored it, with an adoration that I can't seem to muster for people. A lunatic in more ways than one?

Weird those article pop up for me all the time.

Without the moon it would be more difficult to see and feel how strange it is, this infinite void we all float through on such a little ball of rock.

That is magical. I listened to it while writing out my journal entries. Thank you.

Someone I listen to when I want to get into a more traditional mind set is Joanne Shenandoah. She is an Oneida singer with many albums out there. Oneida language is 80% similar to Mohawk language, 30% similar to the other 4 of the Six Nations of the 'Iroquois' Confederacy. She has a beautiful voice. My favorite is Peace & Power from the Journey of the Peacemaker.
