Yes, that's possible too.  It is hard to maintain the best habits all of the time, and we were especially motivated then.

That's probably a much better explanation.

Well, I've suggested to people who missed the Back to Basics to go through it once even without the rest of the group...

The habits are hard to keep up, and the community alongside makes it easier... but I think we'll find that it was simply keeping to the habits that made the lucidity rise.

And maybe Rak's stats will show that, as we go through more of Seeker's workshops XD

I'm in. From July 8th to the 13th I will be at the IASD annual dreaming conference in Montreal so I'm sure I'll be lucid at least a few times during that week.

What really bothers me is that despite wanting to keep some sort of habit going (such as simply going to sleep / waking up at a set time), I still seem to be unable to get myself out of this slump that I've been in for about two months. I'm constantly oversleeping and whenever I decide to focus of being mindful of whats going on around me I just feel too tired to do so (as if I'm somehow missing the ability to be motivated about anything). Even thinking about the things I want to accomplish makes me downhearted and the days just seem to drag on in a slugish blur (which is why I haven't been on MM for quite a while now, everything seems to be too much effort right now).

Hope you don't think Im being too nosey but is there something in your life right now that is causing your downheartedness? I know that when things start getting hectic or stressful in my life that I start to feel that lack of motivation as well. At any rate, perhaps participating in this workshop will get you focussed on dreaming again.

I have to say that I'm looking forward to this very much but I will be gone from the 8th - 10th. I'm going on a group fast at a healing garden and I hightly doubt we'll have internet access. I'm taking a journal to record my dreams, hoping that I will have some interesting ones after having fasted for a couple of days.

May I participate? I'm back by unpopular demand (as NeAvO would say).
I haven't had a decent lucid in weeks.

Actually, you're both here by very popular demand.

Is it possible that the Workshop promoted good lucid dreaming habits and when it was over your habits changed? That seems too obvious but sometimes the simple answer is best.

Not only possible but extremely likely. I know for a fact that's happened to me.

I'm in. From July 8th to the 13th I will be at the IASD annual dreaming conference in Montreal so I'm sure I'll be lucid at least a few times during that week.

Oeh, just in time, I'd love to join as well! Last workshop was in a difficult period for me to keep up with the exercises, but now I'm totally ready for it!
Completed lucid challenges:

Intermediate: IA WW EF TK

Lucid count:
DILD=14??:: WILD=8 :: total lucid time: approx 3h 50 mins
2007: DILD=16, WILD=13, total lucid time approx 1h 50mins

Hope you don't think Im being too nosey but is there something in your life right now that is causing your downheartedness?

Well I wrote some exams a while back which probably subtly increased my worrying about not amounting to anything in life (or agonizing about how I should be thinking about life in the first place).

Wow. That'd do it. This will probably sound stupid but try not too worry much about the future. Pick out and savor the little joys you have at present when you start thinking too negatively about the future. It works for me.

Don't remind me of the hunger to come. I can imagine myself sleepwalking and finding food to cram into my face in the middle of the night, the only one waking in the morning with a smile on her face.

Thanks for the lovely comment. You actually made me crack a smile.
Also, I still have a hell of a hard time writing your name.

That's some good advice.

Well, I guess it's too late to join this workshop.

Looking forward to the next one!

Its too late to join the workshop and do it while the rest of the community is, but all of Seeker's workshops can be done on an individual basis, and repeated as necessary.
