I had this amusing moment just before waking up for the final time this morning. Copied from my dream Journal

I have a very funny moment where I hear some sort of jet sound and I look up and see a naked man flying through the sky and waving down at me. It's hilarious as all hell and I go back into the place I was at and start telling people how I see a flying naked man in the sky waving at me. I know no one is going to believe such a crazy story but it's funny as hell and I'm like no really I saw it. I think he had some sort of jet pack I couldn't see it but I could hear a jet sound. I then think about putting this in the Reality Check Moments thread. Then I remember I should do a reality check because it's always stupid when I think it's a reality check moment and don't actually do a reality check. So I go to look at my watch and my watch is not on my wrist, crap, I think, I must have taken my watch off for whatever reason. So I start to look around for some kind of text to read and look away from and look back at to see if it changes. As I'm looking for something to read, I think about doing a nose pinch reality check. But as I think about the nose pinch reality check I wake up. So I guess getting lucid wouldn't have mattered much anyways as it was already wake up time.

After waking I was laughing about the flying naked guy waving at me for some time. That would be so much fun in reality flying around naked and waving down at people to freak them the hell out. "WTF a flying naked guy!" The police can't arrest me for public nudity until I run out of jet pack fuel, ha. Still laughing. Good stuff.

Looking at my watch to check the date and it still says it's Saturday the 12th when in reality it's Sunday the 13th 4:21am. The time is right but the date isn't. Hmmm, before going to sleep I decided to reset the time on my watch an hour ahead because of daylight savings time. Usually I'm lazy about resetting my watch and just leaving it for a while knowing it's an hour later so it doesn't really matter as long as I know it's an hour later or earlier than what it says it doesn't make much difference. But last night I had  decided to reset it right away and get it over with. (My watch is more for telling me if I'm in a dream than telling the time anyhow. Otherwise I wouldn't be wearing one at all.) I guess I must have done something to mess up the date while I was resetting the hour.

Edit: I fixed the date on my watch but today I realized it has now jumped ahead a day, Weird.

-Driving to work I decided to do a reality check when I saw a van with a ridiculous amount of ladders strapped to the top of it. I saw all these ladders piled on top of this van driving along and thought to myself "That's just weird who has just stacks of ladders to strap onto their van?" I decided it was reality check worthy as I can see seeing such a random thing in a dream. Just a pile of ladders on top of a van driving along. Funny.

I'm talking with a woman with a heavy Russian sounding accent. The woman tells me she has seven kids then winks at me and walks away leaving me to guess at what the wink was supposed to mean.  ;)

This just popped up on my youtube recommendations. Weird and pointless enough for me to do a reality check. I mean the only thing I can take form it is "Have you ever had a dream of using your computer and seeing a video clip of something weird and pointless enough that hopefully causes you to do a reality check and become lucid?" Yeah I can see that for sure.

I go to the DMV to try to renew my drivers license before it expires on the first of June. I get in line outside the building and an old man in front of me turns around and starts talking to me and shows me photos of his grand kids that he has hanging from a thing around his neck. Then all of a sudden he holds up this large book/folder he is carrying and opens it up. The thing turns out to be a photo album filled with old photos from his entire life going back to the 1970s. He proceeds to tell me his entire life story flipping through the book and showing me the photos of his entire life. I'm just like wow bizarre he is carrying an entire photo album of his life to the DMV while just there to pick up tabs for his car.

I thought this kind of thing was just supposed to happen while traveling on an airplane or something. And the whole thing seemed surreal and similar to the situation I was in that I recognized in my last lucid dream that I didn't post. While it was interesting and all I was kind of stressed out just being there and figuring out what I was supposed to be doing so it was more of an annoying distraction while he for some reason is going on about his daughters boyfriends and what not and her life too.

Anyways after figuring things out and getting a number and filling out the form and sitting there for nearly an hour waiting for my number to come up. It's finally my  turn and they tell me my social security number keeps bounce back as invalid (Then I realize why which until now has never caused me any major problems) But my mother in an very unwise moment had put a different name on my social security number than is on my birth certificate and according to new laws all the info on both documents has to match. And since mine doesn't they will not renew my drivers license.

So I'm kind of fucked now because I have only about  two weeks until my license expires to get my name changed on my social security card to the correct name before I can go back and get my license renewed. And it's a major pain in the ass process and long drive to some place I don't even know how to get to to do it.

It's like thanks mom for putting a name that is not even my name on my social security card. How did you not think that wouldn't end up causing me some kind of problems in my life at some point.

But on the plus side at least if I'm unable to get my license renewed before it expires it's early summer and I can at least get around on my bike if need be. I'm thankful this isn't happening in the middle of January or February when it's twenty plus below zero outside. And found out I have a year after license expires to get it renewed before having to take a drivers test again so that's good at least. So should be alright just a major pain in the ass to have to deal with. Especially since have to go find a very inconvenient location to say the least and is not very close to home. And once that's all dealt with go back to the DMV again and try again and hope I pass the eye test or going to have to go to the eye doctor too and get a new prescription which I know I probably need. But I think I can still see plenty good for my far vision with my glasses on so should be able to pass the test. It's just now days I have to take them off when looking at things near to me so never wear them any more unless I'm outside or driving or trying to watch the TV from across the room. But every thing near to me is clear with them off and blurry with them on. But stuff far away is blurry with them off and clear with them on.

I actually had thought about getting a new prescription before going to renew my license but I don't want to pay for it if I don't have to and can see fine. Pretty easy to take them off or put them on as needed. Not that inconvenient to do.

I'm standing outside the house when a random bird comes out of nowhere and fly's right up to my face flapping it's wings and hovering for a moment in front of me staring at me. Then further surprising me by instead of flying off as I thought it was going to the bird drops to the ground at my feet and hops around by my feet seemingly completely unafraid of me. I'm like wow, strange. The bird hops around by my feet for a few moments then hops along out into the yard looking for things to eat in the grass I guess.

I then realize that I'm standing under an overhang and I wonder if maybe the bird was building a nest on the overhang behind me and that's why it came flying up to me like that, expecting to go to a nest but finding me standing in it's way. But looking around at the overhang behind me I don't see any kind of nest even begun yet and the bird wasn't carrying anything in it's beak either.

The incident with the bird  made me wonder if it had influenced a dream I had later in a nap of an odd little creature the size of maybe a mouse that I used telepathy to communicate with. Maybe some low level lucidity in that one not sure. But in the dream I was thinking about how I use telekinesis and decided to try using telekinesis as telepathy. So in similar fashion as I would use telekinesis I reach out with my mind feelers. But instead of gripping and moving as I feel my target I send out a verbal thought/question.  "Can you hear me?" The little creature stops turns to look at me and speaks out loud responding with the simple answer. "Yes."

I just stumbled upon video footage of a tornado on the ground very near to where I live that was taken by school security cameras. I had not been aware that there had been a tornado in the area. I knew there were some warnings though.

Not a massive city flattening type as that is pretty rare for this part of the country. But powerful enough that a parked car can be seen lifted completely off the ground and sent tumbling away as if it were a toy.

In the lucid dream I had last night (that I've not recorded yet) for some unknown reason as I'm walking (Well for some other unknown reason as I'm walking  I'm thinking about the invention of the air plane and the wright brothers and what it must have been like the first time getting one of their contraptions to fly.)  As I'm thinking of this all of a sudden I have a parachute. as I grip the cords of the parachute the parachute itself catches air currents and pulls me up into the air.

I'm drifting gliding by way of the parachute on the currents over beautiful scenery of hills and rivers until I get higher and higher and the parachute is pulling me high into the sky. And all day at work today I'm thinking about the experience and how wonderful it felt.

When I get home from work I turn on my computer and open my youtube page. What's the first thing I see for my recommendations? This video of a guy flying high into the sky with a parachute.

The drive home from the social security office yesterday my GPS took me through my old neighborhood and past the house I grew up in as a teen. The same house I was sleeping when for the fist time I purposely induced my first lucid dream in the 80's when I had no idea if it was something that could actually be done but was determined to make happen. Coincidentally on a day having gotten lucid the previous night.

And also took me past the location of the train bridge over the Mississippi river that I used to climb and balance across the beams underneath it to cross the river and still to this day often shows up in my dreams in some form or another. Where I met the queen of hearts for the first time at a Valentines day party just down the road. And where I lived when I saw Metallica's Master Of Puppets tour in 86 with Cliff Burton. Days of rocking my guitar all day and playing at parties all the time with my brother on the drums. I've not seen that area in twenty plus years. Didn't even know how to get there from where I'm living now.

Then continuing on, closer to home, I see this person in a, pedal car? Like something out of the Flintstones cartoons. Can see the feet underneath pedaling away. But shaped sort of like a Volkswagen bug with bicycle wheels riding down the road like any car. Blinkers and all going into the turn lane. At first I'm thinking that's really cool I want one of those! But then I have to wonder, what is the point/purpose of all that extra material/weight, to make a bike look like a car? Other than to be like hey look at my bicycle car isn't it cool! Only benefit I can think of compared to a bicycle is maybe being covered inside if it rains. Otherwise it seems you're just making it more work for yourself and difficult to impossible to navigate tight spaces or trails or curbs. I'm thinking it's better to just have a good bike to get around on more easily with less effort. And not being limited to the road with that big clunky contraption as weird and interesting as it is to look at.

Just now, I was looking at my tidal music page and a live version of "Am I Evil" by Metallica in Mexico comes up and listening to it. Oddly though they start randomly playing "Smoke On The Water. For just a moment before going back to "Am I Evil"  And "Smoke On The Water" being the first rock song I ever learned to play on the guitar as a kid. You know. Da da da, da da, da da, da da da, da da. Trying to spell guitar rhythm sounds now... Also later enjoyed playing my version of "Am I Evil." Anyways all of a sudden I hear this little chime for a pop up and a little pop up message on the lower right side of my monitor appears and it says. "You're in a dream." I'm like, what?  lol. I'm in a dream? Reality check says no I'm not. Too bad. Will be soon though tired as hell and about 1:00am now.

Maybe luck was on my side dealing with the issues with renewing my license last week which prevented me from getting work done on my car which (Mostly) prevented me from driving right into this area today. Glad I decided to stay home. Though I probably would have left early enough to miss the storms.

Edit: They eventually reported a total of nine tornadoes touched down in that part of the state that evening.

I had a strange zombie dream where some kind of mutant plant with tentacle like vines was somehow bringing dead humans to life as zombies and using them sort of like extensions of itself. And the only way to stop the zombies was to attack and kill the plant that was controlling them.

The next day I see this video highlighting mutant plants and it kind of freaked me out because of just having a dream about a mutant plant. It's weird how often something related to a dream shows up in waking reality.

Just saw some note left by a new trainee at my place of employment that I've not met or even knew was their until I just saw the note. Note says. "I won't be coming in next Friday because I'm going dancing with my girlfriend thanks for understanding." lol. WTF is wrong with people in this day and age. I can't even fathom trying to use the excuse, sorry too busy to work, got to go dancing you know. I got priorities and going dancing trumps showing up for the job I just applied for and got hired to do. Great first impression of your work ethics dude. Sad thing is, even if he doesn't find someone to cover the shift for him and just no shows he will still have a job. That should be an automatic I decided to quit my job for my dance night situation.

I should send the boss a text and tell him I'm not coming in to work Wednesday because I'm going dancing instead lol.

I did think it would be funny though, if one of these days if I decided to randomly hop on a plane to the Amazon like I have a very strong desire and possibly intent to actually do at some point. Send a random text to the boss, can't work today I've gotten myself lost somewhere in the Amazon. Send him some photos of the jungle and ocean beaches ha ha.

Lol. How about show up for your shifts and play when you're scheduled off instead of learning to screw over the people you were supposed to be working with.  Or, here is an idea. Request time off for planned events, or ask someone if they can switch shifts to cover for you. Sorry won't be there for my shift because of something stupid like going dancing lol. I don't even want to waste my time and effort training someone like that. And doing it on their first schedule even doesn't bode very well for their reliability or responsibility.

Got a funny idea. Going to see if I can get a bunch of people to start posting on the schedule app. Sorry, can't work today, going dancing, thanks for understanding hahaha.
